Automatic updates of Adobe and Microsoft Windows.

A month ago, I asked a question in this article.

At the point where I do not consider what has caused the problem as carefully as how do to solve the problem.

This time, however, I would like to examine what is the cause of the problem more than the how to overcome.

I have recently been informed by the Manager to update to Adobe Adobe Flash Player v.10.0.42.34 is available.

Because I was busy working, I accepted the update without thinking. Later, I reconsidered and checked my Windows 7 computer.

I discover that I have exactly the same problem I had a month after using the auto update from Adobe.

I find that Flash objects appear sometimes; sometimes appear and disappear and sometimes do not appear.

Out of curiosity I checked my laptop Vista, no problem. Then I downloaded the update from Adobe and immediately I have the same problems with Flash.

I tried my old Tower of the XP and things were OK on this machine. I downloaded the update here and the same thing happens with Flash objects.

All computers use Windows; all are using IE8; and all are up-to-date.

Why my computers show Flash perfectly for a month, but immediately after an automatic update of display problems?

Hi wired_retired, I am at home and online discount. It is aggravating when the updates are not going smoothly.

I had an update invites on the latest version of Adobe, myself and got tangled up in the web too. Was no DLM, but it was much easier for me to take the necessary steps to make the necessary corrections. It is always easier when you have the computer in front of you. Display back takes a little more time.

As far as future updates are concerned, a new version is now in beta. When will the final version be released I don't know.

There are a few things you can check to make sure that everything is in order for this.

Now that all 3 are working correctly, it would be appropriate to do so.

1. go to tools and check your manage add ons (all sections), find the Shockwave Flash object, make sure it is enabled and it lists ActiveX Control, Flash10d.ocx. It can or does not list the version 10.0.42.34.

2. go in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash. You can post back to me, which is in the list. There should be 4 files it.

Just indicate which computer is if we can keep the information for each correct.

So when the new version comes out and before update you, take another look at the #1 & #2 to ensure that what is listed exactly. Immediately after the update, take other inventory. In this way, we'll know if the changes made by the update is correct.

This is the best preparation I know.

Thank you & happy you are back to normal operation.

I have a MacPro. Recently, my computer was wiped out. I lost all my software. I bought CS2 years ago. I've updated by buying CS5 a few years later. My CS software is automatically updated by Adobe several months ago. Now, when I need to reinstall my software I can not do. I need to reinstall CS2 before I reinstall my CS5 update. However, my computer accepts no more CS2 software. How can I return my software?

I need to reinstall CS2 before I reinstall my CS5 update.

It is not necessary. You need only to re - install the latest version you have (full version or upgrade - all versions include the complete program code, it is the serial number that distinguishes plenty of upgrade)-even on a machine that has never had any installed Adobe software.

The installation program will ask you to enter the serial number from a previous version to verify that you qualify to use the upgrade.

Which is the last version that you own? CS5 or CS6? You have all your serial numbers?

You can download the latest version of download and Installation Help | Download and Installation Help

Install and enter your serial number.

Start the computer in safe mode (press F8 continuously immediately after power and don't worry beeps when you press the button) and let it boot without a network.  Once there right click on the desktop and then click Properties.  Click settings and the value of the monitor mode (640 X 480) VGA or SVGA (800 X 600).  Accept the changes and restart the computer.  You should have a mediocre screen, but you should see it now.  Download and install the appropriate drivers for your video card in the laptop to the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop.  Install the drivers and then you should be able to set the display of the laptop to the correct native resolution for your computer monitor (must be in the documentation of the laptop).

can receive email, but not able to send after the recent ('important') updates of windows have been installed.
also can't see videos on facebook because of the mistakes because of these updates.
I have the my windows update set to automatic and noticed these problems after an update has taken place. I did a system restore and everything worked fine. Needless to say the next day, the same thing. I even went to the windows update to manual setting, and it is always updated by itself. This made 4 consecutive days. now when I go to system restore, I don't even get the opportunity to go beyond 5 days! video errors on facebook tell me that "the video is unavailable" and "video has been deleted or is not visible because of the privacy settings. I also noticed that most installed updates are updates to windows security. and my windows update seems to be popping up constantly telling me ago over updates to install.

    I have a few questions:

    (a) what version of IE are you using?

    (b) has been going through the steps to reset Internet explorer?

You can try to update the version of Flash Player for videos.

I had the Choicepoint Virus a few weeks there and I think you, I took it. I reinstalled SP3 and got IE8 running. Taken from old CA antivirus program. used to get rid of all traces of Norton or Symantec removal tools. MSE installed and everything worked great until a few days ago. I tried to download them from the site manually, but when I click on the IE link is as I am not connected to the internet. Also, I've been to redirected findstuff.com and other search sites when I click on links in Bing. Thinking that I have a new bug. MSE wasn't able to spot it. Niether has Malwarebytes. • Installed Vista Update 1 package and now windows will not start

I have a laptop Acer Aspire 4520 with a 32-bit system 64 x 2 dual core processor with Windows Vista Home Premium and just installed explorer8 updates Vista I get the package. Installed successfully, took about 45 minutes. Tells me to restart my computer. Click on restart. It restarted with goin' through bunch of # s as the first part 24 390 / 74 280 in growing in order to achieve the final number that it stopped at about 34 761 or something like that for over an hour.  I assumed that it froze. I did a hard closed down and after reboot door top, unable to start Windows.  A recent hardware or software change might be the cause and options to start windows normally or start the reboot system (recommended).  I chose normally, microsoft corporation logo came on screen with progress/cargo in addition to this box, and then it turns off and rebooted itself.  This time I chose the launch startup repair and he went to remove some threads or something and add as 9 things that did not file names.  He said he was doing a CLNDSK?  It was the only time he's done this. Now, either you the hit button brings up a blue screen that says "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down windows to avoid damaging your computer."  If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.  If this screen appears again, follow these steps: ensure that new anuy hardware or software is properly installed.  If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the windows updates, you might need.  If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software.  Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.  If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.  Technical information: * STOP: 0x0000C1F5 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0 x 0000000 0x00000000) is once again this whole message on a blue screen in which you can proceed to any other, but to stop the machine.  I even tried the advanced, including Boot Options: repair your computer, safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt Mode Mode Mode, boot logging, enable video low resolution (640 x 480), last good known Configuration (Advanced), Directory Services Restore Mode, Debug Mode and start Windows normally.  Disable the automatic restart on system failure works.  Another option is the F2 key on startup.  I CAN'T go near a window to start it's totally out!  And I do NOT have a disk of Vista, that it came with it.  Need solutions before I go out my hair.  (Good operating system until the download and I only downloaded this because I download Adobe Flash Player 11.2 problems and I thought about updating my Windows can help)  Ready to take this computer back unless it is quickly fixed.
