Automatically add themselves Start Programs Menu

Everytime I open a program, it appears in the start menu "below" of the line. Even if I went to the start menu, click Customize and set the number of programs on the start menu to 5 (programs 'above' the line), the other programs that are already listed nit are themselves list automatically.

Is there a setting to chan ge rather than right click on each one and "manually" off the list each time? Report as abuse

Hello Tiger78,

· This is what happens with all programs?

· The documents also get the list when you open the same?

Restore the settings in the menu by default start and check the results. Follow the steps for the same thing:

a. right click on Start menu

b. click Properties

c. click Customize

d. click the use default settings tab

  • How to add buttons to a menu

I am relatively new to the Prime Minister and fight with moving/adding a submenu to the menu buttons.

I saw a post that mentioned adding a menu marker and it will automatically add it to the menu. This isn't quite my problem, but I apologize if I missed another post which explains how to do what I'm trying

I use version 10.  I have 4 brands of main menu.  The main menu contains the usual play button, then menu markers 2 main.  The other 2 show in a secondary menu.  I want to have all 4 shows up on top of the main menu.  There seems to be plenty of room on the menu.

I don't know how to cut and paste the items of menu or something like that.

Thanks in advance, and I'm sorry if this is covered somewhere else and I missed it in my research.

    Thank you

    Rob,

Steve's suggestion on making changes to an existing Menu set is a good.

There are some levels of customization available in the Meadow, but not SO many.

However, if you are very familiar with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, they understand fully the nuances of Menu sets and start with a set of existing Menu or use one as a 'model', the revised set of Menu can be saved for later use in other projects. However, it is not the easiest task, and again, it must a full understanding of everything in the Menu games.

This article links to a discussion in the Photoshop Forum on the creation or modification of Menu pre sets: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/548222?tstart=90

You should never save on Menu library games, and must become familiar with every aspect of the Menu games. Although I do quite often, I keep still one of the Menus very convenient, as a guide, so that I don't make mistakes.

Also, due to the semi-automatic creation in pre, there are many limitations, which must be respected. As Steve mentions also, it is much easier to use a full application, as DVD Architect.

Good luck and before you start, study the Menu pre sets at length. Gain a complete understanding of naming conventions, and what they mean and do, creating in pre.

  • best way to add and change the menu all programs without turning off UAC?

I just download HJsplit, as someone has sent me a video file into segments to overcome the limitations of attachment size. HJsplit doesn't require installation, but UAC is actually prevents me from adding it to the start menu.

What would be the 'proper' normal procedure to add it to the menu all programs on the start menu, preferably in an existing folder, called "utility" without having to go through two reboots to turn UAC on or off?

If there was a previous version of Windows 95 and XP, I would have included the word "shortcut" in the paragraph above.

Essentially the same as option B in my two ways, but without the use of the command prompt to start the Explorer. I must have accidentally deleted the icon from the Windows Explorer of my account administer as I find it, but it appears in my standard account and backup my admin account.  Thank you, he let discover me the missing icon, and I fixed it.

XP [start /control Control Panel / Add or remove programs / currently installed programs and updates]

22 updates for ms office 2003 dating from 22/01/2007.

8 updates for the 2007 office system compatibility pack that goes back to the 10/02/2010

Are all these necessary, and if not, how can I do to clean them?

    Thank you.

    Hi Renee-me,

I recommend that you do not uninstall the updates that are installed on your computer.

Windows Update makes the secure PC and helps run smoothly.

For more information, refer to this link: Windows Update

We suggest to delete the Windows updates only in troubleshooting an issue that may have been caused by an update. Refer to KB 310312 for more information on how to use the disk cleanup to free up space on the hard disk.

    Hope the helps of information.

I ran a registry by Uniblue Fixer; I tried antivirus scans and analyses ad-aware; nothing seems to work. I still have all my programs and have lost but they are simply not easy access and I really want to take the time to build my own folder "all programs." I really want my old one back. But how?

  • Start the program automatically when windows starts

    Hello..

Ho can I make a program open automatically when windows starts?

    Thank you

There are two ways, see if it does the trick - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/run-program-automatically-windows-starts#1TC=windows-7

  • Hidden auto start programs

To day running 32 bit Windows 7 Professional with an administrator account. When connecting, I have several programs running through the registry (HCU and HLM) or in the all users start menu (Nothing in the user menu). However, I also three programs that run on login that appear here. Two of them, I'm fine with, but the third is getting boring.

As one of the three is Outlook, it is not difficult to try to identify or to search automatically the name of program among the normal sections to run programs and I ran through msconfig and "Autoruns for Windows" without success. Beyond digging by the registry for all instances of outlook.exe where could it be?

If this can help as memory serves that Windows asked me if I wanted to do a default Outlook startup program, and I said yes wasn't expecting to slide into an inaccessible corner until now or I'm not looking for a batch file.

Oh and it isn't a "run when connecting because it was open to the stop/restart" is as I manually stopped each time and it still keeps reappear or y at - it an option for "run at startup" in the program. Even if it was that I'd always be interested know where is stored outlook starts.

Here's some more major keys that can be used:

    1. check all keys \run, \runonce, \runservices and \runservicesonce (not all of them will be necessarily present).

2 HKLM Winlogon, Userinit. This indicates that the program C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe, and the entry ends with a comma. Other programs can be started from this key by adding and separated by a comma. Malware sometimes uses this key.

    3 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify

This key is used to add a program that runs when a specific event occurs. When Winlogon.exe generates an event, Windows will search the key Notify for a DLL to handle this event. Malware sometimes uses this key.

  • I can not manually remove a particular program to add tool / remove programs.

    I use XP Pro . Pack 3.

All, but I can't manually remove a particular program from the add tool / remove programs. The program is "Ulead VideoStudio 8.0"

The registry of the program given below entry between the quotation marks. I ran Microsoft FixIt (diagnose and correct program installation and uninstallation problems automatically) and she confirmed she fixed the error with success, but as I retried to remove said adding tool program / remove programs, it still reflects the same as we. The problem by deleting this program remained pending.

    SYMPTOM:

I TRY TO REMOVE THE PROGRAM FROM THE ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS TOOL,-instead of OPEN the "UNINSTALL PROGRAM", SETUP PROGRAM OPENS RATHER AND ALSO request THAT THE registration KEY into the HOUSE.

AS I ENTER THE KEY of RECORD, THE PROGRAM CONTINUE to INSTALL , BUT ends UP WITH a BOX of DIALOGUE of MESSAGE LIKE "'THE PROGRAM IS ALREADY INSTALLED IN MY COMPUTER:" "

SO I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE LEFT BUT TO STOP THE INSTALLATION (IT IS NOT AN UNINSTALL PROGRAM) WITH THE REST OF THE PROBLEM UNRESOLVED.

NOW WHAT CAN I DO ELSE?

    Thank you & best regards

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

  • Why not just make the Blue Star add bookmarks to the Menu "Favorites"?

Why is the easiest option to add a bookmark must dismiss this bookmark to the phantom Zone?
I guess that very few people want their bookmarks to be added to the section "Unsorted Bookmarks" directly by default, so why the star do this by default? I have given anecdotal-search engine to support my claim, with many people asking a semblance of this question I'm wondering now, and even more that involve people get confused and asking a version of ' where my favorites gone? "after using the icon star, to ignore the"Unsorted Bookmarks""section", if we can call such a 'section '.
I looked in the preferences of an option to change it so the Blue Star would automatically add them to the "Bookmarks Menu" instead of sodding them to Nowhereland, but I'm either missing or it is not there. I did Google for a bit, but I'm tired of dogged by similar information but largely unrelated, or the aforementioned confusion.
I know, I know, I * can * "right click", or I * could * 'double-click' the star icon and change the folder, but why should I do first? It removes the convenience of the "convenient" option
So, the star is, mock me, laughing at my multiple clicks wasted, ignoring that there no mortality of its own to meditate and still somehow with this lack of information against me.
All I wanted was a better way, and it's right there in my face, close enough that I can * click * it, but still far enough away to make fun of my simpler desires.
Thank you for what I guess has your time and review and any hypothetical help you can try to offer.
