Automatically play audio books on iPad

Everytime I open an audio book on my iPad 4 it starts playing automatically. Is this a bug or a feature? And how he stop? I use my iPad in my class and it's really annoying - and unprofessional!

If you open an audiobook, it will start to play, it is not a parameter for iBooks to stop what is happening

  • How can I play audio books and music to the same list of reading, in the same app on my iPhone?

I don't really know where posting this because it applies to music and audiobooks and iTunes, but this corner of the support community seems most likely to be read by people with similar problems.

I've got playlists in iTunes that are a mixture of Media type = Audiobook and Media type = music. In iTunes, they are in the same playlist, and I want to stay in the same playlist - they are language courses. But on my iPhone, digital audio books disappear from music and appear in iBooks (and in a book audio browser, the app I use audio books). It's the same playlist is now not only in two different playlists, but in totally different applications.

Is there a way to play these files from the same application on my iPhone, rather than having spread them over two applications? I guess the most likely option is an application that includes all the audio files on the iPhone, not only music and audio books not only. Such an application exist?

(Yes, I could theoretically change all in the music, or any audio book, but many of them have four-digit numbers, and if I change those files the track numbers will disappear and the playlists will be totally screwed.)

    Thanks in advance.

Want very it is a third party application that can play audio books and music - particularly iTunes purchases items. You can certainly check the app store.

But yes, the unit and the apps work as expected.

  • Bought the audio book on iPad but not displayed on the iphone

I bought an audio book of iTunes on my iPad and he listened.

I searched to download on my iPhone to listen to him out there, but is not display purchased. In fact, he wanted to charge me again for download. Any ideas please?

Audio books is a download-only single, it will not appear on your phone for redownloading. You must connect the iPad to iTunes on your computer and file > devices > transfer purchases to copy on the audio books/books section of your library and then you can sync it to your phone.

  • audio books on iPad

After you download a book audio on iTunes store and spent several hours I can't always find.  I read the post and think I've tried everything but no book.  I see it clearly on my iMac where I downloaded it.  but after syncing the iPad many times I can not locate.

    Thanks for any help.

If you connect the iPad to your Mac, you chose the iPad to your Mac, his books iTunes audio tab selected and selected and only synchronized audiobook? If your slogan is correct and that your iPad is on iOS 6.1.3 then it should have copied on the application of music on your iPad. If it's false and it's on iOS 8.4 + then it should be in the collection of audio books in the iBooks app.

  • played via car ipod plug iPod plays audio books too fast

I have a new Skoda Yeti with an ipod integrated in decision-making. When I connect my ipod nano he rereads the speech at a very fast pace which is uinintelligible. The music is played at a normal speed.

For modern car audio systems, car audio system does the work of reading, not the iPod.  The iPod is only as a data storage device (like plug a USB with audio files).  In other words, the iPod is not playing the audio file.  You should consult the documentation of the user for car audio system, to see if there is a setting that controls the playback speed.

On the iPod (and in your iTunes library), this "spoken word" audio is stored as a song (in your library of music ), or it does not appear as another media type, such as audiobook or podcast?

  • iBooks automatically starts an audio book... How to stop? Help please - thx!

... When I plug Apple EarPods, helmet or an audio jack in my car, iBooks automatically starts an audiobook... it happens all the time when I want to just listen to a song or answer the phone! How to stop?

    Help please - thx!

I have this problem as well on an iPhone 6. I went to Audible for listening to audio books, but iBooks keeps opening and automatic reading a book that I wasn't even listening when I plug in my headphones. Sometimes there is a delay, then I will listen to something on Audible for a few seconds, and then it stops and be interrupted by iBooks from. It is really unpleasant.

I really don't want anything to play automatically when I plug my headphones.

  • I have software version 9.3.1 on my iPhone 6 Plus.  As of today, none of my audio books in iBooks will play.  Please notify.

I have software version 9.3.1 on my iPhone 6 Plus.  As of today, none of my audio books in iBooks will play.  Could someone please advise how this can be solved?

What happens when you try to play (y yo get error messages?), and what did you see if that fixes it for example that you have:

-tried to close the iBooks application via the taskbar of the phone

    -do a soft-reset/reboot the phone

-deleted and synchronized their return from your computer's iTunes library (if you don't have them on your computer then file > devices > transfer purchases before deleting). Or you could, purchases on the iTunes store (and are still in the store and you have not reached the country since their purchase) be able to re-download them via the tab purchased in the iBooks app.

  • My audio book purchases aren't syncing my iPhone to my iPad. Is there a way to force sync my purchases on all my devices?

I bought a few different books on my iPhone and I wanted to listen to them from my iPad Pro (because these speakers are amazing) but when I went to the iBooks app, my purchases of books were there. But not my audio books. Is there a way to force synchronization? They do not appear in the section "purchase" of the store on the iPad either for redownloading. It seems to only exist on my iPhone.

No, audio books is an exception in that they cannot be redownloaded. You can transfer these purchases to iTunes on your computer and then synchronize other devices with iTunes to transfer audio books to them.

  • Walkman could stop playing at SMS report? Option desired audio book.

Hello. I chose active Walkman phone (my E1 a physical button to Walkman!) because I like listening to podcasts/audio books. In general I listen to them during my bike rides. Unfortunately, unlike my previous phone (Sony Ericcson), Walkman app does not stop playing when SMS is received and reported. Played stuff is quiet but going on when I hear would roll sound SMS (about 1.5 sec) and because of this I lose a few words, what I don't like. Phones Sony Ericcson, when an SMS coming in the opposite direction, or because of the phone call, overturned a few words (about a second?) book audio/podcast is playing. I would like to have such an option "audiobook" regarding some of the Walkman.

You must send to Sony developers because it is a user led support http://developer.sonymobile.com/about/how-do-i-get-in-contact/ Forum

  • Audio books play in the right order

I have a laptop with Windows 7, but if I try to read an audio book, he will play, but in the wrong order.  The only way I can listen to it is to highlight every piece he plays, but it's not ideal.  They play fine on a regular CD player. Any ideas?

Hi Louise - Welcome to the community...

I expect what you're saying the disc you are playing has the data files on it (no audio) and they are probably classified in a way that should reorganize to WMP.

If you open the cd in the computer - cd/dvd drive what information see you here on the content of the disc? It may be better to download the files from the drive of your pc. and then you can rearrange them if necessary. -R.

  • () Cp.movie.play Audio iPad plays not

Hi, Hello, we have impressive results using Ipad for our software simulation, all this work, Captivate 7.

Only the fact that when we start the html code with the option cp.movie.play ("autoplay", on the Ipad sound)

    That s it people.

On iOS devices we do not support Auto Play because of restrictions imposed by the operating system. iOS download and play media (Audio / video) only on the interaction of the user so we make the user to interact in one time by click on the play button to start the movie and use trigger us the necessary media download and play back

    I hope I'm clear!

Thank you to use the Captivate, you create courses for mobile devices (phones) as well?

  • Shuffle playback audio books out of use

The last two weeks, my Shuffle plays my Audible audio books out of order. They appear clearly labeled as part 1, part 2, etc... However, they end up playing in random order. I tried to do a playlist out of parts, but that did not help or the other.

The Shuffle is nearly three years. I use about 30 hours a week. Is it just the time for a new?

Last week, I bought a Nano, but even after 10 hours of changing the iTunes settings, support Windows 10 settings, chatting with Apple, and try various bugs found on various forums on Apple, I couldn't make it work. The problem with the Shuffle might be related?

The problem with the Shuffle might be related?

Hard to say without more details on the problem using the iPod nano.

For the shuffle, you should try to do a restore on the computer, using iTunes.  The problem may be caused by alteration of the data on the shuffle.  Restore erases the shuffle, reinstall its software and sets it to the default settings.  Try to synchronize your audio books again after the restoration.  The restore button is on the recapitulation of the shuffle settings screen in iTunes.

  • audio book

Perhaps a bit complicated, so I'll try to break it down into bitesized as follows:

1 ripped an audiobook 11 CDs for my Macbook Air. Enjoying listening to viaiTunes game as a medium of Spoken Word, using iTunes game to enjoy in my car via my iPad or iPhone
    2. Decides that it would be cool to have it as an audio book, then he would remember from there where I did play
    3. on my MAC MINI (NOT my MBA), I've selected all MP3 300 - ish and then makes a command-I, added my album art, went to Options, Audiobook selected as media type and reclassified

    4. (I wanted to download the files to iCloud on my MacMini, where my iTunes library backup on an external hard drive, but for some reason it wouldn't download.) But like a fool I advanced and reclassified all the files in a single audio book.)

    5. after reclassification the book, I got a screen advising me that audio books can now be heard exclusively in iBooks.
    6. my newly combined audiobook is not in iBooks, or longer as mp3s in iTunes on my Mac Mini. It is still there on my MBA, merged, unreclassified in audio book.
    7. I want to listen to that tomorrow - what should I do? Where IS the book now? How can I listen in iBooks? If I had known this pain in the * it was going to be, obviously I would never have clicked on 'Audiobook' Media type...

    Thanks in advance.

Change back the kind of media to music. Assuming you are using iTunes game items should appear in your music library to iCloud again.

  • iPhone 7 will not play audio via the USB port on the car.

When I plug my iPhone USB port 7 more in my car (15 Jeep Grand Cherokee), the artist/song/podcast information appears on the screen, but the sound plays through the speakers of the phone.  I have confirmed that my settings are all the same as they were on my 6s, who played without any problems via the USB connection.  Bluetooth streaming works fine - no problems at all.  Any ideas, or is this a problem similar to that people have with CarPlay?

Welcome to Apple Support communities, kevo.mac!

Congratulations on your new iPhone 7 more! I see that you connect with your Jeep Grand Cherokee using the USB port. Everything seems to work fine, except that the music plays through the phone instead. I'll be happy to help you to get this working.

  • I can't get an audio book to transfer to my ipod7

How can I transfer an audio book to my ipod nano 7 of my main computer

If you want to use the Auto Sync (instead of dragging the items to iPod manually in iTunes), find the iPod touch device in iTunes.  The screenshot below shows the upper left corner of my iTunes window, with touch iPod in red circle

Click this buttonto display the settings of the iPod summary screen in the iTunes window.  Along the left side, in the sidebar, under settings, click on audio books.  To the right, the parameters of audiobooks on the iPod screen.

Check the box of the books audio Sync.  This enables the automatic synchronization of audio books.  You can choose to synchronize all of the audio books, or a part of the selection .  Implement this screen as you want, and then click apply.  Go ahead, iTunes automatically updated iPod when you connect (or click sync , if already connected), to keep 'in phase' with your library of audio books (or the selected part).

NOTE: If you want songs to be on the iPod too, in the sidebar of the iPod, under settings, click on music.  Similarly set up screen settings of music from iPod (and apply).
