• AutoSuggest firing problem

  I have a form that contains < cfinput autosuggest > and a < cfinput submit button >. The form is loaded and the user has entered a min of two characters to the fire autosuggest. The drop down menu appears, and the user selects a value. The drop down menu is down normally and the selection is placed in the text box. The user presses the submit button. A div and a grid appear in an adjacent tablayout, are met. This is the behavior, I expect.
  
  But when the user subsequently enters another pair of characters, things get weird. The drop down menu to display normally, but as soon as the user clicks on one of the values, something triggers immediately - before you post button. The div in the adjacent tablayout is not discounted, but the grid tries to repopulate the drop temporarily freezes as it collapses to display the selection in the text box.
  
  Has anyone else seen anything like this?
  
  I'll try to set up a small example of work and post it. Hoping that someone at the same time has seen or knows enough to help.

  In the last model, dsp_org_grid.cfm, I miused the parameter bind "partnername. It was the name of the autosuggest entry on index.cfm, and I stupidly tried to use it as a variable in get_tabdata.cfm. Stoopider still more, I thought then that I was going to bind as a variable, you can even! So every time that the value changed (even before the form has been sent) autosuggest grid updated. The solution of my job was to change the name of the variable to get_tabdata.cfm, pass it to the grid page where it is assigned to a hidden cfinput, and then bind the control to the grid by name, separating the autosuggest grid.

• insert record behavior problem

  Although it might be a problem with mysql, I'm not sure. I use the built-in behavior insert record into DMWCS4 to download data from an online form directly to a MySWQL db table that I put in place via phpMyAdmin on the server. The SQL code of the db table is below:

  the problem I have is that when the form is submitted, the Firstname column in the db, regardless of what is written on the form. I tried to change this line:

  but when I test the form using MAMP I get the message error '' Firstname' column cannot be null.

  I have no idea why this is happening - if I leave the column Firstname as DEFAULT NULL I get no names in the db table, but it won't let me change - any ideas on what is happening here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  Just noticed a typo in:

  GetSQLValueString ($_POST [' name'], "text").

  There is a space between the first and last name in the second case. This could well be the cause of the problem.

  I thought I fixed that, but strange behavior came when I saw with IE 6.0 (the small window opens (expected behavior), followed by the same thing but in bigger window (odd behavior)).

  Of course, we can help.  It is a very common problem.

  Here's your code to anchor:

  Note that you set the href = swf file value (correctly).  And you have added the behavior of DW open browser to ALSO open the swf file in a NEW window.  AND don't miss a thing, you have also added target = "_blank", which ALSO tells the browser to open a new window with the swf file that is listed in the href attribute.  SO, two things happen when the user clicks on the link - a NEW window opens.

  You must do TWO things to solve this problem:

  (1) REMOVE the target attribute by clicking on this link in design and the removal of this value in the target in the property inspector

  (2) ADD; return false; at the end of the event onclick, like this:

  Now, when the user clicks on the link, JUST the new window will open to display the swf file.

  For some of you who may be reading this, I suggest a free utility that will add; return false; in the onclick event, as explained above AND copy the link located in the behavior of the open windows of the browser in the href attribute if you use # or javascript:; for its value.    This helps in search engine optimization.  If you have more than one or two of them to fix, this will take care of any number of them in just a moment to save a lot of time and effort yo.

• Popup with text behavior problem

• AutoSuggest or problem with valueList and dbase

  I have a field autosuggest on a form that displays a list of names. Works good enough shape when the help of valueList (query.column), but my real problem is that in the database of the column contains "lastname, firstname MI", where the name is followed by a comma. ValueList strips everything after the comma, so my list does not display and fills the family names. I need the area because there are more than 4,000 names in the database and 'Smith' appears more than once. The user doesn't know what 'Smith', it is to select. In the cfc, I tried to remove valueList but this action only fills a name in the drop-down list. It defeats the purpose of having an autosuggest field, if only one name appears. Any suggestions? • Behavior problem VLAN

  (Based on activity lights), I noticed that the traffic between two ports of switches VLAN are sent to several ports on switch. Here is my scenario:

  Port 1 is a "mode access" switchport VLAN 100 (100 without label).

  Port 2 is a "mode access" switchport VLAN 101 (101 unmarked).

  5 port is a trunk to VLAN 100 and 101 of VLAN (100 Tags, tag 101).

  I have the host on Port 1, talk to the host on Port 2. When they talk to each other (Unicast), I see port 1, 2 and 5 will light up, indicating that sent also to 5 port unicast traffic. I also confirmed this with Wireshark seeing traffic unicast between port 1 and 2 while sniffing packets on port 5. Why it is sending traffic to port 5 when the switch is quite able to understand that the hosts are on Port 1 and 2 port?

  I understand in the past with the switches is that it generates a table of CAM of mac addresses seen on the ports. It's CAM table should say the switch that the source and destination hosts are on Ports 1 and 2. There is no reason that it should also go to 5 because there is no host it.

  This is not (yet) a switch of production. So I have only three hosts on my network. Here is my config:

  interface vlan 100 ip address dhcp!interface vlan 101!interface ge1 switchport mode access switchport access vlan 100!interface ge2 switchport mode access switchport access vlan 101!interface ge5 switchport trunk allowed vlan add 100,101!

  Then, you use a router as gateway that exists in the WG5 port?

  If this is true, all communications between your hosts will have to go through the router and you will see on this interface if you use WG5 as a SPAN source.

  No, you can avoid this behavior. Whenever a host detects that the destination is in a different subnet, it will use the bridge to get there. Now, if you don't want frames through the hollow of the WG5 trunk, you can use if your switch supports routing routing inter - vlan.

• Open new browser behavior problem

  I've set up a page with text links to open a new browser window and all but one are working properly and are all the same coded. On a link, I get a text instead of the hand pointer cursor. Is this something that I can add the style that will fix this? Here is a part of the code, the 2012 link works fine, but the link 2013 shows the text cursor:

  The usual behavior of a spectator at random, when presented with a new, auto-resized browser window after they click on a link, is to close before he did the loading. but that's only if their Add-ons to pop up in the first place (most of the anti-pop-up modules does not anyway). In general, they are a bad idea, and there is usually a better way, such as the use of a modal window.

• Safari &amp; CSS rollover behavior problem

  I have a navigation bar with working capital and active CSS (CSS3 including easing) settings that are not appear in Safari.  I suspect it has to do with the id selectors, but havn't been able to determine who is at the origin of the problem.  It works great in IE9 and FF4 and degrades well in IE8.  But for a reason, even the simple color attribute does not have the button in Safari.

• AutoSuggest customization (of input length)

  Hello! I need to know how to customize autosuggest behavior. I would like to run autosuggest search after a certain number of characters was typed. If I type in 1 character autosuggest does not start. It should even if after 3 characters.
  I know that I can put suggestedItems to any bean method. And I did this and this method I check the length of the input string but this method should return list < SelectItem >. The problem is when the length of the input string is less than 3, the method returns null and the autosuggest function displays "No results found.". I would like that it displays another message (like "You need to enter more characters.") If the input length is less than 3. "No results found." message should display only when there is no result.

• Satellite U300 - noise problems

  Just got a U300. Beautiful machine, but it's impossible to use in a silent room:

  (1) CPU fan turns on and off all the time; It is calibrated to vary with the temperature of the CPU in a really annoying way: nothing in to 51 degrees, then half speed up to 53 or two, then full blast. Thus, on how high-performance fan continues to go and turn off all few seconds if you do a normal work. So far, the only solution I found is to create a power mode that sets the State of the max processor at 8% and a minimal State to 0%, while the CPU always gets strangled if temperature rises and does never really hot. Of course, this is not satisfactory.

  (2) the hard drive making noises clicking constant (no noise search). I had this before with another laptop, and it's because of the head of parking (car parks the head immediately when it is idle, to save energy). With the other laptop, it was possible to change a setting in the bios for hard drive, disable this special energy saving feature. I was not able to do this with the U300.

  Someone has a solution or does anyone know how to communicate with the engineers from toshiba? Problem 1 is easily fixed with an upgrade of the bios setting fan behavior, problem 2 with an update of the bios hard drive, so it shouldn't take much effort I suppose.

  Satellite U300 is known to me because we have this laptop in our office. It is really nice for laptop and can be taken anywhere. What about these two problems described in your ad?

  Cooling fan is perhaps often turned on but, in my view, it is acceptable. Maybe I see it a little different because we use them in our office and it's not so quiet. In any case, I use two laptops from Toshiba for the moment. One with Windows XP Home edition and Vista. I got two of them to work pretty quiet using level lowest for cooling and method using balanced in Vista power management and reducing CPU utilization. On two laptops I na? poor performance of notice and I don't understand why this is not good for you. Of course, I don't know what you're doing with your laptop, but I use it for Office application and I am satisfied.

  On HARD drive, I can't write a lot because we na? t notice some serious problem. I don't think the BIOS update can change anything.

  I don't understand why you want to communicate with the engineers. They can say, this is just to thank you for your report. I don't see any sense with it. What you need to do is to contact the nearest authorized service provider. Talk with them, explain the situation. They have Toshibaa? diagnostic tools and let s check the HARD drive or motherboard even.

When I select values and click on 'Ok' in the pop - up, the selected values I display by running in the basic page iterator. But select values of get past not through autosuggest behavior and when I click on search and selected by the search or click on LOV icon and selected values are appearing and works as expected, but not by autosuggest.
