  I have a field autosuggest on a form that displays a list of names. Works good enough shape when the help of valueList (query.column), but my real problem is that in the database of the column contains "lastname, firstname MI", where the name is followed by a comma. ValueList strips everything after the comma, so my list does not display and fills the family names. I need the area because there are more than 4,000 names in the database and 'Smith' appears more than once. The user doesn't know what 'Smith', it is to select.   Problem solved. I went back to the sample of Ben Forta and now it works.

  If you are a new user, I suggest you do not go down to the and the path.  It's heavy risk and peril!  All ColdFusion UI stuff (including and ) are built on the obsolete javascript libraries and don't implement all features of these libraries.

  Rather, I suggest that you learn a JavaScript library like jQuery community supported.  It provides fantastic AJAX support and has all the features the UI you need, either as part of the main library, the related jQuery UI library or the myriad of plug-ins free, written by the 3 parties.  There are other libraries that offer similar features too: ExtJS (CF UI stuff is mainly based on a very old version of ExtJS), Dojo and many others.

  Many experienced developers left consciously using the built-in features of ColdFusion UI because of functional limitations and compatibility issues.  Thus, you'll be much less likely to get the help with the problems that you experience using these features.  On the other hand, the community supported JavaScript libraries have a huge userbase (both inside and outside the community of ColdFusion), and without a doubt, you will be able to get help with problems you may encounter.

• Help! Laptop problems after firing AC cord...

  Hello

  While I'm at home, I remove the battery from my Samsung R540 don't not to waste. The other day the power cable was accidentally removed from my computer, turn off the power before turning off my laptop. After that, I plugged the cord back in and switched back on the laptop. It starts normally, but when it came to the office, none of my usual programs open, and everything I tried to click on freeze. CTRL + Alt + Dlt came with
  "Failure to display security options and closing" so I rebooted, waited a good 30 minutes and everything was always cold and does not. I rebooted again and again, tried with and without the battery or the charger. I ran a Norton scan virus and CHKDISK, both came with nothing. I did a system restore and clean the disc. I want defragmented too, but Disk Defragmenter does not open for some reason any.
  So now I can only use it in "Safe Mode" and it is such a pain.
  Is the problem caused by a program that was opened when the plug is out, or I have something inside the damaged computer? What can I do about it?

  Unless the laptop was jerky around by the power cord before it broke, it is unlikely that there is damage to the computer laptop itself. It is more likely that the cached data has been lost before they have a chance to be written to the hard disk.

  Open a command window with administrator privileges, type "Chkdsk/r" (without the quotation marks), and then press ENTER. You will get a message that the system volume is in use, you want to run it the next time you start. Press Y and enter. Reboot and run. It may take some time because the /r switch checks the entire disk, not just the data sectors. It will be fix errors and try to recover readable information if there is no bad sectors.

  If Windows still does not start successfully, open a command window, type "sfc/scannow" (without the quotes) and press to enter. It will search all missing or damaged system files. I hope this take care of the problems.

  I guess you don't have a recent backup or an image of your hard drive? Now may be a good time to consider putting a system backup in practice, once you get the laptop back to paragraph portable computers, by their very nature, are more likely to lose HDD/damage, therefore, always a good idea to have a recent backup or an available image :-)

  Yep - it is a right pain in the older versions of Oracle.
  You must be an associative array with column.

  However, it may be that you're abusing collections etc when the best solutions is always a single SQL statement:

• Problems with cf8 AutoSuggest

  I use cfinput autosuggest with as ny described Ben Forta in his book cf8.
  I have the following questions.
  How to make more than 10 items to display in the list?

  I don't know if I'm looking at the right place, but maybe someone can help with information.

  Previous Verizon DSL, now Frontier DSL for about 2 months (they bought Verizon).

  Until this morning, by entering the url of all that was needed was enough information (ie: "Amazon" for amazon.com.) ("drudge" for drudgereport.com, etc.) then FF would complement the address and ".com", ".net", etc., and then I went to the desired location.

  However, this do when used, rather than fill in the address and arrive at my destination, I would be redirected to a "Yahoo search assist border" page where I could then click on the result and get on the site, I desired. Only by typing the entire URL could bypass the redirect.

  I checked to see if my "true/false" for FF have been in operation required and they were. Scan virus Ran and came clean so contacted technical support online frontier, since Yahoo is the partner of their research and I continued to meet at the border home page.

  After pulling up from my account, the rep online (they have only one, only ONE, for the entire online tech support staff) told me that he has never heard of just by typing in keywords for addresses and that he STILL had to enter in all of the thing.

  Then, he suggested I do a Google search for my problem.

  Zero I cancelled the session online and called to the 24/7 phone support. At the time where my account information were fired upward with the phone rep, that the problem has disappeared as if by magic.

  So my questions. Was it a coincident temporary bug with FF (I'm a beta tester crash test dummy), a bug not taken with my virus/malware scams or... Path of the border to distract me from Yahoo to generate advertising revenue.

  The calendar shows the third option, it's the first and only time this has happened since the online in 2003, but before we get IN. with Frontier, I felt I needed more information.

  I couldn't find specific information on the border, but many ISPS have begun to use a 'area of assistance Service' for stealing web addresses which do not solve exactly as you typed them. You should ask them how you can unsubscribe from this service.

• Windows - WDS deployment services. Need help please for password of mystery problem

  Just need help or advice about a problem that's been here recently. I'll give you the sequence of events so that you can better understand.

  An audit has been ordered here where I work and as I had just started working here 3 months ago, I decided to lock the network and make sure that everything was safe.

  There is no service account, and the administrator account was used to run all 3rd party applications, so you can imagine what happened when I changed the admin password.

  Before I did I created service accounts and exchanged them one by one, but the only problem that remains is WDS. When we PXE boot and deploy the image it is the language selection screen and also ask the domain credentials of junction. I have setup a DomainOverlord service account, checked and done so he could join machines to the domain and replaced the old administrator username and password in the AutoUnattend.xml file but it seems not to pick up the password.

  Is there something that I am missing? Is it possible to check which file AutoUnattend.xml using the WIM file? The person who told of course establish a bit messy and I can see at 8-9 AutoUnattend.xml in random places on the server. I changed the details in each one, but it is not always the image itself.

  Any help would be great, the guy in front of me got me fired, I begin to understand why!

• Rebel T3i Flash problem?

  Hi all

  I was recently given a T3i as a birthday gift.  I've been playing with the camera and have noticed a weird problem with the built-in flash.  She fires as expected when you use the viewfinder, but when using the screen live LCD or quick modes, popping up from flash flashes a busy screen, and try to take a picture will result in flash not firing and the camera all becomes unresponsive.  It will not respond to any key, except the menu and playback buttons, and it does not appear to turn on and off by switching the power switch.  These symptoms persist until I have remove and replace the battery.  Is - it so the camera is supposed to work?  I have read that you cannot use live modes with an external flash, but it also includes the bulit in one?

  Check the website to see if you have the latest firmware for the Canon camera.  He shouldn't be locked up in the way you described.

  I never used the fast mode on my T5.  And, I rarely use flash, simply because it is not very good beyond a distance of 5 to 10 feet and more than the typical kit lens, 18-55 mm, lenses tend to cast a shadow on the image.

• HP Pavilion DV6-6110us: dead computer - CPU problem?

  This computer is a HP Pavilion DV6 that no longer works.  The caps lock flashes and the wireless light turns orange.

  The 'professional' consultation, we said that the video processor was not seated properly on the motherboard and that they could try a sort of re-flow by the firing chamber and replace the video to see CPU, moment of dismantling, there is no piece where it is supposed to be (must be somewhere else).

  In addition, after searching for flashing caps on the web lock, I discovered that there are several indicators which transmits this signal, and after reviewing the table, it seems that the boss of flashing light indicates that the cpu has failed.

  So, at this point, I plan to replace the cpu. Any ideas on what are the best and/or most affordable options? Also is there advice and / or tricks I should know when you perform this repair?

  The diagnosis following your fake is... It is a sign of chess chess not CPU GPU. Most users think that it is the CPU and it is not. Your video Chipset has failed, and unless you get this replaced chipset or buy a replacement with the failure of video chipset motherboard fixed replacement CPU will not fix your problem. It is a GPU failure and looking for your system has AMD GPU and very probably, it was not and must be replaced. Of course they are not professional if they do not notice that there no video chipset. Video HD Intel and Intel CPU rarely fail why because if that were the case you would hear of such failures, news bulletins, but you do not have. Options at the moment are

  1. replace the Board of directors by Council renovated with chipset failure set

  2. sell your system and get a better system that does not breakdown video chipset

  I saw that others the list of problems they have with the last round of updates (August) for the dashboard. Is anyone having a problem with the dashboard directly goes mode full screen after dismiss you a custom alert? It started to happen suddenly after the last update for me (only if you use a custom such as Pandora radio alarm) and I'm NOT using the theme fullscreen. I called support and it was for them, but I can't believe that no one else has this problem.

  I had this problem. My Custom detectors were going to a specific channel when they were fired. This channel has come full screen instead of the mode of Dashbard I wanted (and before the update).

  For now, because I really ony a channel, I modified my custom detectors to return home instead of the specific channel. So far, it's working.

  I know that this is not a solution if you have several channels and before you had Custom alarms will different channels when closed.

  I am able to load the latest Jason Mraz CD to my rocket, but he won't play.  I try to use a song, album, artist, play everything and nothing.  The screen looks like it is just randomly shuffling through the songs.

  Fired from rocket using Windows Media Player 11... I loaded only 2 other 'cd' so far, but no problem with those.

  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

  What format is the music that you will sit the "rocket" that will not play? Something is wrong if he jumps on what you have loaded on it.

  Since you mentioned Windows Media Player, I'll take a wild here and guess that maybe you're ripping in WMA Lossless?

  If so, it will not work. If you want to extract in the .wma format, although it's no loss only is not supported. The MP3 format is more universal in use. You can change it in WMP in Tools - Options - tab extract.
