• How can I download the software package installed on my 8900 XPS?

  Due to an error in the user totally preventable, I ended up wiping the 1 TB drive that came with my XPS 8900 that I received a couple of weeks. I would get all the auxiliary software like DVD and other things. I found the iso to restore my OS and drivers, but I see no other applications that were on the hard drive. Some of them, which I don't have, but some are quite useful. Is there another iso HD for apps?

  Finally, I was able to get my SSD to work, but that was the immediate cause of the wiping of the hd.

• I have I can not reinsttall printer drivers or uninstall the old that I can't find. Help!

  I have windows xp and a hp color laserjet 2600n. He worked for many years, but now I get an error of queue and cannot use one of the microsorf office programs. Error prevents from print or print previews. I tried to go into the printer and fax folder but cannot as it won't come back. Also, I went into Add / Remove programs and see some drivers to uninstall. I tried to install new printer drivers, but they will not install.

  Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

  AntiMailware MalwareBytes
  SUPERAntiSpyware

  Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

  Cleaning of printers

  NOTE: If after completing step has the print spooler is not always running after you launched the command "net start spooler", you will not be able to follow all the steps in "First Article".  Instead, go to the other link and download and get and use the utility 'cleanspl' such as described here.

  A. Clean on print jobs pending

  Personally, I would use the 3.7 MB "package of Plug-and-Play" rather than the 86.6 MB 'Full Software Solution.'  In general, you don't really need all packages of auxiliary software that HP bundles with its printers - but it's up to you.

  SOME of my printers (all HP) came with the utilities 'clean print heads"and other"sports. "  Nothing visible.  I don't have the auxiliary software that could go with this thing - Windows Vista found a driver that works otherwise.

  No idea what the status of the cartridge is - she has not used for some time, I'd be willing to bet, but the printer thinks it's OK, and little ink 'fees' came out when head cleaning.  (It might be blocked, of course.)

  You can use the buttons on the printer to do this:

  To print a test page with, among other things, information on the cartridge: press and hold the Power button, press Cancel 1 time and release the power button.

  To clean the cartridges: hold down the Power button, press Cancel 2 times, take 1 hour and then release the power button.

  If on the print head nozzles are clogged with a dry ink and cleaning cartridges doesn't work, you might be able to fix it like this: heat water (almost to the boiling point) and then soak part of the cartridge where the ink comes out (print head) in the water for some time, to let the fine cartridge to dry and then install again in the printer and see if it works now.

  Hello everyone, I hope that people still visit this area of the forums!

  I put highlighted and bolded the symptoms and make them easier to find.

  I recently bought a T61 6457-C15 on eBay and were in the process of setting up and customizing to my tastes. When I got the laptop, it looked as if Windows had been restored to the original state of the factory, as well as some free software, so I proceeded under this assumption. First of all, I used Windows Update to download all the updates that he could find including IE8. I wanted to have a program running on my computer before anti-virus I used a browser to access the internet. I ran IE8 and went directly to the Microsoft Security Essentials Web site and downloaded the installer. At this point, I tried to remove the Norton Internet Security pre-installed and expired using the built-in uninstall, but it failed.   Now that I have my system set up for my taste, including customization and power settings, I started to install my first program: Command & Conquer the first decade since a DVD-ROM. When I put the disc in the drive and closed, it took a few seconds for the drive to the start and once he did, he was constantly running at high speed and I could hear the drive back quickly in perpetual motion. After a few minutes menu finally appeared disk installation, so I clicked on the button install.   Please help me, my DVD/CD-RW drive is a Matshi your UJDA775, my operating system is Windows Vista Business and model number of my T61 6457-C15. I tried all the troubleshooting patches and none have worked. I tried the update drivers and using diagnostic software and they have not worked. I tried to disable drag-to-disc burning and it did not work. I have treid remove and clean the drive and that did not solve my problem. I noticed that the driver for the controller "Intel(r) ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI" is the only related driver that can be undone, so maybe that could fix. I also wonder if a firmware change caused this, and if so, if there is any way I can cancel that. The only other difficulty I have heard of that I have not tried is changing the registry, but I hesitate to do so. I have not tried to boot from the CD drive because I have no bootable CD and I'm afraid that my computer can stay stuck in this mode. I hope someone can tell me what I can do to try to solve this problem, preferably without destroying my computer. Just adding a note; I went through the stories of the Microsoft and Lenovo update and related updates only I could find were: ThinkPad BIOS update utility easy ejection, driver Intel Matrix Storager Manager for Windows (32 bit) and maybe one of the Intel chipsets Support two Vista updates. I tried to roll back the driver AHCI, but it has no effect.

  Well, my problem is solved and here's how. I had some difficulty in finding how to contact technical support from Lenovo; online options directed me to the IBM support Web site, which was clearly designed for businesses. By selecting the option "Call technical assistance" on the Lenovo Web site and then selecting my country gave me a number of hotline 24/7. After about five minutes of waiting, a young boy by the name of "Tyrese" answered (I may be misspelling his name), but the connection was so bad that we could barely hear each other.   I had the same problem with my iCloud account notes. What I did to fix it was to stop the synchronization of notes in the account settings and remove them from the phone, then went to notes, and it does not plant.
