  I have been exporting my apex application and burn a disc and import the application on my own server. I not export support items. Everything that imports fine. I can't connect to the application, but after that I have enter data and click on save or next I get an error of ora-01400, which displays as a schema.table name.column_name. I did not bring my diagram, because the objects are the same. There are names of different schemas. Can someone tell me if this is what is the cause of error, if yes, how should I do?

  Have you selected the correct analytical schema when you imported your application?

  This scheme matches that of the request of source? from table configuration, etc. ?

  Do you use triggers to generate primary keys? They are present in the new scheme?

• PL/JSON utility integration into Oracle APEX 4.0 application problem

  I want to be able to use the PL/JSON utility in my application Oracle APEX (4.0) but get several errors when I try to run the Hello World example (replace GET_VARCHAR2 by GET_STRING) of http://embosa.wordpress.com/2010/02/26/oracle-and-json-using-pljson/ in the SQL command page. I can confirm that PL/JSON works if I run the example as his own script, PL/SQL, outside Oracle APEX.

  Maybe I'm too new/familiar with APEX Oracle PL/SQL, but I guess that APEX does not have the privileges to use PL/JSON. I already gave the public privileges execute on three packages (JSON_EXT, JSON_PARSER, JSON_PRINTER) and APEX_PUBLIC_USER but the error messages does not change. What Miss me?

  Using the version above the APEX, how can I have access to bundled applications that are available for users of Application Express 4.2.4.00.08?

  Is this possible?  I'm looking for a simple tracker issue or project.  Yes, I can build, but I was curious to see if I can download and install applications on my version of the APEX.

  No, you can't. Cannot import APEX applications in a version of APEX older than what they have been exported from.

  To run 4.2 apps, you must:

  • Replace the database XE beta with the production version.
  • Upgrade the integrated version of the APEX to the last patch 4.2.

  If you want to try the latest packaged applications, get a workspace on the apex.oracle.com and install there.

  Hi Moe,

  APEX 4.2.2 is not an application packed - the application of the "Asset Manager" package was not scheduled for yet.  Although this application name packed received game slides of Marc, he has not yet been available.  Please note the slide in the sphere of security, slide 3, in this slide deck, which essentially provides that the information contained in the slide deck are not a commitment to deliver.

  All the packaged applications that are available in your case are listed under the tab "packaged Applications. During an upgrade process, any new application packaged will be added to this list.  You don't need to do all the extra steps during an upgrade.  But "Asset Manager" is not yet available, you may find it useful to examine the applications available, where you can find one that meets your requirements.

  APEX 5.0, application themes are announced to a default theme. As a result, the theme templates are locked and cannot be changed. To change the templates, unsubscribe the theme of the master.

  I tried to create Interactive report on the mobile application using apexea without success. He created the report but under report attributes I don't see report columns and it also gives me no data found error when I try to navigate off region edit and get new.

  Hi Alwyn,

  always work on apexea? The problem you describe is a bug in the version installed on this system. It has produced if the interactive report icon was not explicitly enabled in the wizard to create a Page, in this case that the IR has not been fully created.

  Please do not import any application created the apexea in the final production of APEX 5.0 or apex.oracle.com version. You will need to re - recreate them from scratch.

• Oracle apex without password field application login page

  Someone please help with this request. I want to have a login to application page where users just enter their login user id and just click the button connection; Once they connect. I have an authorisation procedure which checks against the database for their user id table and redirects to different pages based on their role as defined in the database. If its a user id invalid; the process redirects to the page that is not permitted.

  Is it possible in the apex oracle to connect to the app with just their user name. We use Oracle APEX 4.0.2 version and oracle 10g r2 database.

  Previously, we had the LDAP authentication, which was no - ssl and we do not want to use it, as this will not be the policy of the company. We have tried to establish a SSL connection and create oracle certificate using s/n, but it always takes some time.

  and simply return true without checking the password field. The author, Patrick Barel, gives an example:

  A custom authentication function can do what you want in terms of functionality, as long as it returns true if the authentication is successful or false otherwise.

  The upgade of 4.0 to 4.2 went well, existing applications work, Builder works very well. But any of the bundled applications install, each of them fail with this error. Is there some step post-upgrade to fill to make it work?
  
  In addition, it does not appear as we can select the id of the application during the installation of these applications! Our environment has a convention of sorts, application ID. Is there a way to bypass the app id?

• Importing data into Oracle Apex

  I have an obligation to provide a screen to the user where they can import excel data to an existing table and I saw a feature in the workshop of data in Oracle Apex, but I can't use that since I have extra things added into that must. The requirment is mentioned below,
  
  (1) need a screen where the user can select the excel file and start the import of a temporary table without validation
  (2) the data from the temporary table must be visible to the format of form Multi line in the screen and the user must be able to modify the data
  (3) the need for a feature or a screen mapping where the user can map the temporary table to the original table column before you pass data to the original (as data) table
  (4) the data should be transferred in the original table and the respective data should be deleted from the temporary table (in case if an error occurs, error record must appear in a temporary table up to less than the user of the corrected data into the original table)
  (5) need to add different types of validation, update the record in the original record if same id is available or insert a record value, non-zero, etc...
  
  Please suggest me how can I do this in the Apex.

  You have granted the ACL to the RMSR of your database schema, so it is necessary for the APEX_050000 scheme when you use the APEX_MAIL package.
