  Definitely. Go to the configuration/system control panel applet, under computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click on change settings. Click on continue in the UAC prompt. Click on edit on the computer name tab and follow the instructions. You will need to restart to complete the task.

  If you're actually talking about a on an account profile, know that you can change the "friendly" name but not the name of the folder in C:\Users real user.   Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  the last few weeks when I open firefox it opens with no search bar, no address bar, no bars at all. all I have is a blank white page with Mozilla Firefox in the upper left corner and on the upper right reduce it, restore them and close buttons. I can try and open many times and the same thing happens. I tried to reinstall the latest version, I tried the F11 key, the ALT key, all other keys. the only way I can use it is if by chance I get firefox to load with bars, and then I click on a link at random to open a tab and use it. It's very frustrating. I have also shut down my computer completely for about a half hour and rebooted, hoping it would help. I can't open anything to verify anything. There is no bar file/edit/view/...tools for me to change anything. There is nothing more than a blank page. I'd appreciate any help. This has never happened before, and I had not installed anything new when this started.
