Avaya PG

Hi all

I mean, we need to know if it is supported to connect an Avaya PIM using 2 boards MAPD for failover, each pim is connected (MAPD1) host1 and host2 (MAPD2). What failover in this scenario with PGs in duplex?

Thanks in advance.

You can do anyway, but the more traditional concept of deployment makes card/D #1 and PG PG a-side b-side to map/D #2. If you had two card/Ds in the scales and PGs b-side: the PG will require connection to the two all the time

It has no impact on ICM failover in traditional design as a failure of the card/D could lead to the other side of PG try to connect to the another card/D.

  • Card PCMCIA Avaya on a machine Satellite Pro 4320 - 31 to load the driver error code

The machine works perfectly in all respects. Recently attempted to add an Avaya Silver wireless card to the system.

Somehow the system has problems with the supplied driver. I have redownloaded the driver support site (now on version 7.62, the driver should support the card as a "Avaya Wireless PC Card".) I have to the latest driver available.

Given that the machine works under Windows 2000, SP4 and all available patches, and yet didn't have questions about installing a card like this on a Windows 2000 computer before, I'm a little confused as to what may cause the problem.

The card is detected properly, and the pilot is recognized. When installed the Device Manager still representing a yellow exclamation mark on the map of Avaya. When investigating this error shows that Windows 2000 cannot load the drivers on an error code 31.

I found Code 31 made reference to possible support material that gives the questions. I turned my attention to the CardBus controller (ToPIC100 according to Device Manager). The version used is Microsoft, 20/06/2003, 5.00.2195.6717.

Appearantly it is a newer driver (5.1.2600.0) but I failed to bring one downloaded. Seems that it is only available through Windows Update, which does not show the update as being available for the machine.

Then... Anyone know how to get the map Avaya Wireless Silver active PCMCIA on a Satellite Pro 4320? I need a newer driver, or can not be done at all?

  • Problems with FVS336GV2 and AVAYA 9620L VPN

    Hello

I have Avaya 9620 L is currently working and all the settings successfully with netgear FVS336gv3. My problem is, when the phone is turned off at the remote site in the afternoon and return the morning that he fails to connect via VPN. Just told IKE Phase 1 error. In my VPN log it says "cannot find the file configuration xx.xx.xx.xx. Now this configuration worked the previous day.

When I go to the netgear and change "encryption algorithm" or 'Authentication algorithm' (no matter what) that the newspaper says that it does not. I have change it back to what it was before and how you know he is running like a charm. In the course of the day, no matter how many times the phone or the netgear feeding cycle, it always connects. Only when he is off all nite, the next day, the netgear let the phone not connect unless I have change a setting and than back to his original one. If I change a setting on the Avaya netgear and it works.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the netgear blocks VPN until I have change the setting?

    Hi Moussa,.

The firmware 3.1.1 - 08 seems to be more stable than version 4.3.3 - 6 at least for my setup here. Last week I had no problems and it works every morning when powered. For now I'll stick to firmware V3.1.1-08.

  • TMS and AVAYA scopia endpoint interoperability

    Hello

I have the management console of the TMS version 13.2. It is not the latest version, but I wonder if AVAYA SCOPIA XT-4300 products are compatible for integration in the TMS. It's like the product POLYCOM HDX?

Y at - it a document on which products are supported?

    Thank you very much!

For TMS 13.2, you can take a look at the Documentation of integrated systems, specifically Product Support and documents using the feature to see what Cisco and 3 third-party products are supported.

Note, for the most recent releases TMS, you will need to look at the admin guides as well as Telepresence interoperability of data because there are no available detailed compatibility document, similar to those mentioned above, for the version beyond TMS 13.2.

  • Compatibility phone Avaya with Cisco Unified Communications Platform

    Hello

We are currently a user all-Cisco on the side of routing, switching and network security, however, we are a user all Avaya on the phone, IP phone and voice communications.  I laugh with all the problems we had with Avaya and would migrate to Cisco.  My department head wants to know is it possible to have a Cisco platform manage all unified communications and voice mail on the back end, but continue to use the Avaya phones currently in place in each office, until we can replace in the coming years through attrition?  It is essentially a measure of cost that is the main factor in management are unwilling to make any changes whatsoever because of investment is already in the existing system.

None of the Avaya endpoints are officially supported on Cisco CUCM, but if they SIP phones, they can be defined as 3rd-party SIP endpoints.  That being said you get far more features and satisfaction with phones Cisco CUCM, otherwise ask for another set of questions, and at that time there a seller will point to the other.

  • ISE 1.1.2 change of authorization with Avaya switches (5520)

    Hello

I'm ise configuration to make the assessment of posture. I saw avaya my LAN and Core switches. The idea is once the user is authenticated using 802. 1 x, then it will be moved to qurantine vlan and after that it complies with the policy of the company then it will be moved to the vlan real. I have configured the switch avaya to accept the assigned vlan and also configured RADIUS authentication dynamic 802. 1 x. Currently, RADIUS assigned qurantine vlan works but once the nac scan agent and mark the status of compatible PC then the CoA is not the case, and user is not moved to the vlan real.

I tested the same authorization of the ise policy to assign dynamically VLANS on switches cisco and it worked perfectly, but the same thing is not happening on avaya switch.

    Any idea on this?

    Kind regards

    Akhtar

    Akhtar,

Posture with ISE flows have only been tested with Cisco switches:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ISE/1.1.1/compatibility/ise_sdt.html

The RFC says that port 3799 is for CoA, but due to a conflict, we use port 1700 so that my have something to do with it. That said we don't pretend to support 3rd party switches currently.  If you do not want to see this please contact your Cisco account team to check the status of the part 3 switch support or request the feature.

  • Avaya for VCS SIP/h.323 neighbouring area

    Hello

I found the former Avaya documentation on how set up a SIP trunk between the Manager of Avaya Session for Cisco VCS, but customer has only Avaya Communication Manager (Session Manager not) and both SIP and H323 endpoints registered to it. They want to set up an area of neighbor to a Cisco VCS, that also hosts H323/SIP endpoints. I don't see a problem with VCS VCS will ensure interoperability of calls but I understand Avaya CM does not Interworking caps and that's why we seek to put in place a trunk that can handle both voice and video calls SIP/h.323 on the side Avaya.

Ideas or maybe the documents that I have done to?

    Thanks in advance

    Yes, it should work.

I would advise use you a H323 trunk, but it will help save the traversal licenses (since calls interoperability course licensing) also, I found H323 trunks in the Avaya CM to work better (I have a slight tendency that I have a similar environment and use a H323 trunk with no problems.

    Hi titebiket,

Avaya CS1000 is old nortel cs1000 systems supporting h.323/sip.

I think that you should be able to register as it supports standard protocols which, in my view, it does. Although I've never tried.

  • Dialing SIP calls SIP Trunk (Avaya SM)

Hello. I work with the telco team to send sip of our endpoints VTC voice calls to an Avaya Session Manager.

I think I have all the areas and rules of research on the side of VCS in order to transfer the call to the SM.  I am able to confirm with the team of the phone company that the call reached the SM, but they receive the error "cannot determine realm."

On the side of the VCS, I see the output below.  Is the problem on the VCS or SM side?  I need to create a trust with the SM? THX. - F

Another option is to see if you get up with 5060/udp or 5060/tcp, which could make it easier to trace. But yes, I prefer the encryption as well.

Often you have set a kind of trust for a specific connection, which could include the field src or dst, ip, port,...

    good luck ;-)
