  • Is it possible to ingest 1080 p, video AVCHD 60 p in Apple Prores 422 while keeping 1080 p?

I just finished a shoot which consisted mainly of filmed at 60 p, 1080 p.  I'm shooting AVCHD on a Panasonic GH3.  I am looking for transcode my footage in Apple ProRes 422 LT while maintaining my resolution and 1080 p 60 fps frame rate.  However, the only 60 p option I see is in 720 p.  Is there a way to keep my footage 60 p in 1080 p as Apple's Prores?

I usually shoot in 24 p without problems swallowing, then this company 60 p is alien to me.  All advice is appreciated.

    Thank you.

If you open Adobe Media Encoder and click on "RESET" then "create Preset" you can create your own custom preset ProRes. Simply choose "QuickTime", then a presets ProRes that's closest to what you want (Apple ProRes 422 (LT) - HD 1080 p 29.97 for example). Then go down to the "basic video settings" and change the pace at 59.94 or 60. This new preset will appear the next time you open prelude. I hope it works for you.

  • Convert MTS to Apple ProRes 422 HQ to compressor

    Hello

I started using Final Cut a couple of days.

I'm considering the purchase of compressor for batch-export out of Final Cut Pro X, but I was wondering if the compressor can also be used to convert the MTS to Apple ProRes 422HQ files prior to importation in FCP for editing, or is it a tool to export only?

If the encoding cannot be done with compressor, which conversion program are all the cool kids using these days?

I worked with the native MTS files to FCP. It's not as bad than I expected, believing he was close-on impossible to work with MTS removal a few years at my time of Premiere Pro. However, if I can speed up my work flow AND reduce slightly the size of the file, that would be great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

CCompressor could not be opened the .mts files.

IF you have some .mts files to test, you should try EditReady.

I don't think that you can reduce the file size more your .mts files are probably, but I guess it depends from whence they came.

  • Apple ProRes availability

Apple ProRes for PC is available on Adobe Premiere?  If so, how access you it.  I tried exporting as of the time of quick on the video tab, but it isn't here.

ProRes has never been available on PC for files creation .  The only option has been to read files, if you have installed QuickTime.

    But it's a bad idea.

  • How to edit video like apple prores 444

I have some videos made in Apple Prores 444. I can play video players, but first, she either didn't show or says "codec missing or unavailable. Can I download a codec somewhere?

    Hi again,

I solved the problem! It turns out that I could upgrade QuickTime to the latest version, once it has been installed as version 7.6 (it could not install the latest version from the beginning), and now I can edit in first! Thank you!

  • Conversion of image sequence Cineon LOG in Apple ProRes 4444 XQ in Media Encoder CS6

    Hello

I have a sequence of images Cineon LOG I want to convert to Apple ProRes 4444 XQ, but I'm not sure of the procedure.

I use Adobe Media Encoder CS6 on a Macbook Pro OS 10.11.2 2012.

Could you please tell me how to on this subject?

Also, I find that I don't have the ProRes 4444 XQ Preset codec in Media Encoder... Can I download it somewhere?

    Thank you

    Tiya

The problem is resolved. Here's how:

I bought ' Glue Tools Cineon / DPX Toolkit for Mac OS X and used it with Apple Compressor 4 on my Macbook Pro (2012) running El Capitan.

I was able to convert Log Cineon sequences of images in ProRes 4444 XQ QuickTime movies.

    Some things to note:

    • After downloading the Toolkit, you must activate it from the system preferences panel and make sure that you select the correct Conversion settings in the Cineon / DPX icon (bottom of the system preferences panel).
    • Glue Tools also have a trial / demo for you to try Mode.
    • Currently, glue tools Cineon/DPX Toolkit (4.1.2936) supports only compressor 4, but can add features for the Media Encoder and other tools in the future.
    • Use "Import a file" compressor 4 and select the first file of the Cineon or DPX image sequence when you try to get the glue tools to read them. Do not use 'Import Image Sequence'.
    • Once you have written the ProRes 4444 XQ, you may still need to correct color, but Glue Tools has excellent support.

  • Exports of FCP in Apple Prores not supported in Premier Pro?

I did a bunch of FCP7 export as Quicktime/Apple ProRes and most of them, not all, is not supported? Any advice?

    All,

I thought about it! It has been EXPORTED the way I have BATCH files.

I add an extension 'custom' in my export FCP 7 batch, that replaced the ".mov", so even if files opens in Quicktime and final cut PRO, first recognizes only a certain set of extensions, despite the type of file. "

  • Apple Prores sequence settings Question

    Hello-

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I recently made the jump FCX first cc and I'm running on a question.

I don't have an option when you create a new sequence for Apple Prores 444 HQ.  Is it possible that I can add this format so that it is an option?

If not, is there a recommended, then best thing should I choose?  Here are the options I have:

    Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 1.10.45 PM.png

Select an item in the project bin and drag it over the icon of a new element, which is right next to the Trash CAN. He will choose a sequence for you to match the clip. Didn't need to be named 'ProRes' specifically; Instead, what you are looking for, is the sequence settings to match images, such as 1920 x 1080, progressive, 29.97, aspect 1.0 pixels. Or whatever the case may be.

    Thank you

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC: Is that I can export to Apple ProRes 422 on a Mac?

    Hi people,

I tried to find some information about it, but couldn't really find a definitive answer on this.

Unfortunately, my Mac is set where we are talking, I can't try this either...

I want to convert the mxf files (XDCAM HD 422 1080i 50, 50 Mbit/s with multiple Audio channels) to Apple ProRes 422 using Adobe Media Encoder CC.

Simple question: is that possible or I need to look for another workflow/converter?

    Thanks for your help!

    Jens

    PS: The OS is Mavericks...

    Sure.

Use the QuickTime exporter, and then choose the ProRes422 Codec in its drop-down list.

  • Download Apple ProRes 422 Presets first

If anyone knows anything about downloading presets Apple ProRes 422 first, so you can actually use them in a project as a parameter of sequence?

    I can download them here: http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5411 & starts = 5030

But I don't know how to actually get in first?

The files that you downloaded is pertinent to CS6. If you are using an older version of CS6 of Adobe Media Encoder then:

    1. download and unpack desired predefined packages

    2. start SOUL

    3. in Panel Preset browser, click on the button import Presets and select desired presets (excerpts)

  • Apple ProRes for CS5

Hi, l have the CS5 Production Premium edition which l bought at the price of the student, but never found really has it Apple ProRes export codec. Ive searched the forums, but have not come to any concludes part saying that l have to download and install FCP l really don't want to do it just for the codec. I even did a clean install and nothing. Don't know what to do anymore.

Reason for the codec is for United assisgnments as im a film student.

ProRes does not come with any version of Premiere Pro.  You will need to install a host application, such as FCP, which makes this codec available for the system.

  • Where is apple prores 422?

    Hi all

    I need your help please.

I bought a new macbook pro and installed Speedgrade. However, in the output module I can't find the option to export the calendar to Apple Prores flavors.

Don't know if it's relevant, but I installed SG first, while Final Cut Pro X. should I did it the other way around?

The problem is that I'm in the middle of the ranking of a project of 10 min and I just realized that I don't have these codecs for delivery to the customer.

Worst case is that I'll pass the SG in my old Mac Pro and export from there (where everything works well), but I'd rather finish my work on the laptop.

    Thank you

    Diego

Download the codecs Proapp lasted Apple, update or reinstall, and then try again.

You have Quicktime 7 Pro or X version only in Mountain Lion?

  • Mounting Apple ProRes Footage in CS5.5

I got some pictures of another customer who was shot with JVC's HD camera - using the XDcam codec - but they no one converted the video to Apple ProRes 422.  I have these clips on an external hard drive.  What is the best way to import these files into first and edit with them?

    Apple QuickTime ProRess 422 LT 1920 x 1080 29.97 FPS.

It seems the XCCam HD422 1080 p 30 a similar video settings - it would be the best way to bring it?

As long as you have installed QuickTime, simply import the files - Premiere Pro will be no problem with them.

Strictly speaking, you can edit your videos in any predefined sequence that has the same general parameters like images without problem; in fact, you can edit your images in any order, but suppose you want to match at least of things like the size of the image and the pace. You can use one of the existing presets (like XDCAM preset), you can create a custom preset (click the settings tab in the dialog box new sequence and set the "Custom" Editing Mode), or you can simply drag your film to the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel. This will create a sequence that corresponds to your images.

    Like this:

On a side note, if you can get the original film, Premiere Pro will handle natively - is not serious if he was MP4 or MOV, Pr will be important and works perfectly fine with both.

  • Apple ProRes workflow in first pro?

Final Cut Pro X must be the most beautiful thing that ever happened to Adobe Premiere!  People throughout the community pro flee apple, and I'm one of them!

But it raises a lot of questions about a new workflow with premiere pro.

We edit and output, all of our material in Apple ProRes, but how does first?

When I import images ProRes, I can't match sequence settings as I would in FCP?

Do I have to re - encode all my images? (That would be a huge problem for us!)

    And then export to ProRes?

    THX!

    Rasmus Pilgaard

By the way: I guess that under the name of your video in the screenshot you posted (MVI_ #) you work with pictures that was originally shot with a Canon DSLR and then converted to ProRes. As a point of interest you would like to know that you can work with excerpts from the DSLR in Premiere Pro, without the need to transcode. In fact, you will get probably the BEST performance to not do (in the future), since DSLR clips are managed by importers of 64-bit-first born; convert ProRes clips requires the use of QuickTime to decode, which is 32-bit, even on the Mac.

Be sure to try this out - I think that you will like it!
