AVG firewall

Hello everyone, how to disable firewall AVG or delete? I uninstalled it from the Control Panel, but in the Security Center, it is still ongoing, I don't do the windows firewall by default? I have SP3, I used AVG uninstaller, it did not work, as it was AVG 2010, I used revo it does not either, I manually deleted all the files I can find associated with AVG, but still no luck, I can't believe how it is difficult to untangle.

just everyone that it's settled, I asked the support on Facebook AVG tab and it is the answer

We inform you that the AVG firewall is part of the AVG (not a stand-alone application) program so it can not be installed if AVG is not. However, it is possible that Windows Security Center still detects as installed AVG Firewall. Please run the AVG DelRep utility to clear the Windows directory and restart your computer.

It worked like a charm, it didn't recognize the basics of Microsoft security as my antivirus either, so I stopped and he did it again in the Task Manager and now it's fine.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate. I recently installed a genuine copy of AVG internet security 2011, it of OK for the first days, but after a few days, has been disabled firewall AVG & windows firewall is enabled. I tried to move the AVG firewall, but could not succeed. Can someone help me? There could be a problem of setting. Tried a lot, but was of no use.

  • HP Photosmart Plus + firewall AVG v.9.0

I have a HP Photosmart Plus printer, connected through a Netgear router and a Windows Vista-based computer.

Without the firewall or Windows Firewall is enabled, the printer works correctly wirelessly.

But when I use the AVG firewall, it service is blocked and not able to connect to the printer using the HP Solution Center etc. It is not possible to print also.

I checked the manual of HP to add certain services and ports in the firewall, but it makes no sense

Always in my AVG firewall, the SVCHost.exe won't port 427.

I hope someone can help me in detail how to set up the printer to make it work with AVG

    Clear steps are appreciated

    AVG version 9.0.733

The HP printer IP address: x.x.x.5

IP address of the computer: x.x.x.17

    The router address: XXX1

AVG firewall profile: direct connection with Internet

    Game mode is disable

I can't wait to see your response

If it is a computer which is always your home using the Netgear router, you don't need a firewall.  Your Netgear router has a built-in hardware firewall.  If it is a notebook that is often not connected to the Netgear, it is another story.

  • I ran avg today. Firefox no longer works. I tried your solution via avg interface did not work I have avg 2012. The applications seem different. I need someone to wal

I ran avg 2012. Now that Firefox is not running. Checked through support got a current download at AVG firewall and trying to remove then add then click on... He says then go to the firefox installation directory (where is that) go to the Mozilla Firefox Firefox\ program and select firefox.exe. etc. That's where I stopped.
Firewall says firefox authorized. Being a nullgeek I stopped because I don't want to cause more damage. I also tried to download the latest version of Firefox and that nothing resolved.
I am currently using Internet Explorer.
I need to walk through it.

One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    See:

Try a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a new copy of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you will also lose your personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

  • Error my firewall setting prevents my printer communicates so I can't print. Someone at - he ever heard of this before? Thank you very much.

I get the error that my firewall setting prevents my printer to communicate so I can't print.  Someone at - he ever heard of this before?  Thank you very much.

    Hi TreetisEbben,

I had this problem before, but only when you are using the AVG firewall. Usually, you can go to your factory of the printer to see how to unblock specific ports for firewall. Also, to see if this is the problem, temporarily disable your firewall and then try to print. But don't forget to turn it back on once you're done. I hope this helps!

  • Hi I have avg 2011 free add. Some components are on but the antivirus and a bit more does not illuminate. I click on update, this is the error I clicked fix says it all, but also failure update?

I, m Bob a ball came saying that the firewall is disabled, I went in ave and tutned it then I am I at risk because the antvirous is disabled and I did everything I could do to try to turn it on but can't find anywhere that it says to turn under. all this happened when I turned on wall of fire and all the fix get faild. ???

    Hello Bobtopper,

What is the error message when you try to market the AVG antivirus?
You turn on the AVG firewall or Windows Firewall?

If you are having problems with AVG antivirus and you want to uninstall, you can download the Microsoft Security Essentials, which is downloadable for free. Security Essentials provides anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, etc..
You can activate the automatic updates if you do not have to worry about updating the software.
Click here for a link to download Microsoft Security Essentials.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security_essentials/

It is not recommended to have more than one antivirus installed because it could cause conflicts in the operating system. If you decide to use Microsoft Security Essentials, you will need to uninstall AVG Antivirus and remove all previous AntiVirus software before installing Security Essentials.

Please reply back and let us know if we can help you further.

    Thank you

  • "Due to a problem not identified, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings" when you try to change the Windows Firewall settings.

    Original title: WINDOWS firewall

I GET A MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE THE WINDOWS FIREWALL SETTINGS - "DUE TO A PROBLEM NOT IDENTIFIED, WINDOWS CANNOT DISPLAY WINDOWS FIREWALL SETTINGS. HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

IN ADDITION, I USE AVG INTERNET SECURITY 2013 AND THAT THE FIREWALL IS ENABLED AND I SEEM TO BE PROTECTED.

Documentation AVG Internet Security 2013 States:

    Recommendation:

Generally it is not recommended to use more than one firewall on a single computer. Computer security is not enhanced if you install several firewalls. It is more likely that some conflicts between these two applications will occur. Therefore, we recommend that you use only one firewall on your computer and disable all others, thus eliminating the risk of potential conflicts and problems related to this.

You can read the AVG documentation by clicking on this link, and see section 6.5:

    http://AA-download.Avg.com/filedir/doc/AVG_Internet_Security/avg_isc_uma_en_2013_06.PDF

So, if you are using AVG firewall, it's wise to just disable the XP firewall for more than a firewall running at the same time can lead to performance problems.  Choose one or the other, but not both.

I thought installing AVG would understand this by itself, and you know what to do (used to) but I do not want to install AVG to see.
