AVI-> DVD = Audio slow

Customer gave me 2 reviews the DVD making of.

A burning end.

The other, if directly by dragging the AVI in again, or by making a MPEG2 in the SOUL, the DVD-video is fine, but audio plays verrrrry slow.

What is the problem? Thanks in advance.

I recommend the method of conversion, and that should take care of the issue of the Audio.

I'm surprised that the Xvid imported at all. When they do, we get usually just Audio (most common), video, Audio, or just completely OOS (Out Of Sync).

As John T., Xvid and DivX (commercial equivalent) are delivery only the formats/CODECS and are highly compressed. The conversion will do nothing to restore the lost quality, but should help you create.

Now, the latest Xvid seems to use the H.264 CODEC for video, and I think you're on a Mac, you can convert MOV or MP4 files. On the PC, I use an earlier conversion shareware program, but know that Apple QT Pro can do some conversions too. I don't know if it can access with Xvid/DivX, on a Mac or a PC. There are probably tons of good conversion for Mac programs, but as I'm a PC guy only, do not.

Good luck

  • Free DVD Audio Ripper will

I'm trying to find a free DVD audio ripper which rip song streaming through two chapters and put in a single file. I have 2 that were NOT free and they don't rip the whole chapters in separate files or point to point in a chapter. If the song extends over two chapters that the song is divided in two files, but I want a continuous song. Anyone know a ripper that does this? Example is if a song starts in a chapter and ends in next and then I get part of the piece in a file and one part in another, which is not acceptable.

WELL, found what I was looking for, now that I've learned what to look for. Software search free audio joiner. Found free MP3 Joiner at www.freeaudiovideosoft.com , click on Audio and download page. A free 9,62 MB .exe files. Can extract 2 chapters of DVD with DVD Audio Extractor, Wave Editor allows to split, Joiner allows joining, Audio converter to convert, MP3 MP3 Tag Tag to the tag for the video, and then copy songfile artist folder in the MUSIC folder of the clip. Carpenter works with MP3, Wma and Wav files. Easy to use. Add file in want to order them however joined. First, he joined then last part was the first. Addition of file 1 and file 2 resolved that. This is the first time I ran into a song, that I wanted that begins with a chapter and ends the next day. I have Windows XP Home Edition and do not know if it also works with Mac.

  • Is it possible to burn a DVD-Audio 5.1 surround with yet?

I imported a video clip of first with a 5.1 audio track, but when I burned a DVD what I received was a stereo track 2. Is there a setting I'm missing to give me a DVD-Audio 5.1 surround?

You must code the band its Dolby Digital ac3 5.1, this can be done either using the Surcode plugin for creating or using Adobe Audition (I've never used hearing) Surcode encoder is included in the first, but you must purchase a license fee to use it.

  • . Treated AVI as Audio in Movie Maker and corrupt in Windows DVD Maker.

I have a lot of. AVI files I want to burn to a DVD.  I do not have another series of. Notice to try with these programs to see if it's just them.

Windows Movie Maker treats as Audio files, I tried to disable compatibility filters.  I tried this on two computers to Vista.

    Creating Windows DVD said me:

    0 files were added successfully.

File (s) X could not be added.

    The files

    [Name of file]

is not valid or is corrupted.

I tried this on two computers to Vista.

I tried to convert the files with "Any Video Converter", but there is a substantial loss of the quality of .wmv and mpeg conversion.

I tried "of Aimersoft DVD Creator' trial, but video lags behind audio when I play the video in this program.  The videos show very well "Media Player Classic Home Cinema".

How can I fix these files. AVI or convince Movie Maker and DVD Maker to care for them properly?

    Thank you j of volunteering.

I used Freemake for one of the .avi files convert an .avi file. This increased the size of the file by more than 300% no change in quality.  Windows Live Movie Maker considers the new .avi properly, but not creating Windows DVD or Windows Movie Maker, they still refuse to import or use it as audio, respectively.

I have converted the new .avi to .wmv with Freemake file and it seems that the quality is actually improved from the original. Windows DVD Maker will accept this new .wmv.

I'll convert others, burn and return with the results for the benefit of anyone else who has this problem.

Convert .avi .avi files then .wmv and burn with Windows DVD Maker have exceptional results.  As seen on TV quality is slightly better than the quality of the original .avi files on the computer.  Don't know what attribute this too, but I'm pretty happy.
Sorry for the late reply, but it took time to convert, convert, burn and test.

Thank you very much for the help.

  • Imported AVI files have Audio slow

Hello! For some reason any, whenever I try to import a video AVI (with Xvid codec) and add it to my project, the audio file becomes extremely slow-like, 700 to 800 times slow. The audio is always cut at the same point in the video, in order to expedite the return gives me only a small part of the audio at the right speed. It is not a problem with the videos themselves, because they play normally in all other programs I've tried. This happens regularly with each AVI video I try. I have already installed the Xvid codec. I also tried all the troubleshooting techniques for video playback problems offered by Adobe. The audio is also the codec MPEG-1 L2.

I'm under first Elements 10 on Windows 7.

The codec xVid (as the Divx codec) is a delivery codec, not an editing codec. Attempt to modify xVid will lead to nothing but evil.

Best advice is to convert the file to MP4 with a steady cadence with the brake hand.

  • Carpet * UJ - 831S DVD-ROM slows down by Satellite M40X 118

the secondary IDE channel is in PIO mode, is this normal (shouldn't too much would it in DMA mode?) and can it be the source of the problem?

When dvd - rom does not work only the computer is slower but usb transfers becomes almost impossible... bytes per minute

On my laptop (primary and secondary) IDE channels is on DMA if available.
It s an auto setting. But I can choose between PIO only and DMA if available.
I guess you should be able to change also.

  • WMP/WMC is unable to play DVD audio

I had a problem for a lot of time with Windows Media Player/Windows Media Center PERSON DO seems able to diagnose or difficult. WMP all my audio files, CDs and the sound system plays very well. However, whenever I try to play a DVD, the video game played very well but there is no audio data. Then, I lose all the sounds until I restart. I downloaded a freeware program that allows me to see the video and hear the sound of DVDs very well as well as the material works very well. The problem is with WMP/WMC.  I tried to reload/upgrade to update WMP, but that did not work. I can be lack of Codecs, but I have no idea of who or how to download the forms.  The problem is probably with WMP/WMC, but no support, my manufacturer of computers or Microsoft seems to be able to solve the problem. I think I'll use VLC Media Player as my default DVD player.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

You need Codec - get these if 32 bit Vista.

CCCP - free - also get free of insurgents tool
    http://CCCP-project.NET/

    FFDSHOW - free
    http://sourceforge.NET/projects/ffdshow/

    Check here:

    Plug-ins for Windows Media Player
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx

    ---------------------------------------

VLC needs, of no use so usually Codec as a backup when asked to support associations of files just say no.

    VLC - free
    http://www.videolan.org/VLC/

    -------------------------------------------------------------

If 64 bits and you need codec.

Read this 1st and go that route, or use the one below.

    http://www.Vistax64.com/sound-audio/152850-Vista-codec-pack-32bit-64bit-Media-Player-codecs.html

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

If 64-bit Vista - can run WMP in 32 or 64 bit mode.

Or try these: download - SAVE - go to the place where your put them RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN.

For 32-bit use them - OR those listed above that I prefer.

    K - Lite Codec Pack 5.0.5 & K-Lite Codec Pack 5.0.5 update
    http://www.codecguide.com/

    Use them for 64-bit:

    K - Lite Codec Pack (64-bit) 2.6.0
    http://www.codecguide.com/

    -------------------------------------------------------------
You know that you use WMP 32 or 64

    -------------------------------------------------------------

And you can use it when necessary because no codex is usually required.

  • DVD-Audio sound rattling instead of audio - HP Pavilion dv8305us - Windows 7

    HP Pavilion dv8305us

512 MB of memory (will get upgraded if we can solve the audio problem)

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (original installation was Windows XP Media Center)

The laptop had some problems with viruses, corrupt files of previous attempts at cleaning. Since nothing of value has been installed or on the hard drive I just reinstalled a complete Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. It was not an upgrade, and it's a clean copy of Windows 7.

Everything works, except for two features. When I play a DVD the sound he does is more like a rattle hard then anything else. I know it's the audio because I can cut the noise. We tried several different DVD, and they all have the same problem. The second feature that does not work is the 'Quick launch' button, because they both work on the DVD I don't know if they're related. Probably not, since the 'quick launch' seems to be just a fantasy with some instructions .bat file.

When I play the sample audio files on the computer, they play correctly. They are in Windows Media Audio format.

I tried several different version of the driver Conexant AC-Link Audio. I tried the drivers from HP.com and tried the drivers from other pilot sites. Whenever I tried a different driver, I uninstalled the old driver. No change in the results.

I am currently using Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver 6.14.10.297 A, I got on the site hp.com under Windows Vista downloads.

    Thank you

    Hello again.

Now that the computer has enough RAM to support Windows 7 correctly, you can try some related software solutions.

What program do you play DVDs? I guess that's probably Windows Media Player. Have you tried to use a different application to see if the problem exists in both? I suggest to see if the problem exists also in VLC Media Player.

    Also, try the following.

    1. Go to control panel, and then select "sound".
    2. Select your playback device, then select "Properties".
    3. Go to the "Advanced" tab
    4. Uncheck the box "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
    5. Save these changes, restart and after the result.

Let me know the result; I'll keep an eye for more answers.
