Avoid the transfer of picture of peripheral iCloud

I have 2 iPhones connected to the same iCloud account. How can I avoid that the photos are synchronized between phones, but still allow backup on iCloud?

Disable "iCloud library" & "Upload to my photo stream" on one of the phones.

How can I avoid pictures opens automatically?

    Thank you!

Photos doesn't have an option to disable the launch of all devices.

When the Import Photos Panel opens, you should see a check mark in the toolbar 'Open pictures for the device'.   Clear this check box and Photos should not open again for this device (until you reformat the card).

The automatic launch can be disabled for each camera separately.

You can try this fix: this Terminal command allows to disable auto-start for any photo application, not just Photos.

    • Photos of quit smoking and unplug any camera.
    • Open a Terminal and paste this command and press return:

  • Transfer of pictures in the same resolution

I have a ton of pictures of vacation that I just edited (first photos most 25 MB).  When I go to transfer them on a disc that they cross KB far the resolution that they are on my computer.  I considered the export, but when I do that, I lose the dates (very important).

I refuse to believe that Apple has messed up pictures so bad that there is no way to transfer these pictures in their format edited with dates.  Can someone tell me please how to fix this?  Thanks in advance.

Resolution has nothing to do with the size of the file: it is determined by the pixel dimensions and does not change unless you crop a photo or export with the dimensions of the pixels below

File size is determined mainly by the JPEG compression that you control completely using the quality options - if you want an image uncompressed export to TIFF uncompressed format (and also the very big because of that)

As for dates there are not affected by Photos - they are in the /IPTC within the photo EXIF data and stay unchanged when you export the picture - even once you seem to be confusing attributes Photos with file attributes - two totally different and usually unrelated sets of data

  • Well when I transfer my videio and/or photos from my camera sd card, when the transfer images will open in Windows Live Photo Gallery with pictures showing as a large icon.

Well when I transfer my videio and/or photos from my camera sd card, when the transfer images will open in Windows Live Photo Gallery with pictures showing as a large icon. My photos are stored on my HP-Pavilion(E:).) drive

But after that when I click on the drive C: E: MyPictures they open as a flower tile. I can go to the top, then click on view and then large icon and they will change to display an icon of the photo. But the next time I go in this same folder they showup new slot-shaped sticker flower. I can go through the same process and click the show the big icon and they will change to a large icon image.

It was that all of my photos, at all times, remained as a large icon all the time. Something has changed this feature.

Now I can go to the libraries, photos, My Pictures(E:) et cliquez sur n'importe quel dossier et le dossier s'ouvre avec les images dans ce dossier, montrant une image de grande icône.)

Something has changed at the sight of my photos in the folder that contains photos. I can't stay on display large icons.

  • Pictures are erased icloud when I reset the iPhone? Want to give MOM the old clear iPhone of my stuff

I want to give to my mother one of my old iPhones and supported everything to iCloud. When I reset the phone to give him, photos disappears from the Cloud? I don't have a MAC, will it save the photos on my PC first? TIA

If you're talking about a regular backup iCloud, I strongly recommend that your also import your photos to your PC before you wipe the phone:

    IMPORTING PHOTOS - WINDOWS/MAC

The backup is related to your iCloud ID, not your device, it will be perfectly safe. It is simply not a good idea to rely on a backup for archiving your photos. If the backup has been altered, for example, and could not be used to restore another device?

Once you have backed up the device to iCloud and also imported your photos, and then follow the instructions in this link before giving the phone to your mother:

Prepare your device for sale or to give

    Good luck!

  • Transfer of pictures to all my devices

Apple said to iCloud photo library - Apple Support:

    "

After taking a photo in one of my Apple devices...

Is downloading pictures to all my other devices Apple ONLY after opening Photos App?

Or there is an automatic background activity for download without photos?

(All with the same Apple ID)

    Thank you

You're right, that that is, it is transferred when connected to WiFi in order to avoid the use of data high, say that, if it was not connected to WiFi.

    Rony-z wrote:

There is no "open the Photos App".  When connected to WiFi, it fills all your other devices as providing 'transfer to my photo stream' is enabled on the device.

  • Avoid the termination email. Is it really of Apple?

    Hello

I received an email allegedly from Apple with say avoid the subject termination my icloud account because I do not, that is not true. Really is the email from apple?

    Thank you

    Onezerone

This is a phishing attempt. Grammar and misspellings are indications that it's not Apple. And it is not addressed specifically to you. An email from Apple would be specifically addressed to you. Do not click on anything and if you do, do not provide them with any information. Delete the e-mail.

  • move the external drive photo library to iCloud

    Hello

I just bought the option 1 TB, for my 300 GB library. With my MBP, I use an external hard drive, but I won't use it... So I sent the 300 GB, but if I start the Photo, there's still the library on disk external HARD... is not possible to use iCloud as the main library?

    Thank you very much.

    Fred of France

iCloud library is essentially a synchronization services to keep your library in iCloud as centralized storage and reference to synchronize all volumes.  If you change a photo to one of your libraries on one of your devices, the changes will be updated in iCloud and synchronize all of your devices that are synchronizing with iCloud photo library. All libraries on all synchronized devices will always display the same pictures, montages, albums, metadata.

So you will need a library t sync with your Mac.  To save storage, you can use the "Optimize Mac storage" option in the preferences to iCloud. Then the image original high-resolution fies will be stored only in icloud and your Mac will replace them with smaller and optimized, versions if the storage is not enough for the version high resolution.

  • Add photos to shared folders, stuck to the status of 'Préparation' in iCloud, photo sharing

    Dear community,

I encounter this problem on my iPhone 6 (64 GB). Especially when I selected pictures and videos.

When adding Shared Pictures folders in iCloud how is the transformation that is happening? I was wondering if my original photos are stored in the clouds and I add to a folder shared, the command is recommended to use the side Server - I mean copy photos in a shared folder in the cloud, rather than download to my local storage of phone because it stores only the optimized versions of the originals.

So if this whole process happening this way, then how is it is stuck in my local device? : S

Could you please give me some clarification on this?

    Thank you in advance,

    István

Please ensure that you have a backup of your current library. Launch Photos while keeping the Option + command keys. Select this option to repair your library database.

If this does not resolve the problem, the problem could have been moved from your iPhoto library. In this case save, then fix the (same method) iPhoto library and perform a new migration into Photos.

If you need choose the right library when launch, hold down the Option key.

  • I don't want to ruin either involved in the transfer of ID Apple account for ITunes

How do you get the other songs of a different iCloud who served before you made a new iCloud account to use as the master account without blocking the transfer of 90 days? What are the disadvantages if transferred accounts?

There is no way to 'Transfer' or merge Apple ID.  Everything you have downloaded with a given ID is for always related to THIS specific ID.  Your only recourse if you want everything on 1 account specific, is to re-download that - if it were a purchase, you must buy it again.  If it was free (and still available), without issue.

  • Can I transfer all of my contacts, iCloud to another account?

We don't have a large desk where everything is, just our iPhones with all the stuff on this subject, if all that matters. Is it possible to do? If so, you please fill me? Thank you very much.

    Hello

All you need to do is disconnect from the family iCloud account: settings > iCloud > scroll down, Sign Out. When you disconnect, you will get several warning messages telling you what content iCloud will be deleted from your device (Photos, calendar). But when you get attention Contacts, you will have the option to 'keep on this phone. Select this option. Then connect to your iCloud account, and you will see a message asking you if you want to "Merge" your Contacts to iCloud - click on merge.

    See you soon,.

  • After the transfer of the library to new Mac, all the songs are duplicated

I got a new iMac and launched iTunes and signed on my Apple account, where all my music presented themselves as available in iCloud.

I then transferred the iTunes library to the iMac for my old Mac laptop.  Now each song appears twice, once with the cloud, indicating that it is not on my computer but in the cloud and the cloud is dashed outline, indicating that the path on my computer is awaiting transfer to the cloud.

I don't know if it's just another bug of iTunes/iCloud or if I messed up the transfer.

    Any suggestions?  Thank you!

  • What is the path hidden pictures on a macbook pro?

What is the path hidden pictures on a macbook pro?  I want to look at the structure of files and compare the list of photos to remove duplicates.

    / Users/Myusername/images/Photos\ Library\ 2. photoslibrary?

    ~/Library/?

    Thanks for any help.

If you try to delete the duplicates by deleting files directly in the package of the photo library you will damage the photo library.

Photography shops photos within a structure of database and the objects are distributed everywhere. There is no way tor record delete a single picture using the Finder.

The photo library is a set, a folder with subfolders and data bases. For a single photo that you import pictures will store the original image file in a subfolder 'Masters' (~/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary/Masters/) or in iCloud, according to your settings.  It will create an additional stamp file, files with faces found thumbnails and previews in the folder found, to share with other applications in the media browser.  Always use Photos interface to remove the photos or the library will become inconsistent.

You can look inside the set of files grouped by ctrl-clicking on the library and using the command 'Show Package Contents': but make sure you do not move the files.

To remove duplicates consider using a double Finder program:

These applications are compatible with Photos and safe to use:

If you have duplicates of a different pixel size in your library as well, then consider Photo Sweeper. We can compare the histograms or bitmaps from photos, so you can detect duplicates as well edited.  In addition, you can set up rules assigned to photos to keep and which to dispose, for example to give preference to more recent photos, photos with the largest size of pixel or photos with metadata.

PowerPhotos is a great tool to have, when you work in Photos for navigation of several libraries of Photos at once and to see the photos annotated with metadata. It can move photos between libraries and help you merge libraries. But the duplicate detection is not as versatile as in Photo Sweeper. It can detect mainly exact replica.

I don't know much Duplicate Annihilator, so I can't say how it will compare to the other two.

  • Computer hangs during the transfer of 16 jpeg files.

Recently, I replaced my Toshiba Satellite M40 PATA hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP SP3.  Subsequently, I find transfer more than 16 jpeg files (approx. 1 MB each) at the same time causes the computer freezes.  I have to shut down the computer and restart and sometimes the computer is 'always' Hung/frozen after restarting Windows (mouse move no keys, ctrl + alt + delete work does produce no action) which necessitated my stop down and restart the computer again.

This problem occurs during various methods of transfer-to transfer pictures from my card SD using the scanner and camera or Nikon transfer software, trying to copy and paste pictures from the SD in an empty folder, and the problem occurs even when I try to spend more than 16 images from a folder in another.  I tried to transfer images from a folder with the computer in safe mode and the problem occurs when I try to transfer a little more than 16 images at once.  (my SD card, has about 60 images on that.)  There is no error message or any other message - the computer simply crashes.

I did not have this problem before reinstalling XP.  There seems to be no limit to the size of the transfer that I could perform. I can't wait to find out how I can remedy this problem.  I am familiar with writing code, check the registry, etc, but I'm good enough following the simple procedures.  Thank you for your help.

Original title: file transfer causes XP to hang, no error message

    Hi RobertMorouney,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

In addition, how are you doing today?

You have a problem with the computer hung on the transfer of files on Windows XP. This can be very frustrating for you, and I appreciate the efforts you have put in. Let us work together as a team and try to get this fixed number.

    Method 1-

    Step 1-

Trying to transfer files in Mode without failure.

    Check out the link-

To start the computer in safe mode

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true

Note: Make sure that you get the computer back to Normal Mode after performing all the troubleshooting steps.

Proceed to step 2, if the problem does not occur in Mode without failure.

    Step 2-

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Placing the computer in a boot minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must perform the steps in the article-

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: Make sure that get you the computer to a Normal startup after performing all the troubleshooting steps.

    Method 2-

I wish that you run a Chkdsk command on the computer.

    Check out the link-

How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315265#Method1

Note: The Chkdsk command will try to fix bad sectors on the hard drive. All the data on these sectors may be lost. The computer could go to a State no boot as well. Proceed at your own risk.

We know if you need help. We will be happy to help you. We, at tender Microsoft to excellence.
