  • Could have been hacked.  Guy got in the Terminal

Hello.  Dear old dad, 81, called what he had thought was Netflix... it wasn't.  My gut tells me that this is a fraudulent site.  CreticWorld.com

The deal was this: the 'helper' find stuff very bad on the site of my father and offered to fix it for $400.  I imagine that they are preparing to ask on his credit card to pay for it.

The "helper" had my father to connect through a kind of thing LOGMEIN.

    There send my father.

I don't THINK that there ID apple of my father or master password for the computer.

I ran Malwarebites Anti Malware app... He found nothing.

There is no "updates" in the app store.

    10.10.5 MacbookPro system

I will paste the report between the terminals below.  In the end, he has a few scary phrases like

    • Email compromised

    • Worm found

    • compromised network

    But... There's a funky spelling.

    1. advice?  I am panic that my dad's computer is hacked, and they will get its passwords, bank accounts, credit cards, etc.

    2. what would you do?

    3. grateful for any advice.

Pasted below is the Terminal Server session.  I don't know if it's true, if it is stuck in the terminal of dad to freak him out?  You can if the Terminal Server Session is real?  What this means?  No idea if it is valid and hope a pro Terminal would give him a glance.

  • Looking for a way to kill the "Zombie" emails that can not be deleted

For the second time in three months, I received an email from spam that cannot be deleted. It was emptied in the spam with SpamSieve, but once there, it cannot be deleted. The e-mail account is a POP acct and mail is downloaded from the server, so in theory should not reappear here.

The email address is bogus, no one that I know of. The e-mail message contains no content, but it says there is an attachment via the paperclip icon. Open it, however, and there is nothing there (even though I knew it was zombie mail when it happened, as it's the second time it happens, the first missing itself after about a month, so he seems to have a predefined expiration date; what he does in the meantime, I don't know).

I tried trashing it anyway, I know how. The answer is always that said piece of mail can not be deleted because there is no such thing as commitment. I've renamed even manually a .emix file in Mail to match. No SOAP.

And now have gone to the library to the user, trashed the plist and which seem to be linked to this folder. The file seems to disappear, so I quit Mail. The next time I open the fake email returned by mail. And as the screenshot shows, one became two, although there is a list.

I have rebuilt the mailboxes. The only thing I did is try to kill the thing through the Terminal (if such a thing is even possible).

Given similar reports seem to turn up here (cannot move or delete messages of mail electronics defective.) for example, I must conclude that there is a kind of dreadfully boring invasive file which is done through the firewall and anti-spam filters, and for the life of me at this point, if I could find the sender , I bloody shoot the * myself.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    -gf

Try right click on the junk mail folder, then choose delete junk e-mail messages.

You said you tried to rebuild the mailbox. Have you tried to reindex messages?

Exit the Mail. Navigate to your user library this path:

    ~/Library/Mail/v3/MailData/

Move all the files starting with envelope Index or ExternalUpdates in the trash, but don't drain.

Open Mail and let reindex all messages.

If you tried and it doesn't work, go to this:

    ~/Library/containers/com. Apple.mail

Exit the Mail. Move the folder integer com.apple.mail to the trash. Open Mail and test. You have to re-create your user settings.

  • Why I unexpectedly have the terminal icon in my dock?

    Hello!

I don't think that I have consulted my terminal, and yet, I just noticed in my dock.  When I clicked it, I received this message:

    margretcollins - bash - 80 x 24

Last login: Tuesday March 15 10:33:42 on ttys000

    Margrets-MacBook-Air: ~ margretcollins$

Thus, the name is mine and I think that my mac is called 'margrets-macbook-air '.  Don't know how to check this.

I tried to view the contents of a CD of medical imaging that is formatted in CDSView (which is only for PCs).  When you are prompted to search for an application to open, I research and went to the app store where I read on an application, but does not download it.

I know that ttys000 refers to the first selected Terminal. However, I don't know exactly what a terminal is or how it relates to my mac.

Other that that, I did not something extraordinary: just read email, some articles online, looked at my calendar, looked at Fitbit data of sleep and that's it.

Nobody knows what causes the terminal pop icon in your dock another intentionally research on the terminal and access? Anyone know if there is an indication of any malicious activity, i.e. is someone pretending to be me, poking around in my mac?

    Thank you!

Unix-based operating system on your Mac (OS X).  The Terminal application, which resides in your Applications > Utilities folder, is used to enter Unix commands directly.

A way to see the name of your computer is through system preferences > sharing.  The name you specify appears valid.

It is therefore likely that your attempt to view the contents of this CD opened Terminal.  I don't worry about this.

  • Forgotten password, but only have access to the secondary email

    Hello

I tried to install Skype on mobile, I see that I forgot my Skype password. I still access to Skype from the mac app, which allows me to access the page count, but without the password, I can't change anything.

The problem is that I lost access to the email (old provider which is no longer available), but I do not have access to the secondary email. However, when trying to retrieve the password with the alternate email I get the message that the email is not registered, I see clearly, that is not really the case.

Please, is anyway I can retrieve the password with my secondary email? Is - a support person can change my email to my secondary email address?

Thank you very much in advance.

Solved! Skype support changed my primary address, thank you!

  • Have Wdws XP using Outlook Express. Recently had work on computer. All of a sudden all the old emails deleted coming on Inbox. (Over 2500) Back in early 2010. Electronic mail stops. What is the problem?

I have Wdws XP and using outlook Express.

Work done recently on my computer, and now all the old emails that I had deleted in early 2010 are coming into my Inbox, (over 2500). I guess it is the overload that stops at the email, so I can't receive new messages.

Thases e-mails had been permanently deleted, supposedly. From which they come, and how can I fix it?

You had a frame that says "leave a copy of messages on the server. There is another setting that says "remove when deleting server ', but it was not selected.

Outlook Express knows the messages that he has already recovered, but this information is a lost if you, for example, recreate your e-mail account. Then all messages go down again if they were left on the server.

If the extraction has ceased, it might be because...

one) you forced by cancellation or may be disconnected from the internet (in which case there are more to come), or

    (b) he finished, in which case old emails cannot be retrieved again (unless you are replicating what just happened), all mail must be picked up

To avoid what is happening in the future...

    (a) according to the State of the parameters mentioned above, you may need to delete messages via webmail, and/or

    (b) to change the settings

    To change the settings...

    • Click on tools
    • Click on accounts...
    • Click on the Mail tab
    • Highlight (click) your e-mail account and then click on the properties button
    • Click the Advanced tab

3 background settings are what control the things...

"Leave a copy of messages on the server.

"Remove from server after x days.

"Remove the server after deleting in" deleted items "

Adjust them as see fit you.

  • Why the fast user switching and the new Windows Search use the Terminal Services?

Recently, I was struck by a piece of really bad, malicious malware that totally trashed my operating system.  Therefore, as I rebuild my system, I am applying the appropriate safety precautions.  Among the recommendations of Microsoft is to reduce your footprint of security by disabling unnecessary services.  One of these services that I thought I didn't need was Terminal Server services, since it is a way for a person to get to my machine remotely.

It turns out that, however, other services that I want to use, such as Fast user Switching and window new search utility, depend on the Terminal Server Services.  It makes no sense to me from a safety point of view.  This seems to be a bad design decision, because security trumps utility.

If Microsoft is listening, I would like to know why you made this decision and you have changed in Windows 7?

Second, is there a way to always have the Terminal services Server running and at the same time cut access remotely through this service?

I don't know about the 'new' Windows Search, but what about the fast user switching you ask to run several sessions of Windows when you switch between users (a session for each user connected) and the only way that Windows can do is to act as a quasi Terminal Server, it needs Terminal Server services to run multiple sessions.

    John

  • slightly different question on the Terminal Services

Under Vista with SP2 from Vista, is the service Terminal Services are disabled by default?

    Hello CompWorry,

    I answered your other question.
But to answer this question, by default in Windows Vista, Termainl Services startup type must be set to manual.
There are no other services that depend on the Terminal Server Services to start.

Your startup type may have been changed by a tech, but I really would not be able to determine.
By default, services Terminal Server listens on port 3389. However, it can be changed through the registry to listen on a different port.

    I hope this helps.

  • How dynamically invoke or avoid the API methods depending on the Version of the API?

Searched but could not find guides on this...

I have a JDK 4.6 App, which itself pretties by using the () calls Field.setBackground and BackgroundFactory.Since that they require a minimum of JDK 4.6 it don't works on JDK 4.6 or better devices.

It is just appearance, the rest of the application requires JDK 4.1. Is anyway I can avoid loading classes and 4.6 calls if the environment is< jdk="">

I would use reflection except that is is not compatible with the Blackberry. I really want to avoid the separate binary files.

    Thanks - Lindsay

    I tried the preprocessor directives.

  • Using bulk collect into with assistance from the limit to avoid the TEMP tablespace error run out?

    Hi all

I want to know if using bulk collect into limit will help to avoid the TEMP tablespace error run out.

    We use Oracle 11 g R1.

I am assigned to a task of creating journal facilitated for all tables in a query of the APEX.

I create procedures to execute some sql statements to create a DEC (Create table select), and then fires on these tables.

We have about three tables with more than 26 million records.

It seems very well running until we reached a table with more than 15 million record, we got an error says that Miss tablespace TEMP.

I googled on this topic and retrieve the tips:

    Use NO LOG

    Parallel use

    BULK COLLECT INTO limited

However, the questions for those above usually short-term memory rather than running out of TEMPORARY tablespace.

I'm just a junior developer and does not have dealed with table more than 10 million documents at a time like this before.

The database support is outsourced. If we try to keep it as minimal contact with the DBA as possible. My Manager asked me to find a solution without asking the administrator to extend the TEMP tablespace.

I wrote a few BULK COLLECT INTO to insert about 300,000 like once on the development environment. It seems.

But the code works only against a 000 4000 table of records. I am trying to add more data into the Test table, but yet again, we lack the tablespace on DEV (this time, it's a step a TEMP data)

I'll give it a go against the table of 26 million records on the Production of this weekend. I just want to know if it is worth trying.

    Thanks for reading this.

    Ann

I really need check that you did not have the sizes of huge line (like several K by rank), they are not too bad at all, which is good!

A good rule of thumb to maximize the amount of limit clause, is to see how much memory you can afford to consume in the PGA (to avoid the number of calls to the extraction and forall section and therefore the context switches) and adjust the limit to be as close to that amount as possible.

Use the routines below to check at what threshold value would be better suited for your system because it depends on your memory allocation and CPU consumption.  Flexibility, based on your limits of PGA, as lines of length vary, but this method will get a good order of magnitude.

CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE show_pga_memory (context_in IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL)

  • How to avoid the ORA-01722 in Collection queries?

I'm in the middle of 11 g migration of 12 c and reproduciple face ORA-01722: virheellinen (invalid number) errors with selects for existing collections.

Never paid any attention to it, but good to know that this can happen.

So it's potentially get ORA-01722 invalid number

    select to_number(coll.c007) c007
      from my,apex_collections coll
     where
          my.id                 =  coll.n002  -- my_id
      and coll.collection_name = 'TUNE_COLL'
      and to_number(coll.c007) = 1  -- first level

    While this isn't:

    select to_number(c007) FROM (
    select c007
    from my,apex_collections coll
    where
          my.id                 =  coll.n002  -- my_id
      and coll.collection_name = 'TUNE_COLL'
    --  and to_number(coll.c007) = 1  -- first level
    ) where  to_number(c007) = 1  -- first level

What is nasty, it's that the responsibe 25 pages of theme with parts of report gets berzerk when error messages between and so on.

I read the following articles, and it really seems that it comes and goes...

Robert Schaefer's blog: Spooky "ORA-01722: invalid number" errors when using the collections of the Apex

    http://deneskubicek.blogspot.fi/2013/03/Apex-collections-and-joins.html

But did not find any quick way to resolve all queries on collections. Somehow, this seems to be because I exceeds the number of columns n001-005 and start using vc c001... columns for numbers.

So what is the best alternative to doing things?

1.) divide collections a number c001... so that the numbers will always n001 numbers...   (it is a time consuming task)

2.) extra make selects select collection... is it enough to convert vc/characters to numbers.

3.) or in any another cool tip - are there for example views on collections?

    Paavo /rgrds

    Paavo wrote:

The error comes randomly, and maybe it has something to do with the existing 'temporary' collections already.

They may have something extraordinary in c007 which cannot be to_numbered with different collection_name.

It has developed before, and this is indeed the cause. The optimizer apply predicates in a different order than that was used earlier. That is, instead of limiting the lines of the collection by the name of the collection to the collection of TUNE_COLL first, then filtering by the value converted C007, she asks C007 firstly, clause that straightens to lines of collections where C007 value can not be converted to a number. This tends to occur during or after the SUMMIT or base data at level, as in this case.

The fix is beef - cross selects all collections and difficulty where the conditions so that they appear only at specific collection_name?

Surely it is necessary on all access collection still? And as explained above, it will not necessarily solve the problem, because the optimizer can change the execution plan and apply predicates in any order.

Why you have exceeded the n001-n005 number of columns? What values are held in these? Preferably, I would suggest using these columns to store digital keys that are used in joins, values put numerical values only referenced in query projections in the columns of characters c001-c050 (and of course to do the same for date values). Then, you can create a view of the collection which explicitly converts values of the column returned to numbers or dates. Using views on top of collections, it is good practice in any case because it allows explicit column names to use in queries rather than a lot of impenetrable n00x and c0xx, which avoids thinking sitting developers "which column is now the postal code?

  • How to avoid the glossy look and brilliant nostrils?

I just built my first character of fuse and when I import into Photoshop, its nostrils are incandescent - as if the light shines through the back of his head!

    This fuse:

    Becomes this in Photoshop:

I use a brush to set the nostrils, but have no idea how fix eye - of the suggestions?

Even better - any ideas on how to avoid the glossy look and glowing nostrils?

    Thank you very much

    Hey, Malcolm.

Best way to explain what basically rendering 3D correctly really takes a lot of time, haha.  So that you may be able to work with the real-time 3D model and make changes quickly, we use two different rendering methods.

There is an "Interactive" mode which is not like the beautiful light/shade, but is very fast - and that's what you see when you interact with the default template.

Then, there is a mode "Raytraced" which is much more advanced calculations and stuff to give you a proper lighting / shadow.  Raytraced rendered may take time if so we can not use it all the time.

In order to get the lights/shadows appropriate you need to perform a path Ray would make on the document.  Best way to do this:

    • Select your 3D layer in the layers panel
    • Make a selection in the drawing area to the area that you want to make (I recommend to test rendering of area to check the lighting/shadows before committing to make the whole layer).
    • Push the button is rendered at the bottom of the properties panel (it looks like a cube in a rectangle box, right next to the delete icon).

There are other things that you must do if you want to get the best image search quality such as the addition of secondary lights!  You can add more lights in the 3D Panel using the small icon of light at the bottom.  Have 2-3 stage lights and adjusting their colors can make a big difference with the Assembly of your character in the scene.  Here is a small image for some comparisons:

You can see the image with two lights a look much more realistic lighting and shadows and raytraced of one and two versions are much nicer and cleaner!

    Hope that helps!

    Dear Sir/Madam

I write about more Adobe non-profit instrument allowed Creative, we bought in January this year. It's been almost four months and we still have to successfully download the software on the computer, so we can really use it. It is completely UN acceptable. Despite many attempts and chat sessions with several of your support staff. We lost hours and hours of our precious time trying to get a working to our computer installation. The computer is a newer version than MacBook Pro bought new in January 2015. It's a sad testament to the stability of your SW if you can't creative SW runs on a Mac. I am confused with what I can do about it. Your Tech support staff clearly didn't have the knowledge to fix and the SW is defective and unusable. Is the problem of the license of the device? We can get this as another form. The last chat with one of our staff asked an email address to at least try to get additional contacts for help, but technology chat session refused to give their address. Four different Tech tried different solutions without success. What to do next? Please consult the transcript of what has past and let us know how to proceed. We are a non-profit organization. Our time and money is valuable to us. We want the use of the software that we paid for. We need a solution to this.
