  On my list. Great minds think alike. Basically the idea is that, because a lot of people is suspended on Twitter these days, NOT their RSS reader, we send also notifications of new blog posts via Twitter.

  My current plan: make a new Twitter account, vmwareblogs, only http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/planet/vmwaremessages. I use a service like rsstotwitter.com or twitterfeed.com. When I get a spare minute. The blocker is now that Twitter requires a new e-mail address for each new account, and I'm out. So either I'll start a ticket or GB gmail.

• Script to kill a suspended task vCenter

  Hello

  I'm looking for a script to kill a suspended task vCenter. Box (v3.5) esx who had problems there and I must disconnect and reconnect back in vCenter. When I tried to reconnect the esx back box, the task is "In progress" State for several hours without expire. I tried restarting the mgmt-vmware and virtual center services the area of ESX, but no luck. This task can be killed by a script powershell or do I have to restart the vCenter services?

• How to suspend a virtual machine?

  I'm writing a use my plugin to create a consistent snapshot of a Lun.

  Assuming that there are a few VMS on the same logical unit number, I need to somehow suspend all VM and then create the snapshot on the storage device.  (I ALREADY KNOW how to create the snapshot on the storage device...)

  Is there a way to suspend a virtual machine without using VM.snapshot?

  Not as far as I know, VMware Tools will assign the operation to "suspend" is really the OS according to the pilots, he may have installed and is generally before the operation of VMware snapshot. An example is Windows + VSS, you can look in the VSS API and see if you can use that or whatever OS you are trying to accomplish this with. VMware uses just what is available on the guestOS, this isn't in the vSphere API to really control it.

• ESXi 4.0 - trying to suspend a virtual machine with the script using the remote CLI

  Sorry if this is in the wrong forum; I can't find the specific forum ESXi 4.0.

  This is the script I tried to use to get my VM to suspend in ESXi 4.0 remotely using the remote CLI:

  "vmware - cmd.pl" - Server 192.168.5.6 - xxxx - xxxx password username "/ vmfs/volumes/datastore1/Helix/Helix.vmx" suspend soft

  This error message appears after you have clicked on enter:

  Hi all, I have a problem, creating a model by cloning the Live VM for Windows Server 2003 x 64 Standard edition and in fact it happens on my own install Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise x 64 as well?

• Videos don't play do not (including recorde Whatsapp, videos, Youtube, Twitter, etc) since the iOS 10 updading

  From time to time, all types of videos would stop playing on my iPhone more including Photos videos 6s, Youtube, Twitter, Whatsapp and everywhere else. He would return to normal only with a reboot. Closing force all the apps won't help, switch networks, locking and unlocking or anything else. I have iOS 10.0.2 and all applications are updated.

  Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. I understand from your post that you have intermittent problems watching videos using various platforms (those you make on the phone itself, YouTube, Twitter, etc.). I watch a lot of videos on my iPhone, I'd be happy to help you!

  Looks like you already have a few to start great troubleshooting steps. Since force close your applications, evolution of networks and rebooting did not help, I would recommend backing up your iPhone, and then reinstall your software iOS.

• How can I turn off default 1 search result in the awesome bar?

  Since the release of 43, it seems that the Awesome bar fills the first result as a generic 'visit' or 'Search' for anything typed in the bar. It's very frustrating because I know where I want to go, and my search history used to fill specific sites, I went to. This new feature to the Awesome Bar takes you is a generic search engine default search, or right on the first page for a specific site.

  For example, it may be a forum page that I regularly to. and in the latest Firefox would fill this page first in my results, which allows a fast navigation. However, the most recent update makes it do that the first result is a query to perform a generic search for what I typed in, or at best to take me to the first page of the site in question, make me have to either type the URL complete, favorite every page ever, I want to navigate to and just use bookmarks now or , or cross my fingers and pray that they default 1 result in the Awesome bar accurately reflects my wishes of navigation (which he never does).

  Is it possible to either:

  1. find the process that causes this 1 default result in the Awesome bar and disable/delete, preferably with extreme prejudice.

  2 prevent the features of Firefox that interacts with a browser default search?

  In its current form, I deliberately ignore the 1st result of the Awesome Bar, because it never fulfills what I want. Specifically, it will fill never I don't want things.

  To disable the 'Visit' item in the list, please edit the preference browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete in The editor of Configuration of Firefox to false.

• How can I remove the default awesome bar visit link?

  I just upgraded to firefox v43.0.1 and the awesome bar began including that this "visit < URL >" link whenever I have started typing a few letters. It's driving me crazy. The only thing I want to show that it is my favorite items (i.e. marked with a bookmark). This "visit < URL >" just started to appear immediately after I've updated today.

  The only thing I've enabled in tools > Options > privacy > address 'Bookmarks' bar which is how it has always been. Why is it now show this '< URL > visit' in the drop-down list and how do I get rid of him?

  This is a new feature in Firefox 43. To turn it off to do this:

  1. Go about: config in Firefox
  2. Click on the I'll be careful button

  If the problem occurs in windows common, hmm... I think you have already tested in Firefox Safe Mode, but if not:

  In Safe Mode, Firefox disables extensions, hardware acceleration, and a few other advanced features to help you determine if they are at the origin of the problem.

  Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

  If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
  • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

  and OK reboot.

  Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

  I have used Twitter a few hours ago and forgot the Tweet button I me avoiding to use and when I clicked on Firefox do not freeze. I tried several times since and all is well. I have not updated anything since I posted above and am puzzled why he "erased".
