I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

  Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me.
