B1160W with Inspiron 3531

I can't get the B1160W printer driver to install on my new Inspiron 3531 Windows 8.1 64-bit. I tried to download the driver from dell support, but it still does not work. It crosses the installer, then comes back with a message saying that the driver is not available and contact the manufacturer. Weird part is that it continues and says while it installed correctly. However, she does not and will not print a test page. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I completely uninstalled MacAfee and activated Windows Defender and it started working. I have a feeling it was a firewall issue. I hope this helps.

  • Headset doesn't work for Inspiron 3531

I just got the Dell Inspiron 3531 about 3 days and I want to use a headset for him but it has only 1 headphone/mic port, my helmet has 2. I tried to plug in a power cord in there but it does that in the headphones, the microphone does not work. Should I get a splitter for the two functions to work? Help, please!

Your laptop has a headphone combo. It is intended for the type of helmet which the microphone and headphones is both handset in one TAKE (4 segments) plug, as either one of these plugs. (Sorry but I don't have a photo of a single plug from SOCKET).

There is an adapter called the helmet buddy that combines 2 TRS (3 segments) taken in a shot TAKEN. However, we got very mixed reports on this work.

Your options are so get an adapter, get a phone headset, get a usb headset, or get an input jack usb audio. Taken usb costs about $5 and you can use your current headphones with it.

    Hello

    Try to install MBR mode.

    1. first create the bootable operating system

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

    2. make sure that disable the "SecureBoot" in BIOS and also enable support "Roop". Probably, you will find them in the "Startup" tab If I remember correctly, "SecureBoot State" and "Boot Mode" are the parameters to change.

    3. turn on your laptop and press F12 during the logo Dell window appears and select your USB drive bootable

    4. He will lead the new copy of your new operating system.

  • Inspiron 3531 - audio headphones from left channel

I have a new laptop of 3531 Inspiron, and I hear audio from the left channel when I plug in my headphones.  Here's the situation:

-Audio works fine on the speakers.

-When I plug my headphones all the way, I hear audio on the left earpiece.

-With the headphones plugged in about 1/2, I hear from the right path. With the helmet on the connected 3/4, I hear the left channel with about 25 percent in volume and the right to 100%.

-J' checked audio balance and volume is equal on both channels.

-The headphones work fine on two other laptops.

Whatever the above behavior if I use the drivers from Realtek installed at the factory, the latest drivers from Dell.com, or if I uninstall the drivers to use the Windows default ones.

    Any ideas?

Hello. Normally, I would say that re - install the audio driver, but you have already done this, then contact support for repairs. If you prefer that fix, you have a 21 day period from the date of the invoice (if you got it from Dell). If you decide to return it, you can perform a system recovery. This is the real test to confirm the hardware failure.

Hello. I apologize for the delay in answering your question.

I suggest that you go to Inspiron 14 3421 Dell html page and download and install a new copy of the Realtek audio driver. Select the latest version for your operating system. Scroll down to the Audio category and you will see the drivers Realtek for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 (WB64A) and Win10 (WT64T or WT32T, which means win 10 64-bit or 32-bit)...

I've got new Dell Inspiron 1774, works great. Got new Dell U2415 Monitor to go with it.  I connect to the laptop using an HDMI cable because there is no display on the Dell Inspiron Port.  When I run the monitor I get "No. DP Cable".  I tried to replace the HDMI cable for another, I tried to connect the RFP to USB 3 cable, I tried to install the drivers etc.  Nothing seems to work.  Any help appreciated.

Have you set the HDMI input source?

    Everyone knows about similar problems?

We have recently seen many reports about this sort of thing. Countiss Forum member wrote that it is because of Microsoft...

"KB2962407 update, stipulating that she fixed"Shortcut autonomy when an inactive audio device is not turned off on a computer running Windows". ".

You don't have to do a system restore to get rid the updates; easier to go to Windows Update, view update history. On the top of this screen, click installed updates. Then just right click the update you want to uninstall.

Found this fix on eightforums dot com ".

  • Problem with Inspiron 15 3537 AMD Radeon HD 8670 M Driver for Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

    Hi team,

I bought this laptop a month back and still not able to understand the problem with the video driver.

    Laptop model - http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/inspiron-15-3537

Issue - AMD Radeon HD 8670 M Driver does not not in Windows 7 Enterprise. Error - driver has stopped working.

    Drivers have tried - http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/ag/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=P28NG

    Help, please.

I called Dell phone Support and they helped me solve the problem.

    Solution: -.

Step 1 - updated BIOS to latest version

Step 2 - before you install the AMD driver, install the Intel HD Graphics driver 4400 (most of people think that is not necessary because we have a dedicated external AMD card. "It was my mistake too). You can download it from Dell support.

Step 3 - install AMD Radeon HD M 8670 driver

And yeppy it works! Windows experience index has a flexible 6.5 for the games graphics on Win 7

  • Seagate Momentus XT 1 TB/7200RPM/32MB/8GBPS/2.5 of is"COMPATIBLE WITH Inspiron Laptop N5110 & how I can install my current win 7 for the momentus SSHD (without installation of Win 7 disc)

regarding the title, I would like to know the compatibility of the SSHD for Inspiron N5110 computer laptop.

In addition, how can I install my current licensed Win 7 in the SSHD (installation of preference of the OS on the 8 GB NAND memory) without the installation CD?

I don't see why the Momentus XT would not work with the N5110 - it will physically fit in the system and the system easily supports a T 1 player.

However, you cannot use the cache SSD built separately in the drive - it is used by the electronic control unit and is not accessible to the user separately.

Before starting the work of replacement of the drive in the system, make sure that you read the service manual - it is not an easy task (you need to remove the motherboard to access the hard drive on this model - it which means pretty much everything can be disassembled in order to access the drive.

You can clone the existing drive to the new using True Image, which provides Seagate - however, to do this, you will need a drive enclosure USB to hold one of the disks as you perform the cloning operation.

  • Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN with Inspiron 1525 problems

I have Inspiron 1525 + 8.1 Windows + Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (Intel last driver for Windows 8). If I set the off mode N card wifi, wifi is more slow (54 Mbit/s), but stable. If I turn N (enable) mode, wifi is fast 144 Mbps, but becomes unstable - often (few minutes) disconnects, the disconnection of the card shows a lack of drivers, you cannot reconnect to the router, you must restart your computer. Another computer - Dell Studio with pre-installed map 5100 is stable under the N on my home network. Dell officially submitted the 4965AGN card is compatible for Inspiron 1525. Is it possible for stable operation in N mode?

    waltur,

I'm glad to hear that you were able to find a solution to your connection problem. Thanks for posting back.

  • Problem with Inspiron exit Epson 3010 projector 3D

Hi, I just got a new laptop to Dell Inspiron 17R & it plays 3D very well. However, when I send the signal to my projector Epson 3010 3D does not work? I tried all the possibilities of updating drivers, etc, nothing works - any ideas? OD is W8 64 b.

OK, got the support Nvidia solution. You have:

o ensure that the GPU drivers are updated to the latest version (Vision 3D gives a free upgrade to 3DTV Play S/W of another $40)

o make the projector Epson (or your 3D TV), the main display (IMPORTANT)

o check the resolution of the TV is 1080 p (with good refresh)

o make sure that cyberlink powerdvd 10 is set to nvidia, 3d mode, 3D is, etc.

o allow 3d play in the nvidia Control Panel (you can test) :-)

o make sure 3D located on the projector, glasses, etc.

o load & play your Blu - ray 3D player, enjoy!

Phew, that'ss a lot, but it worked for me. Now I can watch 3D on your laptop via glasses Nvidia 3D GOLD on the Epson projector with sound & glasses, some great stuff. Darn shame that Dell did not mention this for you!

  • Dial-up disconnects with Inspiron 1501

I have the same problem with other members. I bought an Inspiron 1501 for Christmas with basic Vista for my wife (she uses mainly for navigation). The network disconnects after 5, 10, 15 or 20 + minutes. I spoke with Dell service at least twice. I have 4 computers in my home who can all talk to the same ISP with disturbances as follows...

    (a) Built (Win98) House
    (b) Home Built(Vista-basic)
    (c) Dell Latitude
    (d) HP Pavillion (Win 2000)

If it is not an ISP issue. The first call to Dell was to reformat the hard drive and "Reinstall" the entire software system. In the second call, Dell has thought that the modem may be the problem. When I have the new modem I'll give it a try in a few days. Does anyone have other ideas?

    Hello friends,

I've recently updated my OS from XP to Windows 7 ultra 32-bit in my laptop and the model is inspiron 1501 and fine, but when I switch to the tv by pressing Fn + F8, it cannot get on TV.

My cable is OK and Fn + F8 works, but does not send the TV signal via the VGA port.

I've updated the latest drivers from dell web site, but did not work and I do not know is good software that works for external TV in windows 7 Ultra 32 bits.

I would ask that any body in the community can help me solve this problem?
