Printer HP MT was connected to my laptop running on Windows 7 lap top is dead, now my new upper Tower running on Windows 8.1 will not connect the Hp Printer it does not accept the CD because it's windows 7, how can I connect my Hp Printer to my new lap top

    My B210a Photosmart more to print or copy in black mode 'Copy' or 'Print PC'. Black cartridge is almost new and has worked for 2 weeks; color cartridges are between 25% and 33% of ink left. Colors will be printed, and there is no error message. Wireless printer works from a PC with Windows Vista.

    Hi, if the printer is on a thing of warranty that may be worth soaking the print head...

    (1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
    (2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
    (3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
    (4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
    (5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.

  • I just bought a Photosmart Plus B210a printer/scanner

    How to print on both sides of the page with my printer B210a?

    I tried with limited success.

    I print the odd pages, turn the printed around pages and put them in the feeder, then print the even pages.

    This translates into OK printing pages, but pages are in reverse order! for example, page 64 ends on the back of page 1.

    I need to reinstall the odd pages before you put back them in the charger?

    It's OK... I found the answer my self experimenting.

    The solution was to click on "Reverse the Pages" when you print the even pages.

    Hello world. My apologies if this question has already been asked and answered, but I'm new to this forum.

    I have a 12 month old HP Photosmart B210a (CN216B) printer. The stamps of overflow in the base are quite complete. I need to remove them and clean or replace them. To do this, I need to be able to disassemble unit to allow me access. Can any who offer advice please or point me in the direction of a service manual. I must add that I am a qualified electrician, but have only a knowledge of building printer (just enough to know that it is better to proceed with the right guidance rather than dive!).     Under the point of parking space should be enough to clean. Regarding service manual I don't think they are available for consumers, I have never seen one.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210a printing problem

    I recently bought a HP Photsmart Plus all-in-One Printer B210a and find that I can't customize the size of the paper or the envelope as I could with my Photosmart C4480 printer of old.  This seems silly to me.  In addition, I can't find a helpline for this device.  Would be grateful at least this last!

  • My photosmart more B210a printer displays error "use cartridges setup", even if they have disappeared-

    It was supposed to be an insert ordenary fees cartrides - HP of root cause and good for the printer - but diplay repeat myself that I need to use startup cartridges? It's impossible cause - how to solve this?

    (I can't access all the features of the touch screen - the screen is locked on the error message)

    If the printer is demanding cartridges Setup, then the device will not work until these cartridges are installed.  If you do not have these cartridges, it must make these cartridges of HP Technical Support.

  • HP B210a (printer all-in-one) won't turn off

    I am not able to turn off my printer without pulling on the power supply.  When I press the power switch / screen indicates that the printer is 'close', but it does not turn off.

    Plug the printer back in after having removed the power supply causes the device to assert that this was not extinguished properly and this may have damaged the printer.

    I would like to know if there is a fix for this?  Or if anyone else has encountered this problem with this printer model?

  • HP Photosmart Plus - B210a printing problems

    My photo printer prints now all my photos in red.  First of all, this occurred when the ink cartridges were low.  I replaced the time and the Red pictures disappeared.  When photos started printing in red, I have replaced all cartridges with HP ink cartridges and made sure all cartridges have not all the bands on them to restrict the flow of ink, but still to print photos in red.  I also cleaned and aligned printheads several times but the problem persists.  By tools, my ink levels is now up to 50 percent of the Red photo printing.  I use photo paper bought at Costco, which is the same paper used when the images did print correctly.

    What should I do for the photo printer to get the pictures to print correctly?

    I don't know exactly of what has caused the problem, but I have speculations. It is possible that the ink pipes have stamps, air preventing the ink being subject to a push of the ink cartridge for the print heads. That's why it took 2-3 printheads clean processes to get the ink out. Another possibility is that the print nozzles are blocked and the print head cleaning process after several tests. Regarding prevention, the only thing that I could think off is to make sure to use the power button when you want to turn off the printer. This is to ensure that the print heads is capped correctly to avoid the obstruction. So basically when you get the power failure, be sure to turn on the printer as soon as you get back power. Run a clean print head immediately.

  • Photosmart more B210a no impression and the poor print quality options

    I have a Mac running osx10.9.4 and a connected wireless, B210a printer all-in-one. Everything works well until a recent update that removed all the printing options (color / gray scale / etc. of paper type and print quality)

    The last thing to print very well were some photos in July. Since then whenever I try to print, the black is so fake and colors too bright - almost as if she always strives to pring on photo paper. When we do a re alignment or own heads, prints in black as it should, but every other time, it is terrible. I am a independent and I occasionally print estimates out to customers... but I can't at the moment.

    My son has the same problem with the same printer of his macbook (unknown model / system information)

    Don't know what to do and don't want not throw everything out the window in a fit of anger... Please help!

    Sorry to hear about the recent issues with the B210a Photosmart on Mac 10.9.4. The printer will copy without any quality problem?

    I would try the following on the Mac;

    1. Reset the printing on Mac system. (Mac OS x: how to reset the printing system)
    2. Repair disk permissions (ignore the statement about 10.7)
    3. Download and install this: v.2.16.1 for OS X HP printer drivers.
    4. Add the printer using print and scan from system preferences.

  • Printer B210a

    Someone help me please.  I have a B210a printer that worked all just great, until I upgraded the software.  It's wireless. Now, I can't use the printer.  I reinstalled the software for both the CD and the web at least 5 times and it still does not work.  I'm not a novice at this stuff, but this one has me.  I stopped the firewall, I disconnected and reconnected the printer, I have checked my Windows 7, reinstalled the old software, ensure that the drivers are in place (and they are)...  All shows that it is connected wireless and send a test print and it works...  But the scanner shows that it does not work or I can print anything from my office (wireless).  And yet when I use the scanner itself, it works or printer for cards that I insert into the printer... it works.  The wireless shows that it is connected through the test and information page.  Did it just happen?  I regret using the software upgrade I downloaded everything went to pot right after that.  The page of the device indicates that this printer on 'a' fine, drivers are 'a' very well, but nothing works.  Thanks for any help you can give.

    I think I found the problem.  HP wants to update your software for older hardware.  So once you do, your old printer no longer works.   It's a shame that they don't care of obsolete equipment (according to them) that may be only a couple of years.   This printer B210a fitting my needs perfectly.  Planned on their part obsolescence.  Well it worked... since I have so many cartridges that I had to buy a newer model yesterday.  Printers that use ink 564 going on the road.  Note balances. By the time he arrives, I will have 'filled ink 564' enough times that I spend Epson or Canon.  I knew I should have bought an Epson.  My fault completely.  And I should have realized that HP make their money on ink printers.  At the time when my new will... Epson is it.  And PS: do not update your software.  Be happy with what you have.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210A black ink cartridge will not print

    I have an HP B210A Photosmart printer. Windows 8 operating system.  Recently, I replaced all ink cartridges, Black XL.

    Now the black does not print.  The printer recognizes the ink is there but not print during a test, as the other three colors.  I went back to store & exchanged the cartridge for me even if I had bought all four colors together.  Installed the new one and it still does not work.  Has gone through the process of the online help where they want me to buy an another print head, but that doesn't make sense to me.  The products are HP, ink # 564.

    I wouldn't get rid of this product because of it.  Any help would be appreciated.

    I understand that you have a Photosmart B210a printer that is printing is no longer black. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you with this problem.

    I recommend you all first that you have a look at this print quality paper to ensure that no steps have been omitted in this document. You can also try the steps outlined in this document 'Print head problem' or "Print head seems to be missing or corrupt" Message appears on the computer to clean your print head manually. Then, in a last effort, if these steps do not help, you can also try a suggestion from Bob_Headrick to soak your printhead.

  • Photosmart Plus B210a will not print on the Windows XP computer, but works on the Windows 7 computer

    I just got a Photosmart Plus B210a printer. I was able to install it using the wireless for my Dell Dimension 3000 3 GHz computer with Windows XP 32-bit SP3. He will answer analysis, but it will NOT print, it doesn't matter what I do. I have a Netgear wireless router. I tried the Dell connected directly to the router using a USB of Netgear WG111v3 USB adapter and cable. No impression whatever the configuration.

    On the other hand, I was able to make the printer work with an Athlon II X 4 630 with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit AMD machine. Everything works independently to know if the machine is connected directly to the router Netgear or using the above USB adapter.

    How can I make work B210a with my Dell with Windows XP? Is this a problem XP because Windows 7 has worked perfectly, but Windows XP would only scan.

    Subsequently, I deleted all initially loaded B201a software. At the printer detects the network, then reloaded the software from the CD. The printer then worked fine. What a relief. Perhaps the problem I had previously was linked to my trying to use the USB port when the printer originally did not work.

  • Slow printing with HP printer wireless

    I am trying to print on a HP B210a printer wireless (via Airport Extreme). The print dialog box indicates that I'm «connected to HPD8F456.local...» "but then it takes forever (sometimes days) for the actual document printing.

    After having reinstalled the latest HP drivers, the printer worked fine and then (possibly after a reboot or two) came back to the same problem, which seems to persist if my Mac is connected to the network via Ethernet or Airport.

    I'm using OS 10.5.8 with Aiport 5.6.1 and Airport Extreme utility 2nd gen.

    Open the Console in utilities & see if there are clues or from recurring when messages occurs.
