I now use the normal battery with little or no background activity. I am very pleased and I intend to continue to use Firefox on iOS regularly.

• serious security problem with background app refresh (i5 - ios9.2)

  Just discovered that my iphone 5 (ios 9.2) do not listen to update background app at the level settings or individual app phone.

  In my case, "Whatsapp' application is able to bypass this setting (which is defined to restrict the level of the phone or app) but it is still able to download the messages as long as the phone is attached to wifi

  Please note: this is not a bug in whats app - it's a bug with ios 9.2 - that I can confirm with my phone and tested.

  I really hope that apple engineers are aware of this and put a fix as soon as possible.

  Another drawback of this is, it drains dough at least 30-40% more per day!

• Firefox is refreshing all pages of a Web site only and adding # at the end of the URL - it may be the cause?

  In my workplace, I use Firefox version 5.0.1 on Windows XP. When you access pages on the Web site http://www.sqa.org.uk (it is used the website of my place of work), pages refresh approximately every 30 seconds to a minute, and a sign # is added at the end of the URL in the address bar.

  This does not occur on all other sites, but it occurs also with colleagues who also have the same version of Firefox. I have disabled the extensions, had removed then reinstalled Firefox but the problem just occurred.

  You have any ideas?

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  I recently deleted all my photos, movies and music on my Mac to save on hard drive.

  However, despite the removal of all my hard drive is showing:

  3.2 GB movies

  1.3 GB Audio

  Photos of 4.3 GB

  I searched these files and the results come back with nothing but my hard drive is still showing that this space is taken to the top.

  Does anyone have any ideas or ideas?

  Spotlight on my iPhone Chess 6 were driving me crazy. About half the time Spotlight returns no results.

  After much trial and error I found that killing a background app, Reeder, 3 (reeder.app) solved the problem. I don't think it's a bug of Reeder, I think it's just that my habits of the user with power supply/Reeder are facing a set of 9.x bugs related to the management of background applications. I had already turned off "Background App Refresh" and Spotlight indexing most of the applications, but I still had to hit kill the background application.

  This may get fixed to the 9.3, but in the meantime experiment with updated death of background apps - even if you do not use Reeder. You can find one or two that are particularly problematic.

  This seems quite as if the problem is a bug with Reeder not closing properly in the background. Most of these 'background apps' do not run in the background. They are used most recently.

  I have disabled in the background running apps in the power manager, but still historic turning applications, thereby it consumes more RAM and battery. Please solve this problem.

  That option does not preclude the application to run in the background instead it will not allow the application of auto-start. So if you open this app it could run in the background unless you kill the application.
  Or do you mean that the app begins on its own even after killing it?

  Press the sleep/wake and home buttons and keep them for at least 10 seconds.

  I bought an Apple TV 4 and I really like it.

  I have a receiver with speakers, and a TV connected to the HDMI port out of the receiver. Apple TV is connected to the receiver with HDMI.

  The only problem I have is that I installed two applications of radio to listen to my local radio station, but two of them stutter (IE as the app refresh of the stream after every 5 seconds) when I turn off the TV and the receiver stays on (audio only then hollow speakers connected to the receiver).  All stock apps work well (music, Podcast, sharing of computers/Home). There is also no problem with these two apps as long as the TV.

  There is a general problem with 3rd party applications or is it just bad luck so I downloaded have the same problem?

  It is not apps, it is because you do not have your on TV.

  Users have experienced different results when you try to use the Apple TV for audio only. Some have found it works well, others have found that they need to have the TV on get audio and others have found that they need the TV to start with, but may turn off when the audio starts to play.

  I suspect these variations result from the type of connection that the TV offers and therefore may vary depending on the make and model of TV.

For the first time today, I dropped 35%, and when I checked in the settings I noticed it says background activity to the title of the App Store. It says use 76 per cent in the last 24 hours.   Are you sure that you have installed these applications or you make only a few assumptions to 100%?
  Maybe you should pick up the laptop using Toshiba Recovery disk or using the Toshiba HDD recovery option.
  Then check if the laptop can turn off properly.

  If this isn't the case, then try to update the BIOS.

  Hi all,

  I hope someone can help, I need to know what to do. I bought this laptop C855-1UU Satellite two days ago, and I'm afraid she has certain shortcomings.

  Everything works fine, except that I have problem when I power the laptop off. I use Linux OS (tried with Sabayon and now on Manjaro, I wanted to just check is this OS or hardware problem).

  It is:
  When power off the computer laptop (with icon or via the console command), phone off... then turns stays off for about 5-10 seconds and then switch on by itself without any reason!
  I tried to determine what could be the possible reason, and I found that occurs only when the battery charger is connected. Tried it with the battery removed, with loading the BIOS default values, nothing changes... always turn on itself.
  When unplug charger laptop battery and try to power off the computer, it works.

  Any suggestion, idea or advise what to do?
