  It's an add-on brower who was the culprit. I don't remember the name of it now, but when I took it I was able to post comments on Youtube with success.

• Why my locked background layer turned into 'layer 0 '?

  I have been using Photoshop for a while and I think that as this is a pretty basic question, but I can't find the answer anywhere, so I hope that you will be able to help me.

  I've noticed that sometimes when you are working on an image that after editing, saving and reopening of what the original locked "Background layer" somehow transformed into a unlocked layer called the "Layer 0". I don't know how and why this happens, and now what I do to protect the original background layer is simply locking "layer 0" so it is not be changed.

  Can you tell me why this is happening, what is layer 0, and how can I avoid this in the future (I like to keep just the original layer as the locked background layer)?

  In layers background completely lockable Photoshop, then maybe that is anyway better to your needs.

  But how you got to unlock the layer of original background in the first place is probably not for someone else to know but you.

  The change would be part of an Action or Script you use (maybe one that is called by the Script event handler) or you do alt-double-click on the background layer?

  To change a layer to a background layer (if the document has not), you can use

  Layer > new > layer background

  From what you have stated above, I think that the file association for LNK files has been given misdirection to the VLC Player. I've seen this happen when opening a program via a shortcut (for example. LNK file), you are asked what type of program to open it with. After selecting the VLC Player (or another program) via the Select a program from a list of programs installedand check always use the selected program to open this type of file (circled in red below), the document or program referenced by the shortcut of origin opens in VLC Player as it should.

  

  The problem is that now all shortcuts (for example. LNK files) on the desktop or in the browser will want to be opened by VLC Player and VLC Player icon to view the shortcut no matter what shortcut was originally intentioned to open. This is known as a file association and the default icon. The same condition can occur if you have performed these actions 'Open with' on one. JPG or even a. EXE, but the. LNK explanation is much more likely for the items on the desktop.

  The good news is that a small free utility was written to cancel the. LNK file association was created. There is also a registry hack to achieve, but I recommend the utility unAssoc for its ease of use.   As far as I know, Firefox does not have PDF files somehow. There is a proposal to associate files PDF in Firefox when they are not already associated with an application, but has not been implemented to date (bug 787674).

  I am running Vista Home Premium (64 bit) on a laptop Acer Aspire 6930.  I discovered that my DVD RW RAM drive (IDE\HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N le05) turned into a CD-ROM drive. My system today described this DVD RW RAM drive as a CD-ROM drive.

  I tried to update, roll back, selection of the driver to be installed without success.  Device property details have changed.

  While searching on the web for a solution to my problem, I learned that I'm NOT the only person this transmogrification arrived. Unfortunately, I still have to learn a shy solution to reinstall my operating system.  Can someone give me advice or point me in the right direction?

  I don't really know what controls the parameters for installing the correct driver for each device.  I guess that the parameters are defined in the Details tab for the properties of each device.  I have no idea how I would do anything to change these settings, but I think that a potential problem lies.

  I was suggested in another forum, I have to remove the battery and put it back in a little while. I did and I had to push the button start two times to make it work again. Then one of my friends saw how I had used the laptop and said ' Hey, you're covering the vents when you sit like that. " So, I understood that it "crashed" because it got too hot and needed more air. It happened a few times again but now I know what to do and I try to avoid it. But the vents everywhere under the computer - bad idea.   Three things I can think of:

  Your document must be in RGB mode.

  Layer blending mode should be set to Normal

  Masks are grayscale. If you select the mask, you cannot apply a color.

  Always check your tab at the top to see if what you choose is RGB or grayscale.
