• How to get back to the MacBook Pro after reformat

  Hello!

  I have a problem with my MacBook Pro 13 inch end 2011 laptop when I press command + R (recovery or something of the island who), restart my laptop. Then I have to wait 4 hours to do before going to disk or something.

  Install or reinstall OS X from scratch

  Make sure that you have backed up your files because the following procedure will remove all of the hard drive.

  HD recovery start:

  Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until the menu screen appears.

  Erase the drive:

  1. select in the main menu disk utility and click on the continue button.

  2. once the charges of THE select your boot volume (usually Macintosh HD) in the

  My MacBook Pro (end of 2011; El Capitan 10.11.5) is recently become insensitive at the point of being unusable, so I decided to do a clean install, since I had to do one for a while anyway. Once I reinstalled El Capitan, I took my SSD (Samsung 840 EVO; 500 GB) out of the enclosure and put it back in my MacBook Pro, but it wouldn't boot. As a first step, it loaded so slowly that I decided to reset the NVRAM, who ends up helping just a little. The loading bar fills now halfway to the top with the usual speed, but after that, it takes a few minutes to complete. And once it is full, nothing happens.   Update: I just tried it on an other SSD (same model, 250 GB) which has been working well in my older MacBook and this time I get an error message as soon as the loading bar starts to fill to the top. It remains for a few seconds, then the MacBook stops and starts again; This continues in an endless loop. I have attached a picture below.

  

  I really don't know how exactly to interpret this, but this looks like a kernel panic for me. What is my RAM after all? I appreciate any comment on that.

  Connect the SSD to the external MBP via USB and see if it will start the MBP.  If so, the internal SATA cable is suspect.

• Why my external hard drive cannot be mounted or viewd by a Macbook

  I can't see my HD exertenal from the finder.

  I do not have G-Tech HD and I use with TimeMachine. This HD has two partitions.

  The first is used for the backup with Time Machine, a macbook air, and the second partition is used to back up a macbook pro with Time Machine.

  It worked fine until I look in the external hard drive (partition macbook). Now, it is not possible to mount the external hard drive. From the Finder, I see no partition eighter the first or the second.

  I plugged it in an another mAcbook air and no way to see inside the external hard drive.

  Howerver, I pluggged in a 14.04 ubuntu and I was able to navigate through the external hard drive

  Why can I see the contents of the external HD with a ubuntu n not with a Macbook?

  El Capitan has permissions configuration much tighter than earlier versions of Mac OS X and it can become a problem to open files from a different computer. You need to tell us what OS you are running on all computers.

  I suspect that Ubuntu is having no problem because it does not under the same restraint of permissions.

  It worked fine until I look in the external hard drive (partition macbook).

  What you have done here, caused the change of permissions.

  Don't forget that connect a player directly on a computer and use it plugged into an airport will have different permissions issues.

  I don't have much in the way of a solution. Apple has changed repair them permissions on El Capitan.

  You have a Mac running an earlier version of Mac OS X?

• Delete the backups on my Macbook Pro

  I backed up my macbook with an external hard drive. I did it to free up space by deleting things out of my macbook and just to have them on my external hard drive.   I have an external hard drive that I've implemented a Time Machine drive and I make monthly backups to it.

This HD were thousands of files on it and was also my Time Machine backup disk. I really want to erase and reformat, but I don't know what else to do! Can anyone help? My MacBook is a model 13 "of 2012 and the HD is a year older. Never had any problem with before this. I realize I should never be plugged on the Samsung device now.

  I eventually found a solution myself. In the case where it happens to someone else, use a program like EaseUS evaluation edition to see if your files are still there and CAN be recovered. After much research, it was clear that the question was a mapping problem caused by plugging the hard drive in the unit of Samsung Media and my MacBook could read is no longer. I ended up using Disk Warrior and it was set to 100% less than an hour. No need to format or restore data to another drive.

  Lesson learned - if you use it on your Mac, connect on something else!

• Can I import my Firefox bookmarks from an automatic backup to a new MacBook Pro computer?

Can I find one of these backups and restore it on my new laptop? I did not all new bookmarks, crushing would not be a problem.

  Apple diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, as generally unreliable, sometimes detects a fault. A negative test may not be depended on. Run the long version of the test, if necessary.

• Lack of storage battery MacBook Pro

  My Macbook Pro battery storage (end of 2012) is a failure. When the battery contains about 45% (and also lower percentages), the Macbook turns off completely, which indicates battery icon red empty great on a black screen.

  Thought that it reads 'normal', in 1487 cycles a battery is warranted.  Stacks of old, used often expand and can damage a MBP.

• MacBook Air turns on if the charger is plugged

  So I bought my Macbook Air 6 months and I love it. I got no problem with him, until today. I was on my laptop this morning and I left it charging for 2 hours, then I came back and my Macbook does not illuminate. I did a lot of research but nothing has worked. • preparation of a Macbook Pro for return to society

  Hi am back my company Macbook pro that has been with me for a while and to check that I followed the correct procedure with respect to my personal data?

  so far, I have:

  deleted my folder of the computer

  updated the software to El Captain (from Snow Leopard)

  then a HD full erase of the utility disk in boot mode and re install the OS

  CC-Cleaner to clean the Caches etc.

  then for good measure, I did an erase secure free space through the terminal and transformed file Vault 2 on

  couple of questions though:

  I can see that the OS has import old bookmarks for Safari so I was wondering what else may have migrated to the new operating system with regard to my data?

  (I put Safari in developer mode to clear the cache of the preview)

  I'm almost tempted to just put in a new HD and back to Leopard as I have the original disks, but I'll be able to re install if this disk has been used before?

  Unless you used a company Apple ID(or one of Apple's Lion install thumbdrives) to install the operating system, you may not return with a more recent than 10.6.8 on that OS. Otherwise, Yes; you will be able to use the original disks if you need to.

• ITunes will not play back movie after the use of airtime

  I used airplay to read (on an Apple TV) a movie bought from my Macbook Pro. Now, I can't play one of my films bought back on my Macbook - if I use airplay and Apple TV. I get a black screen with no sound. Other actors (Quicktime and Aurora) do the same thing. I've deleted and reinstalled iTunes. OS X 10.10.5. iTunes 12.3.1.23. How to restore so I can watch on the Macbook?

  Well, nobody else has encountered this. Good news is that iTunes and update of security just published is now installed and I can watch once more my movies on the Macbook. No game to try again if the airplay.
