Backup data from iCloud!

Hi guys,.

I have a question does your iCloud, available storage, (I think it's 5 GB Apple provides right?) with each device/Apple Id? Has any link with the iCloud backup data.

For example, I have 1 GB of available space on my iCloud storage and if I turn on the option Back Up Data to iCloud and if my data is more than 1 GB it are saved in the iCloud. These two have no connection at all? or are they two different things?

Thanks in advance to all!

They are the same thing - your iCloud backups use your iCloud-storage space. You get 5 free concerts for the iCloud account (is not by the machine, for example if you use the same account on 2 devices you'll have 5 GB of available, not 10 gig). If you have 1 GB available and the size of your backup is more than 1 GB, he will not be able to make backup

If they were purchased through the Kindle books (i.e. Amazon) you can open the Kindle application on your new iPad, if not already in the tap of the library the 3 bars on the high left and click library, and then tap cloud down, tap and hold any book in your library and then on download. All purchases are stored by Amazon and can be downloaded at any time.

    Thank you.

There will be only one backup in iCloud for any device. iCloud backups are incremental, but each new incremental backup replaces the previous one. They are not cumulative because who would use quickly to the top of the default free people 5 GB of space.

Is there no backup showing in the storage area in your iCloud for this device account, then he never supported.

  • Recovering data from a Time Machine to an external drive backup

How to recover data from a backup Time Machine to an external drive?

I use Time Machine to back up data (photos, videos) on an external drive (drive A) to another external drive (drive/B) separate that I use for Time Machine backups. After performing a backup, the external drive (drive A) appears in TimeMachine and can I recover files that are on the external drive (A) just as I can for the files that are found on the internal hard drive.

I need to know what to do if I drop my external drive (drive A) completely and you want to recover the Time Machine backup on a new replacement drive?  When I disconnect my external drive (A) and enter the Time Machine, I don't find a way to access the files to recover.  Still... I know they are there!

Using the Time Machine application in your Applications folder. Please visit Time Machine FAQ of Pondini for using Time Machine.

  • How can I restore my new iPad mini from iCloud backup if they are not compatible with iOS9?

My Mini iPad had an internal problem, so I got a new one on the Apple store.

The problem is I'm trying to save my other from iCloud, and I get a message saying

my back ups that are not compatible with iOS9? What should I do? I don't want to set it up as a new iPad.

I want to save all my info. Help, please!

What iOS has been used to create the backup initially? Is it possible that the backup was performed with iOS 9.x and replacement has only iOS 9.0? Check what iOS is on the replacement iPad. If this is not the last and the original device was later, then you will need to put in place the iPad like new, update of iOS, then go into settings > General > reset > erase all content and settings. Then you can restore the backup to iCloud.

  • Destinations of recovering data from tape backup

I am doing some tests with data recovery in a lab environment and wonder now to get the destinations of tape data recovery.  Is there a way or a need to suspend the destination for the backup to tape?  I am considering this hypothetical: data recovery destination is on a NAS device and begins the task of band.  During tape backup, data recovery backup another machine, updating the catalog and DATS mi backup.  Which could cause problems when you try to recover?

Ideally we would keep separate data recovery window of the tape backup window, but I was wondering if we will have problems if the two annexes never collided and we need to restore.

    Thank you

I do store deduplication backup tape since I use VDR. I'm testing the recovery from tape and deduplication deduplication to vm on a regular basis because I will never approve a disk to disk backup. Still worked well.

But I do not use a NAS share as deduplication store, I use a RDM. You must close VDR to get the store of deduplication to tape. Just look at this thread http://communities.vmware.com/message/1505632#1505632. There are two ways presented, RDM and SMB share.

There is no risk that VDR is hitting the backup process of the band at least using RDM. When VDR tries to start while the store of deduplication is mounted anywhere else, VDR does not start.

You'll also somehow influence the integritiy check the timer. It's just a work around until VMware gives us a real control in this topic, but it works - at least for me. Just look at this thread http://communities.vmware.com/message/1508463#1508463

  • How do I export data from one day to backup disk.

    Hi all

Here we have a requirement like, we need to download the data from one day to the external drive and we must compire the exported data and the data in the table.
I googled and I have discovered that using expdp command we can export the table content, but my Question is how do I export data from one day. My table having 2 years of data and I need download the data of only one day.

    expdp scott/tiger@db10g tables = EMP, DEPT = TEST_DIR dumpfile = EMP_DEPT.dmp expdpEMP_DEPT.log = logfile directory

Can someone tell me how to download data from one day to the table & compare data exported with the data in the table. (I know both exported and data of the table data will be the same that we are downloading data of the actual table, but for tests, I need to know how to compare).

    Thank you
    Sree

However, I do not understand the scenario but here is a way to compare:
    (1) change the name of the table newly created in another name
    (2) import the exported file once again

you will have the same data in both tables

  • Photos downloaded from iCloud are wrong to timestamp

Recently, I put my iPhone to "Optimize storage" so that my photos are all housed in iCloud. I always liked keep a backup of my photos on my Mac library. The problem is that when I download pictures from iCloud Photos, all files have a creation date of the day of the download instead of the day, that the photo was taken in fact!

I searched online and read the suggestions in the "export Original", but I think it's the old Photos? Right now, all I see on iCloud.com > Photos is a download top-right button.

iCloud is displayed the photos with all the dates on the right. But it came out on my Mac, all the details are missing... Really disappointed because I don't want to have to manually date everything. There must be a solution?

See the explanation of leonie here to see if this might help - an incorrect export of iCloud photo date

  • Can't see or delete the backup data

I am struggling with what follows. I keep getting messages that my icloud storage is almost at capacity and I don't want my 5 GB storage capacity.

When I go the app iCloud on any of my devices (1 x 5, 1 x iPad, Windows with iCloud App iPhone), it shows a graphic that the vast majority (about 4 GB off the 5 GB used) capacity is used by backups (a few photos, some mail). However, when I click on 'manage storage', he told me that the backups are "0 Kb". I can't select the data for backups and therefore cannot select or remove what it contains.

In short, I don't need my devices stored in iCloud - I have a server at home and iTunes for this. I like to keep my photos and email on there, but it is there no space left. I had an old MacBook that went wrong and had several libraries of iPhoto on it that I think got corrupted who took loads of space, so it may be the culprit. But I no longer access that material so cannot connect to iCloud from that device.

I did a temporary fix to my box with smaller letters, but don't see why I should limit myself to about 1 GB of data in iCloud when they offer 5!

    Any help most appreciated.

same problem here, except instead of backups it says it's documents
