BACKUP - e-mail

Hello guys! I begin to understand the process the UCS and trying to find a better option for save messages (partitions) on NGC. Unfortunately, I'm using Oracle Linux and do not have the ability to use ZFS (official title). Y at - it any recommendation for this? Basically, I think use snapshots to store and perform a weekly full backup. Thanks in advance!

Here are a few additional recommendation, that you can find on the official documentation:

https://wikis.Oracle.com/display/CommSuite/best+practices+for+Messaging+server+and+ZFS

Of course, these are referring to ZFS... so since you are on Linux, you will have to do the mapping of the following options (if available) for the semantics of your file system.

Also for what it's the best "size" of each message store the partition, there is no "rule of thumb" or "magic numbers": it is strongly influenced by the patterns of use and distribution of the user, so 10 to may be too or just well... it depends on your workload and your use of SAN/performance (is all your data on the 'flash/SSD' - tier) , or are you only going to slow disks "SATA"layer?)

Imsbackup/imsrestore approach is usually one that allows you more flexible/granular control and the ability to restore single mailbox or simple mail box... But of course, in addition to being more slow (compared to a zfs snapshot) the real compromise is that he needs additional free disk space.

HTH,

Marco

Your product key must have been sent to you - if it has been taken in the anti-spam or lost otherwaise filters, open a session on your MS STore account with the same LiveID you bought the copy with - your key should be there.

  • Backup e-mail reports

    Hi all

I am new to Oracle and have recently implemented incremental backups on multiple databases. I am currently looking at backup through OEM reports and it would be nice to have these reports and their results by e-mail to a central location, so that I can quickly check the success of a backup without having to connect individually to each database.

Could someone point me in the right direction to know where to start to do so or if it is still possible? This would be by changing the current scheduled RMAN jobs I have configured through OEM?

You can do this with Enterprise manager.

Preferences--> general--> to put your email
Preferences--> rules--> to clean the rules of your e-mail (send email when the job finished, what database down,...)

  • Backup Windows Mail .eml files

I have found and saved my files of .eml to C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local folders a few months ago, however, when I try to save it again, I'm not capture my most recent emails. The e-mail messages were all abandoned in the respective records and are 'there' while I'm under Windows Mail, however, a lot of the newer files are NOT in the directory 'Local Folders' hard disk. Guidance on where to find them? Thank you! Bob K.

Have you copied all the files in the folder "Windows Mail" and did you do immediately after as a transmission / reception with Windows Mail closed?  That's what I'd do.

  • Backup e-mail blackBerry Smartphones

I feel the resets frequent unexplained and called Verizon today to support. They suggest that you do a "hard reset" and see if that fixes the problem. They explained how to save contacts and photos/music/etc., but they did not explain how to make a backup of the emails. I suppose that if I "sweep" the BB, all emails on the device will be gone. How to save and restore them? The Association said to synchronize the vice "backup/restore" device to avoid reintroducing a corrupted file.

I think that the backup/restore would have worked, but VZW specifically told me not to do...

  • In Apple Mail, I managed to import a box mailbox, but I can't move the mailbox imported to be with the rest of my mail

I accidentally deleted one of my 4 Apple Mail accounts.  Using my backup, I followed the procedures of Apple and successfully imported this box to my backup hard drive letters.

Using Apple Mail, I managed to import the box mailboxes in Apple Mail from my backup, (the mails I wanted are) but I can't MOVE the mailbox imported to be with my other 3 mail accounts.  This folder contains 2 files, incoming messages and sent messages.

I wanted to move the 'Import' folder to the "Mailboxes" section in the sidebar (just below ' boxes ' are my 3 "Inbox". Below are my 3 sent icons. (it looks like a paper airplane).

I even tried to create a new Inbox mailbox, but this new mailbox does not have anything new under the "Inbox" and "Sent" icons.

Try to add the account back and then copy import emails to the mailbox to the appropriate account.

  • How can I move mail in the Inbox of offline folder to a local folder?

I have an IMAP account and my supplier has lost everything except the last week of my emails. I still have in the folder offline in Thunderbird so as long as I stay in offline mode I can see the emails but I want to move them into local folders to be able to go online and synchronize the account without losing all the. How can I do this?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/try using the import export tools to make backups of mail EML. then if it works, you can go online and allow synchronization. If your provider has simply lost the mail they can synchronize successfully. If this is not the case you can drag the EML files in IMAP folder (a little at a time) and they need to synchronize

  • Restore the project individual mail deleted

I tried to use Time Machine to restore a deleted project.  I can see the deleted project opens in the e-mail program. The instructions on the screen say 'click on restore' but the restore button does not appear when saved mail screens are rising.  I have also tried to go directly to the 'last to the top", but does not have backups of mail.  It doesn't seem to be a library under my user name file.   NOT a big fan of El Capitan... :-(

  • Unistall and reinstall Windows Mail.

I bought an internet filter program. When he installed Windows Mail does not work correctly. After having the developers of the software I bought get involved that they seemed to think it was a local problem with my machine. Windows Mail goes back to working properly when I uninstall the program. The software is called Safe Eyes. They suggested I backup Windows Mail, uninstall it and then install the filtering software. After its installation, and then reinstall Windows Mail. I would like to help with this procedure so I don't ruin things. Thank you.

Windows Mail is part of the Vista operating system.
It is not designed to be uninstalled/reinstalled.

  • Unable to find saved emails and error message "content of this message is not found ' in Windows mail

Original title: How can I find backup Windows Mail e-mail files that are now gone?

How to find Windows Mail registered mail files that are now gone? My business is done mainly by e-mail and I save each citation in the e-mail to the client file. When I return to open the mail it says "content of this message is not found." Windows mail. How can I recover these files?

    Hello

You can perform the following methods and check if it solves the problem.

Method 1: Rebuild the Windows Mail message store

This method will help you rebuild the message store. By rebuilding the message store, only the messages that have no errors cannot be loaded and delete messages that contain errors.

To remove the Windows Mail message store file and then rebuild, follow these steps.

    Look for the message store

For Windows Mail, by default, the data is stored in the location C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail
Check if the data is present in this folder. If it is present, you can import the data into Windows mail.

    i. open Windows Mail by clicking Start , all programs, and then click Windows Mail.
II. click on the file menu, point to importand then click Messages.
III. click on Windows mailand then click Next.
IV. make sure import mail from a windows mail store directory is selected, and then click OK.
    v. click Browse, find the folder of windows Messaging (C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail) you copied to this computer and then click on the file once to select it. (Do not open the folder when you select).
VI. click Select a folderand then click Next.
VII. click all folders to import all the folders, or click Selected foldersand select which message folders you want to import and then click Next.
    VIII. click Finish.

    Method 2: Virus scanner

You can download Microsoft Safety scanner, which provides on-demand scan, and remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.

See the link to download Microsoft Safety scanner on the system.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Warning: The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Hope the helps of information.
