Backup or transfer contacts blackBerry smartphones.

I need help, on my Blackberry Pearl charger port is damaged and I can no longer connect or require him. I have half of a battery up while he's sitting off mode and I need a way to backup or transfer my contacts. I've heard that I can do this via bluetooth wireless. I was wondering if I could just save everything on my microSD card in the phone or if my only option is to transfer via bluetooth (I'll have to buy a dongle, and if that's my only option who are compatible) so how would I do so?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I need to get this supported by later today.

Thank you

Anticrawl

I suggest consult you google sync, it must synchronize live contacts.

You can't save your contacts on the press card.

Sync via bluetooth to your PC is also a good option.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

  • Problem transfer contacts blackBerry to Blackberry Z10 software

I was very happy to head to the store today to upgrade my 9800 Torch to the new Z10 Blackberry. I downloaded the new Blackberry Link program on my laptop and selected the device switch option to transfer all my details, etc. between the two devices. I was devastated to see that none of the phone numbers in my contact list have been transferred. Apart from manual entry of all the phone numbers in my new phone is there a solution available for this problem? I found a forum on a third party site that says that all the contacts on the old phone must be associated with an email address in order for things to work but I have no idea how to do it. Details of transfer contact is probably the most important function a new user must fill. The fact that I have to turn to help on the day one forums suggests that he is a big enough show excessive share of Blackberry. I consider myself a loyal BlackBerry user and I'm about to throw my new phone out the window... I can't imagine what my mom or Dad would be thinking about it now. Help, please!

It seems that you might have had more than one address book on your old device, and information on the default address book could have moved on.

On the old device, can you watch them your Options > status > touch menu > Database sizes... you see more than on the database of the book address?

  • Lists of multiple contacts blackBerry Smartphones

Me seems to currently have 3 occurrences of my Office on my BB contacts list, so I get 3 entries for most of my contacts and I get no name of the person when people call showing just the company name, very frustrating having to select the list of contacts to the right whenever I go into the contacts on my phone.

Any ideas how to remove the other 2 copies of the list of contacts?

  • Contacts blackBerry Smartphones Nokia and Motorola conversion in Blackberry contacts

I got a deal of my new carrier for two new BlackBerry for the price of a more expensive. So I got a 9700 "BOLD", then my wife receives a Pearl 9100. Now, previously, we used two different phones, she was using a Nokia 3500C (GSM), while I was using a Motorola KRZR K1M CDMA (). I tried port both of our lists of contacts from phone above.

First, I tried to copy the contacts to my wife in the Nokia SIM card. I then put the SIM card in its new BB, and it would not read the SIM card. I guess that's because BB is locked to a specific carrier. My carrier unlock our phones until we've been with them 3 months, that use me at the moment.

Then I simply imported contacts into our PC with Nokia Software and then saved your contacts file to *. CSV format. I also did the same thing on my Motorola, with the Motorola software and also recorded one *. CSV file. When I tried to read the two contacts in the Blackberry Desktop Manager, he returned with an error:

Error has occurred. Error code: 0 x 80040057.

    See the documentation.

I think it has something to do with some of the fields that exist in a phone but not the other. I would have thought that their Intellisync software would know how to take care of this? It's the exact message even if I don't speak of contacts from the old phone to Motorola or the old Nokia phone.

Same thing when I try to import the calendar entries too.

This KB, provides a sample CSV (bottom of the KB, a link)... This might be useful in your quest.

First make a backup of your address book.

Then go to the email account and sync turn off Contact wireless > open your address book or Contacts > press the Menu key > Options > on this type of screen " rset ", it can warn you that it will wipe your contacts list > click Yes to continue.

  • Address book for the transfer of blackBerry Smartphones

I got a new blackberry to my company because my old had hardware problems.  I would like to transfer my address book from my old to my new blackberry.  When I use the Desktop Manager to do this and make a backup and then proceed to do a restore of the AddressBook is grayed out on the left side. In order to transfer to my new blackberry.

I even tried the device switch Wizard and he transferred a game that I downloaded from my old blackberry to my new but my address book, calendar, tasks, Notes and password Keeper not transferred. I'm not on an Entreperise of Blackberry server.  She just basically transfer my information from a Blackberry to the new.

This is the same model (8130) for the Blackberry.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  Thank you

Oh dear - your new device has a COMPUTER policy. And, since you received the device in your company, you must seek their help because it is most likely that it is this policy that prevents you from doing what you want to...

Now, if they come back and say "we don't know anything about"... so there are some things that you can do... all are 100% destructive of any data that you have on your BB, then plan on what it is once more "nines"...

  • Sync contacts blackBerry Smartphones Outlook 2007/Desktop 5.0

I am a relatively new user of Blackberry (4 months).  I sync my Blackberry Curve 8330 with Outlook 2007 on a windows using Blackberry Desktop v 5.0.  While the right of the logic of the calendar synchronization, the contacts are not.  It seems that when I sync Outlook to the Blackberry, it just seems to ADD contacts, rather than MERGE them.  You can imagine that it means that the number of contacts on my Blackberry keeps on growing, with obvious duplicates.

Note: I don't '1 way', that I need not change on my contacts on the Blackberry transfer to Outlook.  It's a one-way street.  In addition, I know the work around - from time to time, I'm doing a "replace contents" when I synchronize so that all of the contacts on the Blackberry are deleted and new Outlook contacts are transferred.  Because I have about 4000 contacts, he is a rather slow process, and I don't want to do it every time.

    Thank you.

Thank you.  That "reset" seemed to have worked.   We'll see after I do some modifications, etc.

  • LOST CONTACTS blackBerry smartphones

My fone is being repaired, that I need to access my contacts, how can I access my contacts of balackberry site and save it on my computer until I find my phone because I use a different fone temprory and I cant contact anyone please help urgent

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is no "balackberry site' that you can access your data from. I guess since you were not clear, but I guess you mean that you have active BB Protect and back up your data and you must have access to it for the interim. The only way to access these data must have a different BB that you connect to the same BBID and restore from protect these data. There is no other method to access these data.

Of course, that's why Protect is an excellent part of a good backup strategy, but should not IMHO be depended on as the single component.

    Good luck!
