P1102w: P1102w - orange light blinking - won't initialize

My printer won't boot and the orange light blinks. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and firmware.  It also shows 'it can run out of toner' when I know that it is not. Cannot print page of test or anything else that he does not communicate with the computer. Help!

Hey @cbloom57,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have an orange light flashing on your Laserjet P1102w printer range. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once it is, while the printer is on, remove the power cable at the back of the printer for one minute. If you still see a flashing light orange, then the printer is more likely to have a recoverable hardware problem. This document explains How to resolve error lights on the printer.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to clear the blinking light, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Satelite L775 used high power - orange light blinks 5 times

    Greetings,

I bought my Toshiba Satelight new l775 7 months ago, it's so crazy. It used to be on, I use the laptop connected to the adapter 4 to 8 hours a day, then the laptop goes unused and unplugged for 16 to 20 hours a day.

This is my 3rd phone, I know that I put more tension on the previous two (HP and Acer). I've never had a laptop go on me this quick, even this acer laptop $ 300 crossed more tension and never went out in the 15 months that I got it.

My laptop backup is a HP of 4 years, I've had it for 4 years, its fell several times, used and abused still underway! I just had to level of ram and hard drive. But, this Toshiba! She was so beautiful when I saw him!

I have never dropped it, never spilled something on it, so why she put me through that stress at a bad time?

A bad time because even if I'm under warranty, I'm leaving on vacation in 2 days! I need it, I'm not trying to take my old HP that came out in 2008.

I can't afford to send my Toshiba for 2 weeks, not immediately.

Today, my anti-virus software was his typical scheduled scan, I didn't charge the laptop, because I was out of work, so when I leave the laptop gets used more and charged additionally. I look at the laptop and its judgment, I just thought, O... my battery died, I would plug in the adapter and do some reading. Nothing good happened. 8 hours later, I worked on it for more than 8 hours, I searched all over google, many forums, none of the following solutions worked for me.

Disconnect the battery and press power for 30 seconds
Unplug the adapter and press power for 30 seconds
Disconnect the battery and the adapter and press power for 30 seconds

(of course after the 30 sec thing, I tried turns on normally, with or without battery and power adapter).

I pulled the little battery round, hard drive, memory sticks (even changed the 2 around and I tried each one solo) I tried without any ram. I unplugged all the excess material, the only extra things I had was my usb mouse, but I unplugged that, even pulled the CD-ROM drive.

I removed all water-cooling, open the laptop to see if I saw something a coward, I don't see anything, the part where the adapter will seem a little loose, but it seems to go all the way and fine. I pushed hard and still nothing.

One thing I will say... I read at least 8 other fairly new poster of Toshiba satellite owners with similar problems of their laptop does not turn on. This isn't a good glance, since this is the first product of Toshiba, that I bought it and it costs $500 more than my acer laptop which gave me no problem in my 15 months of owning...
I'm not belittling Toshiba immediately, this problem might be a small question (I hope), I could be my fault, so I'm not belittling Toshiba again because I like a lot about this laptop, especially the graphics!

Return to this topic after watching the discussions of people with similar problems, I noticed, nobody had the same exact problem I'm having. See most of the threads I have read, people would still get the orange light when the battery has been driven. I ONLY get the orange light when the battery is in the laptop. I try and power without the battery and nothing happens, no light flashes. Many other people were always other color lights or lights in different locations, my only light flashes 5 times, the second place left and is orange.

The only light that blinked in the last 8 hours is the second light from the left (I think it's the power light) and it flashes orange or maybe its red light... but when I press the power (I tried holding, tapping, etc...) that the orange light blinks 5 times and stops, nothing happens I don't hear any readers of spinning, everything is just dead.

Thanks for the time and help!

    Hi a8000

Looks like you already tried all possible solutions
The flashing light indicates that there is a possible hardware failure, but it is not possible to say what part is malfunctioning, it might be the motherboard
However, the guarantee seems to be valid so don t waste time and report it to the service provider in your country, they should solve this Toshiba!

  • My battery does not charge even when it is plugged and my orange light blinks when it is plugged.

My cord broke first, then I got the exact cord to fit my computer. Them I got 75% battery charge, but even when it is plugged in the light to connect it to the computer itself has never been white once again, it flashes orange. Now, I'm down to 2% and I tried to load it. It will not be loaded. I tried to take the battery out and just have it is plugged in, but still it flashes orange. Not white as before. What could be wrong?

The battery? Batteries will you know. Tried to contact the Office of support for your laptop brand?

  • Sat Pro 6100: The orange light blinks

    GDay guys,.

Thursday, it was the last day of school.
In the last lesson of the day, I used the laptop to play games (Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, 1, 6 GHz) when the Bell went. I tried to stop in time, however running in battery mode, she went up to 1 ghz and has been quite slow, closing the game so I immediately turned it off by holding the button for a few seconds.

I put it in my new computer case belkin which offers a thick foam padding and went home by bus. When I finally got it, I plugged the laptop and tried to boot the system. The screen didn't work for some reason, so I tried the key light several times without success. Reset the computer several times, still nothing. I was wondering if it was the hard drive of the stopping is not correctly earlier this day here but I could always blindly log windows. It me intrigued as to why the screen wasn't on. I presume that a cable was loose so I removed the keyboard and checked the cables on the graphics card. They were fine. Put the keyboard back on and tried to start the laptop.

The flashing yellow light has shone in its ugly glory. Something was wrong. I left the cell only and got the father, who is an electrical engineer to check on the laptop for all things obvious which could cause this problem. Dad couldn't see anything.

Before, I read a post on the resettlement of the graphics card can work so I reinstalled the graphics card and tried to boot the system. Still nothing!

    What the hell is happening?

I read these support forums and find a post on how you can charge the battery, start etc and try it and watnot, but it still fails. When I remove the battery and exit onto the adapter and replace the AC adapter in, a green light that shines above its power light shines. When I put the battery in again, a yellow light shines above the stack, however as soon as I press the power button, everything shuts off and the yellow led shines above the logo of ac power...

Any ideas as to what may cause this problem and how can I solve this problem?

    -Well done guys!

    Hello

Littco is right. You must contact the partner in your country. On this way is really not easy to say what can be the problem, but I guess Hat there is a problem with the electronic control gear and you will not be able to repair only. Check it please this page

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true

and there you can find a list of aspic in your country.

  • my ipod does not turn. When I put on his orange light continues to blink.

My Ipod shuffle is not coming. When I put on the pricing still show the orange light flashing continuously.

Flashing light (by itself) does not indicate that a problem.  Blinking light means "do not disconnect - eject the iPod before disconnecting."  It shows there is a connection between the shuffle and computer data.

Are you using a Mac or a Windows PC?  If Windows, which version (including 32-bit or 64-bit)?

My Ipod shuffle is not coming.

Don't know what that means...  The shuffle appears in iTunes when you connect?

  • Portege Z930 - 14L - DC orange led blinks 8 times and green ECO light led

    Portege Z930 - 14L. I can't boot from the last power since.
The domain controller in the orange Led blinks 8 times and eco green light led is lit.

DC IN flashing ornage indicator indicates a problem with the power supply. Initially, you should try plug the adapter HAVE an another power outlet. If she does still not work, you should contact Toshiba ASP (authorized service provider)

Electronic supply on the motherboard is probably the problem.

  • I just bought an Airport Extreme and try to put in place.  I have Fios cable with a router.  I can not get anything except a blinking orange light.  After reading the instructions, it seems that the problem with the ethernet cable but I

Must not exceed the flashing orange light.  have tried three ethernet cables to the Fios router.  All thoughts

What extreme version do you have?

Test the cables connecting the airport to your Mac with them and see if the ethernet works on Mac. Green connectivity light should go... If it fails, then the AE died.

Please do a factory reset, then try again.

Sometimes Mac airport utility works well... If you have the preference or iphone ipad, download and use iOS version airport utility and try it for configuration... It is much less awkward.

  • Fixing orange light flashing on Airport

I use an Airport Extreme Base Station for a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.11.5 and the yellow LED flashes. So far I'm not having any problem, but I don't want to suddenly have a problem when I REALLY need an internet connection. I found a thread of community Apple earlier that said to download the latest version of Airport utility software. However, when I down load 6.3.1 which was the latest version that I could find, I was told that it was not compatible with my OSX. All of the suggestions.

The MacBook Pro running 10.11.5 already has the latest version of installed AirPort Utility, which is 6.3.6,, so don't worry about this.  You can check if you like... it just open AirPort Utility and click the AirPort Utility menu in the upper left corner of the screen next to the Apple icon. Then, click on about AirPort Utility to display the version number.

The yellow light blinks because your AirPort Extreme has a message for you. To find out what it might be...

Open AirPort Utility and click on the image of the AirPort Extreme

In the window that appears, you see a button update?  If you do, then there is an update of the firmware for your AirPort Extreme. Click Update to install the firmware if you have the most current firmware for your airport.

If you don't see a button not update, then search for a list of status and click on the little orange dot it for more information on what could be the issue and one suggestion to remedy what the airport is whining.

  • Portege M300: orange light flashes after spill coffee on the keyboard

My friend got a M300 and hes recently was smart enough to reverse half a cup of coffee on his laptop keyboard. The first thing is that the laptop power not on at all even when plugged so it might be possible to defects. The weird thing is that the orange light for the socket ((deuxieme left) continues to blink slowly to me - any ideas on what this could mean?

I havn't tried to clean the keyboard yet due to lack of a small enough screwdriver to unscrew, but because the laptop does not in any case, I think that the problem may be bigger than that. Is that what I can do with him or is it just a case of having to buy a new computer laptop coffee becaue is not covered by the warranty lol

Any help would be appreciated, thanks J

    Hello

    I agree with Miro.
The must be something wrong with the hardware. Code bilking isn't always the same. The orange light flashes different for different dysfunctions.
The Toshiba service partner can read this code and then can give you a good answer on the blackout.

  • Power light blinking XPS 8900

I bought my XPS8900 a few weeks ago and immediately upgraded the memory up to 32 GB.

Everything worked fine, but then I decided to upgrade the video card to an EVGA GeForce GTX970 SSC.

This card requires a 6 and a power connector 8 pin that does not provide the power supply Dell stock. So rather that to return the video card, I have improved the power supply to a Corsair CX750M, I've read that other XPS8900 users have had success with this machine.

As others have pointed out, this PSU is a tight fit, but I could get installed it. As soon as I turned on, my trouble started.

The case and CPU fans spin, I hear the rotation of the drive upward, and I can open and close the dvd tray. So I know that the power supply provides at least a power. But I get no video, and on the top of the box, the power LED flashes amber model.

I tried to go back to the video card and power supply dell stock, but still have exactly the same problem.

I also tried unplugging the power cable and power for 30 seconds button. But still, the power light flashes orange model.

I know there is no beep codes for the 8900 XPS and the sequence of flashing orange light power is used to diagnose the problem, but I was not able to locate any reference to indicate trends.

The power light blinks a 2-7 model and repeats.

    Anyone know what this means?

    Follow-up:

I had ripped all with no luck. Well, everything except the improved memory. He had worked, so I don't think that it would be necessary to remove it. But I was wrong.

I went back to the memory of stock and the blinking orange light problem disappeared!

Then I reinstalled the new memory, and it worked too!

So I guess it was just that the memory should be seen.

Not sure if the model of 2-7 means 'Question' memory, but this would be my guess.

Since the 8900 XPS does not support beep codes, I hope that Dell will eventually publish what mean flashing light patterns.

  • impossible to connect or reset orange light flashing

I read 100 amber streetlights, but have not met my situation at the moment.

Flashing orange light on my 1470 time capsule.

It does not connect to utility

It will not be reset in any shape

It has been cleaned, its is not overheated, it has a lit solid when modem connection.

I read the possible motives of questions but no connection I can't even help out at this stage.

    Very expensive paperweight?

    Thank you

    Matt

Have you tried to use the reset on the back? I believe that the orange light is a configuration problem - I get on mine when the network has changed and there is a configuration problem.

I used a soft reset, which resets the SSID or connects via a cable, and then allows me to run the utility to reset the configuration.

  • MacBook Pro (2014) does not charge despite an orange light when plugged

    Hello

So my 2 year old Macbook Pro (retina) does not load when it is plugged in - spite, projecting the orange light. I have a battery (20%) and it is reduced whenever I use it and will be soon drained.

Some of the things I've tried

-Reset SMC - tried but no change after

-When I use the mac when it is plugged in the battery icon in the top bar done see the support - but there is no increase in % of the battery. Continuous use it starts to fall.

-During use (and what battery is plugged) - I checked the report system (about this Mac section) - in the energy sector - it is said does not charge (despite being connected, the orange light and the symbol in the top bar)

What do you think guys that it is? MLB? Battery?

What I have to replace or can it be fixed?

If you have the Apple store, take the machine evaluation.  There is no charge for this, but you need an appointment.   The first thing I would check would be the cable.  You have another machine to test this with.

  • I have a solid orange light on airport extreme but everything is fully functional, suggestions?  I have reset it.  Thanks in advance.

I have a solid orange light, but my base station is fully functional.  I have reset the modem, the base station and in airport utility.  Airport utility shows no problem so I don't know what to do now.  Any advice would be great, thank you in advance.

Is this new? If this is not the case, is what model?

A fixed orange should be a serious error condition. Looks like it was just connected wrongly and the LED is upside down.

It changes colour during the start cycle?

If it is in the care of warranty or apple take it back to apple for replacement. There is nothing you can do about it.

  • My Airport express has had a solid orange light for a week. How can I fix this?

My Airport express has had a fixed Orange light on in for about a week. When I click on it it says "it was part of my network" and to "ensure that it is still in the range and plugged in an outlet."  I tried this - does not change. I unplugged the main base station and then plugged it in. It also did not work.

My operating system is OS X 10.9.5

    Thanks for any help.

Sorry, but you can't 'fix' it. A status LED light amber solid that would indicate a power or another failure of the base station. There is no serviceable parts by the user, that you can replace.

If the product is less than 1 year, Apple will replace the unit for you... or... If you have AppleCare implemented on a registered product, the AirPort base station is covered up to 3 years from the date of purchase.

If you have an Apple Store near you, take the base station for them. Otherwise, contact the Apple directly to http://www.apple.com/support/contact/ Support
