Bad operating system has been installed. How can this be corrected?
Hello. My uncle recently gave me her computer. He told me that he had somehow crashed his computer and reinstalled a new operating system. The problem is, he has installed an operating system for a Dell Windows XP. More than half of nothing works now, no wonder... In addition, this new operating system must be activated. It doesn't have the disk, he used or a product key the same unlock his computer. Could I download the correct operating system on a flash drive or burn the disc myself? Thank you for all your comments.

installs Windows is no longer permitted
Hi, my sons computer crashed several times due to hardware problems. It resulted in windows being installed several times. He just had a disk crash and after installing a new disk, windows indicate that the key has been used repeatedly, not allowing an installation again. How can I fix it?
Use the Activate by phone and speak to a live operator.
Activate by phoneClick the Start button
in the search box, type
SLUI 4
and press the Enter key
Follow the instructions - but when asked which service you need the ansafone phone, don't answer - it should oblige the operator to answer, who can deal with you. -

My work PC operating system has been recently updated from Windows XP to Windows 7. An older version of Adobe Acrobat (standard 7) has been installed and reinstalled once the update has been done. I registered it again online but everytime I open an Adobe Acrobat file, a message appears that I need to register even if it is already registered. What can I do to stop this?
Hello
Acrobat 7 is not supported and an older version of Acrobat.
Also, it is not compatible with Windows 7.
This could be the reason why you are faced with it.

Is there a simple way to determine if an operating system has been virtualized?
Is there a simple way to inspect a linux system, perhaps by a hook / proc, to determine if an operating system has been virtualized? More multi-vendor is the solution, the better. I don't know that I could grep through my table and system process for various metrics file, but I need something very stable, well known, and Boolean. (This question has overcome my google skills as it is too vague for the sentence)
Hello
Yes, it is called red pill and you can watch the material using the command lspci or RedPill to determine more information.

I need to replace 564XL ink cartridges for my printer HP Photosmart E Station, after using it for very short periods.
I do not use the printer often, as it is only for domestic use. Replacement of the ink, became very expensive. How can this problem be corected?
You can change the print settings on the scale of gray and the quality of the project from normal to reduce ink consumption. Page 36 of the user manual shows how to change the print settings in the solution Center. Ink is also used by the printer for other tasks beyond printing. It is also used to clean and maintain the printhead. The time between jobs sent to the printer can actually too affect ink levels. Here a link to a document on the use of ink in the printer. It will cover the different factors that can affect more accurate printing ink levels. I hope this helps.

Windows vista installation
my computer has been repaired and reinstalled with a non-genuine version of the window. I have now the true window vista but I don't know how to do in this regard.
I just insert the disk and follow the instructions?
Hello
You need to change the Boot order to make the CD/DVD drive 1st in the boot order, then restart with the Vista DVD in the drive and follow the instructions.

Reinstalling windows 7 after re-start of windows xp
I bought my Asus computer came with windows 7 installed, earlier this year, I encountered a problem with the blue screen to come and I was unable to fix it, when I had my computer repaired they changed the operating system to windows xp, I was wondering if with registration # or whatever is on the side if I could download and reinstall Windows 7
If the product key on the side of your machine is for Windows 7 and where-ever you guessed it "repaired" installed Windows XP - the real question becomes where they got a product key for Windows XP?
You have the installation media for the copy of Windows 7 OEM which is preinstalled on your computer?
If not - you will probably need to contact Asus (this laptop?) over media restore and/or check to see if the "repair" left any which restoration method should have been used intact.

Two operating systems on my Dell; How can I now run Vista?
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 s. He has XP and Vista (I think; Windows Vista sticker on the front of the PC and Vista Ultimate OEM sticker on the top with a 20-digit product key. Reference called Dell and they said I should have a drive with the system Vista on it. Can find looked at her top and bottom with no.. Is there a way I can get a DL of Vista with product key without having to pay (again)?
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Had bad language Win 7 Pro installed, how can I change
I had a computer built for my mother and clicked to have Win 7 Pro 64-bit installed. We don't speak Spanish so this computer is basically useless for us. The company that built the system and installed the operating system says that I can not get the OS exchanged once it is installed. So, how can I get a pack of English language installed on this box in order to make it relevant to my mother?
@TFSole: See...
Windows 7 language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 7 ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise

Replacing hard drive and Windows 7 has been installed now can not activate
Original title: WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE
Had to replace the hard drive on my desktop. A Windows Vista. Came back with Windows 7 Ultimate installed. Now I can't turn it on. As of just put Windows Vista on.Hello
Here are the different methods to reinstall Vista. You cannot use the recovery Partition method because it should be replaced by the installation of Windows 7...
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
