Balanced Slatebook options &; Prism Power
Hello
Under settings/battery, there is this check option (select the balanced power).
I initially thought that was related to the power consumption of the other of the two batteries, but it seems that it is not bound.
Under settings/display another option of also saving Prism.
The user guide says nothing.
So anyone knows what effects is supposed to have these options checked or not?
Thank you
Daifex
I hope that the following explanations will help you with your request.
Allowing the balanced diet is intended for users who set their brightness manually and want the tablet to do for them. Think of it as the auto brightness.
PRISM power saving mode extends the life of the battery by the backlight according to what is displayed on the screen inside mirror smart. For the most part according to what is on your screen will determine how bright the backlight on the screen.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to re-post.

Why Dell has paralyzed the Panel advanced configuration options of power on the venue Pro 8?
Reference paralyzed Dell Control Panel advanced configuration options of power on the venue Pro 8.
Dell must provide a patch restores full power plan setting up advanced features of Windows.
Adding a new default Dell Windows power plan doesn't bother me, but they must not paralyze the Panel Windows distribution, power options, or remove the standard Windows power management.
That has something to do with the sleep settings connected / configuration Microsoft / Dell are doing on these units. It is the same for versions place 11 MS Pro. units of vPro are different because no standby connected supports. With Eve logged onto the available settings are limited to what would not interfere with it. If you would change settings (e.g., SSD or Wifi Powermanagement Disabled) issues as sleep function in the process of disappearance and others. Microsoft also has requirements to be connected certified standby.
Again, not 100% sure if it's MS or Dell do but my guess would be Microsoft because I saw the same thing with different units.
If you turn off the connected Eve all Windows power plans are displayed and all the advanced features of power are available.Use the command Regedit and change the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
Change the value for the key CsEnabled from 1 to 0 and reboot.
1 means connected off standby active and 0.
Try it and see if it solves your problem.BTW: by disabling the connected standby battery also will show the time remaining not only the percentage of battery life. :-)

Please add the option of power/link to download new pdfs with editing in the browser. I have a restaurant customer who is constantly updating their menu! Please help so that they can do it themselves!
Not the answer you want, but you could set up your quick customer with an ftp upload which would replace the existing pdf. I use Transmit and it would allow your customer to simply drag and drop on a folder.

Deploy a Virtual Machine (Sched Task Wizard) no long has option to power on VM?
Hi, as the title suggests of thread - I can't find the option to power on the virtual machine after deployment, where is she?
You are right. In vCenter4 a scheduled task does you not option when deploying a new virtual machine to power on the virtual machine. The virtual machine does not deploy, but you will have to manually turn
Sounds like a feature request for me, in fact it's weird.

Is there anyway to manually allow access or something of if I can change all the power options, because windows is to be prudish, I have some problems with 7 demanding that I need to be an administrator to perform certain actions when I did that the account on the laptop before, generally, it's very well after a day or two , but this problem has persisted for a week or two.
EDIT: after looking through all the power options that it is only the "power buttons and lid" section that I'm unable to change, that I am wanting to change the hibernation options, except closing the lid during a ca, who were going to turn off the screen.Make sure you have no management utility of the power of the machine to a PC running. Your symptoms resembles those to have the utility Samsung "Fast start" running - find on the start menu, all programs & open, and then click the Disable setting [or simply uninstall it as it doesn't do anything for you that you can't do it yourself].
There is a utility of same useless in many PC Sony, but I don't know his name. Browse all all programs with Sony records in their title. Read the manual or check on their Web site.

NB200 122 - loading using the battery power options
Dear all
I recently bought a Toshiba NB 200-122 Mini Netbook, I tried to use all the power options (full power)... always shows 15% battery (charge) even if I kept it charging for a day in hibernation mode... (when connected to the power unit).
Other laptops would be fully load 100% when it is connected to the unit of power for one day...
Why the netbook battery is slow or not clean load?...
Or other options with her... Or having to drain the battery completely and use it...Could someone suggest me some advice about this...
Thank you
regards Sarah
Hi Sarah,.
I agree with the user above. You should try a BIOS update you can find the Toshiba site. Before applying it, close all programs running also your antivirus and firewall and make sure that you are logged on as administrator.
In the worst case you battery is damaged or some cells in it. You can get a spare to an authorized service provider.

Bluetooth monitor - power option grayed out
I just got a laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-163 and trying to set up bluetooth.
It came with XP Home installed, but I formatted and installed xp professional.
I had to install drivers manually and got most sorting
There is always the network left of network controller in the Device Manager I have a feeling is the bluetooth because its nowhere else in Device Manager
I have problems turning on bluetooth - I installed the bluetooth stack and bluetooth monitor
Bluetooth monitor is in the taskbar - I right click on it and an option is a wireless link which does not seem to do anything. There is an option to power on and off, but the two are grayed out
any ideas? I've rebooted etc.
Thank you
Hello
A simple answer: you cannot use the Bluetooth because the Bluetooth device is not available on the Satellite A100-163.

Sleep icon does not appear in the power options
I just closed the lid of my Lenovo ThinkPad T460s only once but since then I can't see "sleep" icon under options of 'power' to the main screen. How can I see the icon of sleep again?
Hello
The reason why sleep does not appear in the power options is your Intel graphics card.
Please try to disable Intel graphics in the Device Manager and turn it back on.
If it still shows yellow bang, try to download the latest Intel graphics driver from Lenovo site.
I hope this information helps.

Power Options and reset randomly sleep mode settings.
It turns out that windows 7 will change ALL its parameters of power in itself! I'll let him sleep a few nights, come home and wake up... only to see my login screen. (I have the normally disabled option in power options). But all my work is always there, so the machine does not restart (or turn off and just resume hybrids) is for sure in s3. Power options check and everything is set crazy, not all back to the default values for either.
I'm running Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium. This becomes extremely annoying to say the least... Can settle us this?
~ MG ~.
* Edit * I wanted to add that what happens on 4 computers in my friends home even. 2 desktop and 2 laptop computers and all are supported by a Windows Home Server all running windows 7 x 64 home.
Thank you dewbert I've found that if I go to the command prompt by using 'powercfg' I was able to turn off all the power settings (I like mine to be always running until I want to turn off without exception) I disabled standby, hibernation and set to never turn off monitor and several other parameters. Here is a link to these parameters and so far no more problem.

was one of the first things I did with my pc to get rid of norton delivered pre-installed (bitdefender I don't know) and use microshaft security essentials (mse) with no problem more his light and does all these pop-ups as avira and others. also, I went to the ms updates and set it to download, but let me decide when to install and for updates of device, I put that let me decide because I had that feature really get in the way to install things like the new graphics drivers, kept dang thing beat me to the punch!

Power Windows - disable the display - HDMI options do not save energy
I recently bought a BenQ GL2760H has two inputs HDMI/VGA/DVI monitor. I have a Dell with Windows 7 desktop computer that has an Intel graphics card integrated with just the outputs HDMI and VGA. I also have a "Kill A Watt" device that tells me how many watts came out of an electronic device. When I plug the monitor up to the computer using HDMI it uses 14 watts (I use a power saving on the monitor), but when the Windows power options of economy to turn off the monitor, even if the screen goes black, I can still see a low glow, so I know that the lights are still on. And the monitor uses now 15 watts while displaying nothing.
If I connect the monitor to the computer using a VGA cable then it uses 14 watts, and what power-saving options turn off the monitor it then uses 0 watts. That's what's supposed to happen. I would use the HDMI cable, but I don't want to use no energy so that in power saving mode.
What is a regular problem with HDMI? Or would it be a problem with the monitor or windows or chipset intel?
Well, I answered my own question. I've updated the Intel HD Graphics driver 4600 for windows and now during options Windows power saving off the screen when connected to HDMI, energy drops to 0 Watt and oscillates between 1 and 0 watts. Not as good as watts 0 all the time with VGA, but much better that what he was doing on front HDMI I have updated the driver.

There are many Options of power that are difficult to understand. I tried to find answers in the help, but there were many that I couldn't find.
What is "slide show"?
What is "the USB selective suspend setting?
What is "PCI Express" and "Link State Power Management"?
What is "the Minimum processor state"?
What is 'cooling system strategy?
What is "the Maximum processor state"?
What is 'Java script timer frequency?
What is 'reserve battery level?
I have references for these or whatever the answers may be provided.
Note - 04/03/13:
Here is the reference to the "other matter" I had on power options, as mentioned in one of the positions below:
MS documents I gave you links to your other question of answers to these questions.
Useful reserve battery level settings would need more explanation.
