  • Parental Controls 10.6.8 - not allowing specified websites

Hello!  I set up parental controls to 'Allow access only to those sites' and the system is blocking some Web sites, I have authorized (e.g., khanacademy.org and weather.com).  How is it?  Is it possible to fix it?

    Thank you

    Dawn

Weather.com is stuffed with ads, and probably blocking is due to advertising websites on their site.  Go to http://www.weather.gov which is much more accurate and no advertising.

Yes, why not take a look at EverWeb.  It has been designed to be very like iWeb, but with everything you wanted iWeb joined, as a form of contact, drop-down menus etc and much more.

The layout is very similar to iWeb, and it was deliberately designed to be - have a look here EverWeb.

    How can I unlock it?

Hi, please see under the permissions tab and check the setting of the Flash - Page Info window - see technical details on the page you.

If you are using an adblocker as Adblock Plus, also look at options/filter preferences.

Either way, you have several version of Shockwave Flash - the oldest should be deleted - How to uninstall the Flash if necessary.

This problem may be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox > Preferences > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

A detail as a website to remember you (automatically log you) is stored in a cookie.

You can use these steps to make a Web site recognize and remember you:

    • Create a cookie 'allow' except to keep these cookies, in particular in the case of secure websites and when the cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
    • Tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

In case you use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' or otherwise to clear the history.

    • do not delete Cookies
    • do not delete Site preferences
    • Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, installation of software, passwords, and other specific data from Web site.
    • Deletion of Cookies will delete all selected cookies, including cookies with an exception to allow that you want to keep.

What security software do you have?

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or limit Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    See:

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) to see if that helps.

    BlockSite {web link}

  • Why is the video from popular websites (for example Weather Channel) blocked on my Firefox?

I recently downloaded Firefox on a PC, it is my default browser, and everything worked fine. I added extensions including Ghostery and add block more that work very well on my other browsers and I think on Firefox for a while. Now I can't get the video to work on popular websites (e.g., the Weather Channel), even if I disable Ghostery and add block more that I don't think that is the problem anyway. So I messed up something. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

A frequent cause of script errors does not work on sites that use Flash is the feature of mode of the Flash player plugin. This feature has the security benefits, but it seems to have serious compatibility problems on some systems. You can disable it using the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. On the right side, find 'Shockwave Flash' and click on the link for more. Then uncheck the box for "Enable Adobe Flash protected mode" and try it for a day to see if that helps you.

The Cowboys site certainly uses Flash. Do you get the commercial of the pre-roll for Dallas advertising or no video at all?

I was trying to sign up for an account online to a local medical lab. It came as untrustworthy and asked if I wanted to go come and go on the website and replace the protection. I thought it was strange for a medical laboratory. After accepting the replacement I realized that I was not entered the address of the Web site correctly. I want the wrong site would not be allowed on my computer. Please help me to not approved.

So when you open your home page, you must have a toolbar main above the page that displays the address of the page on the internet, is something something or xfinity comcast and bunch of icons. On the right end of the toolbar, locate the menu button, which has 3 horizontal bars. Alternatively, you can press the ALT key to activate the classic menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc.).

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

In the Advanced section in the Options page, click on mini - Certificates tab, click the view certificates"" button. That should open the Certificate Manager dialog box. Click on mini - servers tab and you should be able to find specific exceptions to the server that you have added.

I think I just took more than 100 words say what cor - el said in 10 words, but hopefully this will give you enough context to find.
