Banner logo looks fine in FF but not in IE

Hi, not sure if the fix is for this but the model on this site is fine in FF, but the logo is out of position in Internet Explorer. I'm not sure whether a correction of css or something IE rule.

Thank you

You have a few errors in your html code. They "should not" cause no problem, but you must clean them anyway. Run your page through the validator here:http://validator.w3.org for the list.

I am betting that your IE has a width smaller than Firefox window?

Your logo bursts the container

on narrow windows. What do you see?

EDIT: If this is the problem you see, it can be fixed pretty easily. Without changing anything else, adding a min-width for your div #container should fix. In your css AC file, change...

#container {}

margin: 15px 60px banner automatic;

Width: 60%;

padding: 10px;

background-color: #000000;

color: #ffffff;

border: 1px solid #ffffff;

}

TO

#container {}

margin: 15px 60px banner automatic;

Width: 60%;

padding: 10px;

background-color: #000000;

color: #ffffff;

border: 1px solid #ffffff;

min-width: 750px;

}

If the external border may not collapse after the logo

  • Vector PDF looks fine in drive but not in Illustrator

    I use a software engineering (surfer) to generate a map of contours of the United States showing the solar radiation.  The graphics people asked me to give them a vector image which could be changed in Illustrator, so I created a vector PDF.  The image looks fine in the free Adobe Reader, but some of the edges are not visible in Illustrator.  Someone has a similar problem?  Should I change some settings in Illustrator?

    Your paths include a large number of anchor points, and I suppose that you exceed the limits of the Illustrator.

    Your "simplified" file contains 659 roads a total of 292 527 points.

    Are there settings in your engineering program that would create more simple paths?

  • Fine in Chrome, but not on IE11

    I'm running into a problem where the composition works great in Chrome but does not work in Internet Explorer (version 11).

    I have an EA composition that contains 3 layers:

    1. the image of a tape measure.

    2. a shape (triangle)

    3. a textfield

    When the user is dragging the triangle in the X axis (I use jquery for this) and stops the operation slide, I want to assess where they "point" the triangle with respect to the marks on the tape measure. And, if the triangle is between # and # x so I write this measure to the TextField. This works fine in Chrome, but not in Internet Explorer.

  • Toshiba Satellite A665D-S5175... wireless works fine on AC, but not on battery

    Satellite A665D-S5175... I loaded windows 8 preview... I was really in LOVE... Afterwards, I had to reformat back to the original "out of the box" due to windows 8 not to recognize seagate hard drive (even if the compatibility check does not list)... Since then my wireless internet works fine when on the current but will not work on battery... my battery works fine and wireless works fine on all my other wireless devices... can't help but to think it's some type option to power supply but I can't find it to save my life... Help! Toshiba wants to much $$ to ask me this? their staff... I don't HAVE a big $$$ LOL! Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this...

    Hello

    Change the power setting on default battery for the wireless network adapter. Configure the wireless network adapter to use the maximum performance setting when Windows Vista or Windows 7 is configured to use the balanced power plan or the power saver Power plan. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. click on start
    2 type Power Options in the start search box, and then click Power Options in the list programs.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    3. click on change settings for the plan under the management of the diet that is selected. For example, if the balance is selected, click on change settings under balanced plan.
    4. click on change advanced power settings.
    5. in the Power Options dialog box, expand wireless adapter settings, and then power saving Mode.
    6. in the list that appears next to a pile, click performance, and then click OK.
    For more information, see the link.
    You may experience connectivity problems or performance issues when you connect a portable computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows 7 to a wireless access point

  • colors look fine in photoshop but poor in windows Viewer?

    This problem is about how the colors in my images appear different once I processed them through Lr and PS. This happens both on my screen and my tablet.

    When I import images from an sd camera card in Lr, the colors look quite good on my monitor.  Almost the same as when I import images live map through the windows and discovered through the windows Viewer

    When I export the image of the Lr to Ps colors look always good.

    When I flatten the layers and save as a jpeg file they look always good in Ps, but when I leave the Ps and I discovered the image stored in the windows Viewer the colors look washed out and more cold.

    Can you help me with this?

    Here's the thing, chris: most of the applications (web browsers, file browser, image viewers) consumer-oriented have or not support color management. To display correctly in these applications, the files must be in the sRGB color space, because most of the monitors are already quite close to sRGB natively. In this way, the file can be given directly to the screen and pretty much right display. It is the standard 'infallible' mode.

    But exports of default Lightroom in ProPhoto, a much larger space synthetic color that contains many more colors that can be displayed on the screen. To view correctly, this must be remapped in the color space of the monitor. Lightroom and Photoshop this automatically. It's the color management.

    If you view a ProPhoto file in an application without color management, the result is a very drab and dull picture, far from what it is supposed to look like. That's what you see in your other file viewers. Same thing for Adobe RGB, only slightly less extreme.

    Always convert to sRGB in Photoshop, or export to sRGB in Lightroom. Then they will display correctly in all applications that are not color management.

    In Photoshop, use him edit > convert to profile option. Your workspace has no impact on this point, it's just a failure to rescue. BTW, the Elements option "optimize for computer screen" simply means that sRGB. That's what you get for dumbing down, there is no way to know what it really means.

  • The file name looks like has changed, but not really

    I have several video files, I created and then changed the name of. The name seems to change in the finder, BUT when I open in VLC or drop it into itunes it shows the original name.

    There must be another place, the name is stored (in the file?)

    Any help?

    There is a title within the video file.  When creating, this is the same as the name of the file, but change the name of the file will not change anything inside the file.

    To change the title, right click on the file in iTunes, select "Get Info", change the title in the Details tab, and then click OK.

  • SWF works fine in IE but not in the QT COM flash drive

    Hi all

    I am writing a QT application that needs to display a SWF file. I finished and tried to display an example of SWF (a.swf) file downloaded from the internet and the result was OK.

    Now, I started writing my own SWF (b.swf) using ActionScript 3 file and compiled with MXMLC. But b.swf couldn't be displayed in my QT application.

    What is strange, is that both a.swf b.swf could be displayed in IE.

    Could anyone guess what the reason would be, please?  Thanks in advance.

    Problem solved. What happened was that my image was not large enough to be seen in a small window, so it seems as if the image did not load at all.
