  Hi all I have a basic sql question
  Watch below two querries
  

  1.  select 1 from dual where 1 in (select 1 from dual union all select null from dual) 
  
  It gives output  as 1
  
  but below one 
  
  2.   select 1 from dual where 1 not in  (select 2 from dual union all select null from dual)
  
  It gives output as no data found 

  I think as operator will not compare with all the values, but not the outcome it will compare with all values... When comparing with the value null, the result is automatically null
  
  I'm wrong
  Please help me on this
  
  and why performance wise in operator is more better than no of?

• Basic PCMCIA question: where is the controller?

  Hello people,

  I have a basic question of the PCMCIA:

  The PCMCIA controller is integrated on the motherboard or does the PCMCIA device?

  Practicality: if I want to change the PCMCIA in a laptop, I can change everything (part mechanical + electronic) or simply the mechanical part?

  I have a mono-emplacement controller, and I would have a dual slot PCMCIA. If the controller is on the motherboard, I have no chance of success.

  The controller is on the motherboard. Pcmcia slot unit is removable, as stated above, but it's just a cage to hold the cards... no chip is in it other than a plug-in interface on the motherboard which channels to the pcmcia controller.

• Vista Home Basic Imaging

  My school has 20 Vista Home Basic Dell computers.  We have used for about a year and would now have a standard installation, config and the office.  Can I use a product like Acronis, Ghost, fog, or Clonzilla to get a standard image for these computers?  When I asked other forums, I'm mixing response.  Some say that you can not image Vista Home Basic... It is only the company o / s that can be photographed.  Is this correct?

• Basic image size problem

  Seems I have lost a few basics about the sizes of the image.

  When I create a new image, I want image must be made up of centimeters, not pixel, because the pixels do not tell me anything of the physical size of the future picture. So, when I do the new image to 4 x 6 cm, seems that Photoshop does not know is that a cm! So I have to manually "guess" how pixels are there a cm in order to make this cm as real as a 'leader of real life".

  I am sure that this problem has been asked several times, but I have not found the exact type. I know that Photoshop does not know how many pixels my LCD has, that's why he asks on pixels per inch or pixels per cm in order to create a picture.

  I would have this problem solved somehow, so that when I create a data mm image into a square, Photoshop CS would know the pixels in my monitor and I would not guess pixels...

  Take a look at the document I linked in the previous post.

  The virtual network is based on vSwitch which are "dummy" brigde.

  So has each VM's own MAC address (which is virtual and the part of the seller is dedicated to VMware).

  A physical NETWORK card is simply an uplink to the physical switch and the physical MAC address is generally not used and not visible in your network traffic or your ARP table (think a unmaged switch, it can have a MAC address, but you don't see it on your network).

  When you have several (more than one bear on a vSwitch) uplink you can have different types of team policy.

  (For you is probably the simplest to understand) is like the etherchannel on Cisco switches (and it takes a good configuration of the physical switch).

• LOOK for iOS: icons & launch Image question

  Start the Image:

  AIR was so changed since I used it the last time, I can't really know anything, the documentation is a little confusing for me. Could someone of you please answer my question? For some, it would be fairly simple.

  When I copied the final .ipa file to my iPad 2, and its launch image appeared in Portrait mode! So, I'm totally confused that how many launch I provide images and what should be their names? I use Flash Professional CC to publish, I have included images of launch in publication settings, so is there any order I must follow or order in the files just doesn't metter? Please keep it carefully considered that this app is only for iPads (specified in the publishing dialog box) and only works in landscape (both, left and right).

  Icons:

  I followed the above Web page and Flash Professional CC has provided these icons: 29 x 29, 48 x 48, 50 x 50, 58 x 58, 72 x 72, 100 x 100, 144 x 144 and 1024 x 1024. I know 50 x 50 icon is created by air 48 x 48, and yet I have provided it and icon 512 x 512 is only for the purpose of development, we provide manually while downloading on App Store, so I did not plan it.

  When I copied final. IPA to iTunes, iTunes doesn't show the application icon as it allows to determine the development-ipa. So, I just want confirm is that normal or I missed something?

  Finally, I copied final. IPA for my iPad 2, when I started, I noticed that first of all it show image 'launch' in portrait (as mentioned above) and then can be 1-2 seconds, the launch went image and it showed a blank (black) screen until my application has started. The black and white screen showed for 3-4 seconds. Is this normal?

  "Default.png" is a bitmap portrait for iPhone, iPhone 3 and iPhone 3GS.

  ---

  For iPad 1, 2 & Mini, you will need an image 1024 x 768 called "Default - Landscape.png.

  For the iPad 3 and 4, you will need a 2048 x 1536 "[email protected]."

  ---

  So all you have to do is to include these images in the publication of launch settings and that's all, there is no special orders and you don't require other images 'Default' than these two. This should also fix your white screen problem.

  It is normal for release builds do not show their application icon in iTunes, you will notice that when you right click and press "Get Info" on an application, you should be able to see the icon.

• Effects of basic images adding creates flicker

  I'm trying to understand why add color, or contrast automatic correction to my some of my clips is originally they flicker. It is not a coherent flicker no longer, but randomly.

  The affected images is 720 p at 29.97 FPS on a timeline with the same settings. The raw images seems in good condition. Once the effects are added, the picture stutters. I visited the preview files and the question remains the same, even during the export.

  Any thoughts on why this can be intervened?

  Try to stay away from filters 'auto '. They tend to cause this problem.

  I have a question about a background image and how to make it works on one of my sites. On this site http://www.californiasun.com/

  they use a background image that is 1920 x 1200, but it does not appear "as" big on the screen.  How do you get an image this size to fit perfectly on the screen?

  I did an image 1920 x 1200 and 3/4 of it is not displayed.

  You don't see their whole image unless your screen is larger than the image. They simply brought their background image. Here's the CSS:

• Three basic flash questions

  Hey guys,.

  I'm pretty new to Flash but I just get the hang of things. I am trying to create an interactive slideshow in flash that will not end on the web. Here are three quick questions, I currently have. Thanks for any help you can provide

  1 Let's say I have an icon of a person in my flash file, how can I make sure that when my movements over the person a thought bubble appears and when she comes out of the bubble disappears?

  2. If I have a small picture of a version of the page of a .pdf file in my flash file, how can I do so that when the page icon little .pdf is click on the .pdf file is launched?

I understand how to create a square to the text button and the refectory with its parameters to the top/bottom/more/click, but I wonder how I can do something like change the color of the text when clicked or when the mouse is on it? Right now I don't know how to change the color of the square button.

  1. If you understand what you're saying, that you do in your 3rd question, create this icon as a button and have thought as part more bubble.

  2. you create the small image as a button or a movieclip so that you can assign the code to him.  The code you assign depends on which version of actionscript will use your file, that you did not mention.

  3. If you are working with a button symbol, you probably just spend more time to play with them to understand how you can use the four frameworks.  To change the color of the text on working capital, you would have a different colored text in plus.  If you want the text to change color and stay like that when you click the button, then you will need to create the button as a movieclip.  Button symbols can be controlled in this way (exception for AS3, but it is not simple).

  The key to answer most of your questions and to learn that Flash is to play with Flash and see what works and what doesn't.  Try different tutorials as well.

• Basic Actionscript question: mouse listener ROLL OVER event

  This is a very basic question, but I can't seem to find an answer. I have a mouse over the event and have created the buttons with the mouse overs which works very well. I created the actionscript code to go to a specific web page when a user clicks the button. Now, I need to add a label to the mouse more then when someone of the mouse on any area of the button, it will show them a particular name for the button.

  I'm sure it can be done using actionscript in a mouse event run on command, but I can't understand what I need to display the text. Here is where I am:

  If you want the text to follow the mouse, you can have a movieclip that contains the textfield object is empty, and when you rollover the button, the function of turning tells that movieclip to take the x and y position of the mouse (mouseX and mouseY) and fills this movieclip with the appropriate text.  Roll off the button removes the text, making the invisible text movieclip.

  If you want the text to have a background, you could also control the visible from the movieclip property so that it appears on rolling and disappears when you deploy.

  Thus, in the reversal function, assuming that you had this ToolTip named MC... "toolTip", soimething this might work for you

  toolTip.x = mouseX;  could add a little space if you want, for example: mouseX + 5;

  toolTip.y = mouseY;

  toolTip.visible = true;

  toolTip.tField.text = 'text ';

  And implementation code to would have to deal with the last two lines.

• Watch is not the basic image copy the image gif icon and place on an html page

  Try to make an icon copy of the gif image database and place it on a basic html page.

  The image appears in my local page and shows the remote side, but when I go to view in the browser, it does not show as an image. It shows the border but no picture.

• PPT to Captivate 3: importing images question

  Hello
  
  I'm creating a Captivate project by importing a project from PowerPoint 2003. After I import them (but not in PowerPoint), some of the slides have weird pictures or words that appear. Sometimes there is a grey blob or black in the upper left corner, there is sometimes words like 'class', 'operations' and 'status' on different parts of the slide, and sometimes there are lines. I think they are something messed up in the code, but I'm not a programmer, so I don't know how to access that or fix.
  
  Has anyone ever come across anything like this? I tried to re - import the slides, but it does not work. And, sometimes, to change the images, so I can't even just wipe them and call it good.
  
  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Well, I got the PowerPoint file had a very subtle corruption which has been fixed by basically extract the contents and paste it into a new PowerPoint project. Converting to Captivate, all so very well shown.

  I have a HP dv6t with beats audio.

  I have two jacks speaker on the side, with a microphone jack. Question; Why have I not two speaker jacks, and what are the 'characteristics' that provides the Beats Audio?

  The additional is for sharing - and other games.

  Audio beats is mainly a marketing thing.  The full impact of the audio cannot be lived without some higher end equipment: headphones or external speakers that you attach to your computer.  The built-in speakers are... hmm... not a copy.  If you invest in some good speakers / headphones, beats chip will provide some audio very nice.  The controls are somewhat the same thing you would find in a pile of control.
