bat files invites still open

Stuck with confused extensions.

When .bat at the end of the file its supposed to run the file and do what is written in the code (in this case, the code in Notepad), but instead when you click on the file to run it because .bat is at the end of the file, no mater what code you put in Notepad even if you put absolutely no code in there It will open command prompt. I know there is a setting, you can change to change that, and that's how I did it out of curiosity, but I can't change this back, I guess I don't know how

  • the .c and .h files still open in CVI 9.0 even with CVI 2009 is installed

I had this problem for a while but have managed to live with her. Since I installed LabWindows/CVI 2009 my .c and .h files still open in LabWindows/CVI 9.0. all .cws, .fp, .uir and .prj files will open in 2009. I tried the files in "file types" remapping and even fiddled with the registry to try to get the .c and .h files to open with the correct version of the CVI. This has been without success.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

I found myself fixing entering into the registry and change the path to cvi.exe. He was always set the path to the executable file for CVI 9.0. That's what the types of files for .c and .h files were SEO even if I selected the executable file in 2009 of the CVI.

It seems that the path was never changed when I installed CVI 2009.

Its almost the same thing but U don't need to go into the many catalogs.

Just download the Default_BAT.reg and run it. And restart the computer, and it works again. http://www.SevenForums.com/attachments/tutorials/168956d1312706042-default-file-type-associations-restore-default_bat.reg

  • AE stopped opening cr2 and dng files, PS still works

    Hello

I have a mac book pro 16 GB OS 10.9.2 and worked over 6 months with AE and Photoshop CS6 open and work with cr2 (Canon RAW 5dmk3) and dng (magic lantern converted) files.

all right. No apparent reason (maybe any kind of update?) my AE does not recognize these files more. They appear grey and not selectable in the open/import dialog box.

I can still open them using photoshop with the well known for raw files dialog box. so somehow, the importer of crude seems to work? Tried the adobes 8.4 dng converter, but do not always open files.

Do you have anyone encountered the same problem and found a solution? Thanks a lot for your help!

  • .bat file changed in an .exe file that opens a file linked to the main program does not open after packed

    Here's what's happening.

I have an add on package I wanted to pack with a main program.  The problem is that the add-on is not an .exe file so I had to make a .bat file to open it, which, unfortunately, is not recognized as a user entry point.   So I converted the file .bat to .exe file so that I could create a user to this file entry point.

It is a situation similar to opening a word document and it will automatically open Microsoft word.  Only in my case I create a batch file for this word document and then convert it into a .exe file so I could create a user for this document entry point.

So in my case after it's all packed to the top and I run the user entry point, I get an error could not open file.  Is that what I would call a linked file?  I'm packing up under copy writing/isolation mode and not in merged mode.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Christopher2222,

In most cases, you won't need to run the application during the capture process. In some scenarios it will probably a solution to set some values "first round" for an application.

In this case, you try to start a batch (bat) file. All Thinstall/ThinApp scenarios with a bat file to add this to your package.ini

    giveitaname.exe

    Source=%SystemSystem%\cmd.exe

    Shortcut = YourPackageContainer.dat

    CommandLine=%SystemSystem%\cmd.exe/k C:\PathToYourBatchFile\start.bat OptionalParameter1 OptionalParameter2

The UNC path is not recommended.

  • I can't refresh the files that I opened on a server to FireFTP after I change them (HTML, PHP, etc.).

For weeks I've been editing files on a remote web host (via FireFTP) that are also open in Firefox. From late in the evening, I can isn't just refresh the Firefox tab once I changed the file on the server. On the contrary, I have to close the file and re-open it completely. When I have the remote file open in a local editor time, date and size on the server as expected so I know this subject works.

The url indicates the location of the remote as file:

    file:///C:/users/{account_name}/APPDATA/local/Temp/{filename.ext}

and if I check this location on disk the file is there. Also note the file: Protocol that may or may not be standard.

Firefox and FireFTP copy of the file in the directory of the user and displaying only the version of the file? The association with the remote/hosted file somehow does not work?

I checked the Firefox command line options and do not see anything that looked like it might make a difference. I rebooted several times. I checked against viruses and malware and also perform several operations of registry cleaning.

Still, it worked until a few hours and I have not installed or changed something that I know.

    Any suggestions?

OK, I'm a complete jerk. The behavior I described is exactly what it should be. I was able to do a quick update when I was working with files * already on the local disk *, which is what I actually did most of this time. The view on the Web option is the only way to access a direct view of the file.

The downside is that view on the Web looks like that it only works with the default browser. It would be nice to be able to select the browsers to use if more than one is available, but it's a niggle (or a feature request) for another day.

Now you can beat me in the face with a crowbar. After that I'm done, of course.

  • There are many versions I [changed an option] so that PDF files does not open in Firefox. v 42.0, now I have no pdf viewer by default/built-in at all.

I don't know how long it was, but I decided that I didn't want to use the pdf viewer by default in Firefox at the time, and because things have been very slow in the browser, I disabled the default viewer and set options to ensure that all PDF files that are open outside of the browser and directly in Adobe. I have no memory of what I've done to get there in time.

Now for c. 42.0 (and 41.0.2, front) when I go to Options > Applications and select one of the "Adobe Acrobat Document" s, my only options are always "ask," "Save the file", or «Use other...» "and there is certainly no option of Firefox Viewer in 'another use. »

With Adobe Reader latest terms and the fact that they can now push updates when they want, I just * never * use again.

How to bring back the integrated pdf viewer? I realize there are other pdf viewers and I'm picking through those, but I would still have a browser too.

Oh, hang on, I missed something. When you go into Options > Application, the content type that you want to change is Portable Document Format (PDF) , which is the standard type application/pdf. (The others being obscure guys like Marlon who are not your problem). Does it work?

  • I can't find the fix_svchost.bat file update. The svchost.exe process is spiking the CPU at 100% after the computer crashes.

Original title: I can't find the fix_svchost.bat file update.

I'm in you process of having my computer running faster. The svchost.exe process takes 100% of cpu memory and computer dthe freezes. A friend of mine told me a method to solve the problem, but I can't find the fix_svchost.bat update. I went to microsoft update center and don't find any results at all, and I don't know another place to look for. I think that the update does not even exist.

I could send you a fix_svchost.bat file, but I don't think it's the starting point.

What you need to do is run a few respectable scans for malware first, and then see if any of you are your svchost.exe process is still badly behave.

Behind each of the svchost.exe process that see you in the Manager of tasks can be one or more process of XP you have to be running, but malware is KNOWN to imitate or hide behind a svchost.exe process, so you won't be able to see in Manager tasks.  You have to outsmart it.

First yo should make a reasonable effort to eliminate malware, and then start troubleshooting - not the other way around.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

These comprehensive analyses can take some time, but you really need to run.  SAS will probably be just a bunch of Internet tracking cookies, but you can remove them.  Once you have done at least a full analysis, you can do quick scans in the future to save time and save the analyses complete for when you have more time or are really suspicious of an infection of the system.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

In 1985, there were 11 known computer viruses.  Today, there are over 70,000 and new threats are detected every day.  Always update your virus definitions before running a scan.

  • Can I write a .bat file to list all files of a specific type?

With the help that I am here, I wrote a simple .bat file that lists all the files in a directory that I chose.

I would now like to make a version of which lists all the files in the specified directory that have a .wav extension. Is this possible?

    Here are the existing syntax:

    D:
    CD D:\inetpub\kthings
    dir > C:\tftDocuments.txt
    TYPE tftDocuments.txt

Can I write a .bat file to list all files of a specific type?

I do not know.  Can you?

    Tips:

    Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/ntcmds.mspx?mfr=true

Or just open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK), and then type a command followed by the characters /? to see information about this command.

    For example, try

    dir /?

  • How do I trouble or repair cmd.exe on Win XP? For some strange reason the extension bat files does not work

    Hi all

I have four PC all currently running Win XP Professional Service pack 3. Unfortunately only two of them will run the extension bat files when I double-click the file or run the file at the cmd prompt. The other two for some strange reason will not. When I double-click on them the cmd window opens quickly and then stops as quickly. There, someone knows what's the problem?

I tried to do my research and on another forum, someone suggested to reinstall or repair the cmd. Is this possible? If so, how? What is the right course of action at all?

Please if someone could help me to solve this crisis, I would be extremely grateful. Without these bat running files, I can't render my farm runs correctly. Thank you.

Too bad. Figured it out. Thanks anyway.

The winmail.dat file does not contain something useful. It's people who use Microsoft Outlook to send e-mail messages. They can prevent to appear by sending messages to plain text.
