  Original title: batch files do not work!
  Recently, whenever I try to run a .bat (batch file) it will slow down my computer until she reached the point where I can ONLY move the cursor. If I'm lucky I can sometimes get it to open but it doesn't do anything and once again I have to force reboot to get my computer to respond. If I open CMD directly and type in that what it is supposed to do manually will work. I need to be able to run batch files for some programs I run. I can not even "start iexplore.exe" as a batchfile to run. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated. Now I need to run batch files on my old laptop that can barely run and they take FOREVER. Thanks for the help!

• Windows 7 will not allow a batch file to run.

  I created a batch file.  Double-clicking it in Explorer lights up only the Publisher.  It runs in a command window does the editor.  That is what it is?

  Should it run in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (SP3) maybe? Right click, select Properties , and then make the changes in the compatibility tab.

  You didn't mention what your batch file has been written to do, but it must run an command with administrator privileges prompt?

  To start an elevated command prompt, click Start and type CMD but do not press ENTER. Find the program listed above CMD and right click and select run as administrator.

  If this does not work the script file, you will need to click right on the. BAT or. CMD and select Properties. Under the tab compatibility , under privilege level, check the run as Administrator option. This should be performed by the users of the human resources of the computer, click on change settings for all users and make your changes as well.

• How to set up a batch file to run on start up?

  I try to add the following directory on the path:

  C:\python27\
  I looked online and put the following code in a .bat (SetPath.bat) file:
  set path = % path %; C:\python27\
  Then I copied a shortcut to SetPath.bat in the startup folder.
  But this doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? Help!

  I do not even remotely with Python, so I'm not really sure I understand that last message. You say test1.py is normally a file executable but executable .exe or .com extension and as normally would be the first thing typed in any given order.

  It is my understanding that the options specified after the executable in any command are interpreted by the executable itself (in your python example), not by Windows. There are options within the application (Python) to control it, as a default directory/folder, or it may not.

  I currently have a funny problem with beta3.

  When I try run my application via 'Run' the app stucks at the splashscreen 'BlackBerry '. When I use "Debug" it works. Happens on the device and in the Simulator. I have also no log of messages and error.

  To test, I created a new project with the Standard model. Doesn't change anything and I tried to launch it on the 10.0.9.386, Simulator, didn't work. Tried on the Alpha of Dev, does not work either.

  Runs the application in debugging in circuit mode I get the Label "Hello World".

  I am on Mac OS 10.8.2 and upgraded to XCode 4.5 today, but I do not know if what counts.

  Someone knows how to fix this?

  This should work for you-

  Create a batch on your current server (ODI) file and write in the path to the other file of commands on the other server.

  Server2completename/D$/path/yourbatchfile.bat

  Calling your batch file that you created on the same machine... which inturn will call the other on another machine batch file to run the batch client from the ODI.

  Also you can paste errors that you can get... need to check if you get any specific problem related to this.

• Problems with batch files and command.

  I'm not too familiar with the support of the PC, but can follow the operational base.

  I had a problem with my windows vista machine.  Whenever I started, there was a poster on my screen batch file.  This was a company script provided departmental support of PC does not recognize.  It was as if the batch file has been stuck in a mode where it would display only instead of execution.  After a bit of back & comes with our IT supports people, they agreed to look into the problem.  They went under launch programs to ensure that batch files have been executed with the cmd program.  Now, it displays a MS-DOS window whenever I start.  I don't know why this is so.

  As my company IT Department is unable to help, I hope someone can give me some advice.

  Is there a place to check to find out WHY this dos window appears every time and how I could fix this situation.  I can't that hope that corporate batch files are run correctly.

  I have a database server and I need to transfer data from server to Client PC. For this, I create a batch file. My batch file is run with success and transfer data were but batch file is not terminated automatically. Please find the below batch file script for the same.

  Data must transfer the server form 2003 to windows 7 PC
