  I searched the forum and the Internet but cannot find an answer to my problem.

  I need Photoshop to save my files with an automatic consecutive numbering.

  Here's what I do. I have a lot of image files with several photos and negatives scanned in each image file. I need to individually select each photo or negative to be able to copy / paste into a new file, then by recording each photo/negative pasted into a separate image file.

  Now I have automated the process of cut and paste and record also some effects with Actions, but when I come to saving the files that I am always prompted to enter a file name no matter if I record the record as 'Save' or ' save under.

  So here's my question: is it possible to make Photoshop save each file automatically with an automatically assigned number? Example: Photo0004.tif of the Photo0003.tif file and the next and so on. So I will not need to manually enter a file name each time?

  Save batch is not a solution since all files I opened must be subdivided as 12 new files separate and recorded with different names.

  As for the version of Photoshop, I use both CS2, CS5 and could sit with another machine with CS6 if this is what is necessary for the job.

  I think this is a related issue of Windows, because it is the Manager to save the windows file that we are talking about here (right?). You should contact Microsoft for help with this one, I think. You expect to be able to delete entries simply by touching delete on your keyboard when they are concentrated (that is how it goes for the removal of the form entries specific autocomplete in Firefox), but I have not tried.

  I assume that you use the application overview.

  I can't find an answer to back up everything, but a workaround could be while the file menu options are visible, press the option key

  and the point of the window will become close, if you click on that dialogue will ask you if you want to restore the changes or save

  pressing Save will close the image with the changes and then move to the next image and so on.

  If you re-open the file .mswmm to re - edit source files...

  1. don't you restore the computer to factory settings?
  2. do you just restore the computer to an earlier time by using the system restore feature in Windows XP?

  If you restore the computer to its factory settings, you will then get in touch with the manufacturer of the system for more support options.

  If you had just restored the computer to an earlier time using System Restore, you can undo the system restore to revert back the changes.

  (More info: I tried to recover the files from external hard disk but it requires a physical recovery and would cost over $ 1000, which I did not; also unfortunately I don't think I created backup via the "backup and Restore Center" files in the control panel).

  I use Windows Vista Home Premium Version 6.0.  When I use the windows search feature (navigate from the 'new' start icon) search results include files that have been deleted.  This is quite annoying because it dilutes the value of the search result.

  How can I batch rename 100 files so that I change only the first four characters of a name of fifty character where the last 30 characters are different for each file name?  To BACK the rename command would work with wildcards, but my files names are too long for BACK.  I tried the select all, press F2 and change the first, but all the characters changed instead of just the characters that I have edited.
