Battery drains after put 10.0.2 update

Since the update of my iPhone last night (10/01/16) my battery drains very quickly. Do not have this problem before the update.  All the patches?

Greetings Willie9100,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that since the update your iPhone last night 10.0.2, your battery empty very quickly. You don't have this problem before the update. I can imagine trying to stop draining your battery. I'm happy to help you with this.

Please take a look to maximize the life of the battery and battery life and display battery usage information and to see what proportion of your battery used by each application, specifically, this section:

View the battery information

iOS 9 is designed to be the most efficient battery iOS ever. And it gives more specific ways to manage your device's battery life, because you can see the proportion of your battery used by each application (unless the unit is being charged). To view your usage, go to settings > battery.

There are messages that you can see below the applications you use:

Background activity. This indicates that the battery has been used by the application while he was in the background - in other words, while you were using another application.

  • To improve the battery life, you can disable the feature that allows applications to background refresh. Go to settings > general > background App refresh and turn the switch to Off.
  • If the Mail app lists substantive activities, you can choose to manually recover data or increase the recovery interval. Go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > retrieve new data.

Location and the location of the background. This indicates that the app uses location-based services.

  • You can optimize your battery life by disabling the location Services for the tour app in settings > privacy > location Services.
  • In location Services, you can see each app listed with his permission setting. Applications having recently used location-based services have an indicator next to the on/off switch.

Home & lock screen. This indicates that the home screen or the lock screen has been posted on your device. For example, the display was awakened by pressing the Home button or by a notification.

  • If an application frequently wake up your display with notifications, you can disable push notifications for the app in settings > Notifications. Push App and set allow Notifications to Off.

No cell phone coverage and low Signal. This means that either you are in a poor cellular coverage area and your iOS device is looking for a better signal or that you used your device in conditions of weak signal, which is reached in your battery life.

  • You can optimize your battery life by turning on airplane mode. Drag up to open Control Center and press airplane mode icon. Note that you can not make or receive calls in flight mode.

Let us know if that helps.

Have a wonderful day!

  • IPad Air battery drain after 9.2.1 Update :(

Since the update to 9.2.-, the battery life of my faithful Air iPad seems to be screwed.

I think I was on IOS 8 or something before, when they were still on the right, instead of being now on the left, as they used to be with my first iPad. Battery drain is ridiculous now.

I looked for solutions and made the thing to hard reboot (power button / stop and the home, flamed Maple logo button, restart, etc.) more times than I can count and have asked the entire farm advice I can find to save ((change of email to extraction, manual instead of push, turning off the motion auto-updates off (, the app update, etc.) without success

What bothers me most is that even when it is plugged in and over, if I use it, the battery is still visibly draining.

Reluctant to a backup of a computer and a complete reset from zero, last resort, obvs.

If anyone has the answer? Or are we supposed to expect that Apple to orovide another patch to sort?

Advice or suggestions received with gratitude, I don't want to take the risk of roll back to IOS 9 or 9.1 either - from what I've seen online, there was too much battery drain issues with those, too.

Come on, Apple! It is simply not good enough!  My iPad has lost 3% just to write this! While that plugged!

According to the useage thing battery in parameters, 85% of it is down to Safari. My use of Safari has not changed at all.

Impossible to find a suitable place really that Apple give me an option after that, so stick under the Safari option as all the rest has nothing to do with my question bsttery, he had nothing remotely applicable under 'software update' - which was on windows! If someone can tell me a better place to put this, I would be grateful. Newbie on this forum :/

Some iOS processes tend to run constantly in the background.

Make sure that you don't have a lot of applications running in the background in the app selector (less than say 8 apps).

Keep the screen brightness down to somewhere between the two allows 40-60% or more with the longevity of the battery.

You can try my list of suggestions to see id that this helps with both performance AND battery life.

Some of these may be superfluous, so try the ones you haven't tried.

Try to reset all the settings in the settings under general app and in the right column under restore.

Try stories reset and delete/reset the caches in all web browsers you use.

If you use Safari, these features may be in the application settings under Safari.

Other browsers have their settings inside the running application itself.

If your iPad has been activated for iCloud, in the application settings under iCloud, to the right, under iCloud Drive, type in iCloud drive and make sure that Safari is off to save data from Safari to iCloud by car.

Also, under iCloud in the application settings, in iCloud Drive, turn the feature off saving for all other desired apps DO NOT the data automatically on iCloud drive.

In the application settings tab general, right under the spotlight sesrch, try disable the search under the applications who really don't need a research, as some games, remote controls, apps that are really useless to be searched, etc., in order to reduce the list to Spotlight search.

Try to turn the reduced movement.

This is found in the application of settings in the general tab, in the left panel.

In the right panel, look under accessibility, look to reduce the Motion and turn this feature "On".

You should see a significant performance increase on all models of iPad 2, 3 and 4.

In the application settings under the general tab, in the right column, search background App update and enable this setting to "off".

If you are willing to do (I, personally, would not recommend this), some users have reported that turn off find my phone/iPad, in the settings app in iCloud, has improved the performance of iOS, although I have no how this feature could be the cause of such a slowdown in execution, unless it's a bug in the iOS which only affects some iPad users.

Try an another hard reset of your iPad by simultaneously pressing buttons Home and sleep/wake button until your iPad goes to the dark and restarts with the Apple logo, then release the buttons.

    Good luck!

  • Sony Xperia P has battery problem after 4.1.2. Update

This morning I updated my Sony Xperia P to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The update itself was completed without problems.

But after the update used battery very fast, without being used. And it's hot.

I tried to reboot (several times) does not.

When we look at the use of the battery, it says my Exchange (build-in app email) is constantly active and is the main reason for my use of the large farm. I tried to change my sync to push manual, without significant difference.

I activated the ENDURANCE (why isn't this by default?). In doing so, it tells me I have the long lag time, but it still really drains my battery...

This afternoon I used about 50% battery in 2 hours, without the use of mobile telephony.

Finally, I forced the app Exchange stops, which effectively stopped the battery drain.

But it seems to me like incompatibility or similar between Jelly Bean and the application of the Exchange.

Anyone who has had, or has ideas for what?

    Hello

Well, I made some progress with it. The "Exchange" Service unused by my outlook e-mail reader but by the mail client by default when you access my Hotmail account. It seems to keep the phone in a continuous "awake" State which will obviously flow fast enough (tiny) battery.

The solution is to remove the Hotmail account, and then reconfigure. I also took the opportunity to try another customer, but I don't think that makes the difference. The Exchange Service must return to its normal use and you should also see the phone not being is not in the State 'awake' all the time. This is visible in the form of advanced battery via the power management menu.

    See you soon,.

  • IPhone battery drain after fixing accessory fan

I have a version of the iPhone 6 s 9.3.5, 64G, 55.5 GB avail 22.4 GB cap. My battery was fast draining after my friend inserted a fan accessory. There was a time when I slept and it was 100% and when I wake, it fell to 35%, but I turned my phone into airplane mode. I tried to disable notifications, background app refresh, locations, etc. And yet it flows easily. I need to reformat my phone?

View-> battery settings and under "battery use" see what apps consume your battery.

There are very little chance that connect an accessory in the past had any impact on your current battery life, except if it has been broken and ruined your phone somehow. (And I mean hardware, not software)

for the future, make sure you always use MFI (Made for iPhone) certified accessories.

  • iPhone battery drains too fast since the last update! Please fix this

    Hello JasonV!

I definitely want to get the most out of the battery of my iPhone, considering how much I use and depend on.  We can certainly check a few settings.

First of all, check out this article to see if there are any apps or processes that use more battery than expected: on the use of the battery on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

Then see that all of your settings are configured as this guide recommends: Batteries - maximize Performance - Apple

Once those who are defined, give it a try with the settings and let us know which applications use the most power and the percentage.

  • Battery drain after upgrading a 5s to iOS9.2.1

I have a 5 s, bought in August 2014.  I've had no problems until earlier this week, a few days after the upgrade to iOS 9.2.1.  Now battery drains very quickly from 100% to 60% in normal use half an hour, that is news, email, FaceBook.  Twice the battery dropped instantly from about 60% to 1%.  I have no idea what to do about this.

My 5s iPhone turns off completely to anything around 30-40% battery, no warning, just a black screen, then a CAP in the icon

  • Battery drains after 20 minutes on a full charge

My iPad Air first generation is having problems with the battery. After I fully charge the device at 100% the percentage will remain the same for about 15 minutes before going down to 20% before closing in on itself after 20 total minutes of usage time. I never downloaded anything or access anything that was suspicious and I only use app store apps. It happened for about 6 months and its very frustrating.

Try to download the app from the battery life which is available for free on the App Store. Check the battery with it and if defective, schedule an appointment in an Apple store for eventual replacement.

If your device does not load, try the procedure described in this article from Apple:

  • IPhone SE lag after put 9.3.2 update

    Hi all!

2 months ago I bought a new iPhone t-mobile SE.

After the 9.3.2 update, I noticed accused for example: on the home screen, during the games (BBTAN, Jetpack Joyride etc.) when the phone is automatically set the brightness of the screen.

(I noticed this when I went from the shadows in the light of the Sun)

Is there anyone who has noticed this problem... or... What can I do with this...? !

    Thank you

    Best regards, David

(and sorry for my bad English)

Do you get low memory warnings?

Try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).

  • Battery drain after update to 9.2.1 :(

After that update to 9.2.1 my iPhone 6 s is messed up - it drains the battery FAST.

The iPhone is always "hot" and Safari + mail uses 85% of the battery... and I'm not even using the phone!

    Apple - it's a joke.

    Anyone with a solution?

I have the same problem with my iPad for downloading the 9.2.1 update. My iPad used to have a fantastic battery life, but now drains quickly when I am using it, even if it is plugged and charge - which cannot be right.

I looked for solutions and the done reboot several times that I can count.

I apply the entire farm advice I can find to save, turning off Push email, variation of brightness, switching off motion, etc etc, but no obvious improvement.

Someone here has a solution, or are we supposed to put up with it until they come up with a fix? I was on IOS 8 or something before, when they were on the right, and the difference in the life of the battery is staggering.

What bothers me the most is that my battery goes down even when it is plugged in and in charge, when I use it. It is used to load correctly when it is connected and its use.

Come on Apple, sort! Does anyone know if another fix is on the way?

Unless someone else here has any suggestions more? Reluctant to all save and reset everything, what is obv last spring.
