Flexconnect AP stuck in stand-alone Mode
Hi all
I have all my APs configured under flexconnect at the remote site.
I have one controller at the head office.
There are two redundant links of MPLS from the main office to the remote site.
Now the question is, whenever my MPLS does a failover to the redundant link, all my flexconnect that aps disappear from the controller.
I understand that this is due to the clock pulse is expired and the AP in stand-alone mode .
But the APs flexconnect take a terribly long time to spend in connected mode, once flipping over MPLS (which is usually half a minute max).
Infact he takes so long that I have to manually close/reset switch-ports (POE) on which all the access points on the remote site are connected!
There are some adjustments that I'm missing here? or do I have I'll upgrade my firmware? By the way, my controller is currently on S/W ver: 7.4.121.0.
If you have a test controller, you can test it with a different code of the WLC software. Otherwise reach TAC Cisco and see known issues with this code on it.

Hello
We have a customer who is to evaluate a Motorla vs Cisco wireless solution. He said that a Motorola AP can operate in stand-alone mode for 48 hours. He lost after communication to the controller. Is there a limitation like this with a 2500 controller and the solution of access points 1140 series?.

Mode conversion controller in stand-alone mode in cisco 1702
I have cisco AP 1702 and in controller mode. I don't have the controller so want to convert in stand-alone mode. I went through various items for this and found this interesting way to do.
Run this command to convert:
# swarm - Standalone mode
# reloadI found this on this link: http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-less-WLANs/How-to-conve...
Similarly, going through the longer process, I downloaded this for the standalone mode: https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286281141&flowid=...
and for stand-alone mode, I have this one: https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286281141&flowid=...
Here are the files I'm looking for?
Help, please.
This original link can cause a headache for an Aruba AP which is different.
Try this method:
The software of the first link you posted (https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286281141&flowid=71622&softwareid=284180979&release=15.3.3-JC1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=ED&reltype=latest) will work for the standalone mode (stand-alone).
This second link is light which means the controller-based and you don't want that for this scenario.
See you soon,.

Stand-alone mode - scalability
Hello
We have an environment where we organize the listener of the APEX in stand-alone mode (on linux). Currently, it works on dev environments and test.
The question is how to dimensionnera the independent auditor once we expose this to hundreds of users in the production environment?
I know that the cost of not using a J2EE server is the management and control, but how to dimensionnera the independent auditor from deployment to a Web server?
Brgds
Martin B. NielsenThe stand-alone mode is only for development purposes. It is not intended for production use. You will need to use a proper application for the production server.

2) Download the IOS image ( you can get this ios image from cisco.com) on your desktop.
3) Rename the image into c1130-k9w7-tar.default
4) Give your computer Ethernet an address in the range 10.0.0.2 till
10.0.0.30
5) Run the tftp server on your computer.
- Make sure that the directory of your tftp server is the desktop.
- Specify the AP address on the tftp server if needed.
6) Connect the AP to the computer with Ethernet cable.
7) Remove the power from the AP.
8) Press and hold Mode button on the AP, and insert the power jacket in the AP.
9) Keep pressing on the Mode button for (20-30 seconds) until you see RED Led.
10) Wait until the image installed and all led lights return to green

Configuration of the Cisco etherchannel stack: flag stuck in stand alone
I'm putting in place an etherchannel for my stack of Cisco (switch Catalyst 3750 G x 2), with a port on each switch the etherchannel. Dear all
My command team MXE3500 with node resource. 5, in fact, we would use as standalone, but I can't access http://x.x.x.x/mxeui.
Is the node of resource able to run on the standalone device? or use the resource instread Manager
Best regards

Node resource must be associated with a resource manager. Only resource managers can be stand-alone.

Security admin in stand-alone mode, Essbase 11.1.2.2 user
Hello gurus,
Can someone shed some light on how the security is stored for the admin user if Essbase is configured/deployed in standalone mode?
We have configured Essbase in standalone mode, but in the face of the question while connecting to essbase MaxL.
We tried with admin/password, but - Error Invalid credentials. (Is there a different default password for the admin user?)
So it was just curious to know how/where is check Essbase/MaxL to validate the credentials.
TIA,
Santy.
affecting the admin user in the EssbaseConfiginfo.properties, then by removing all the .sec and dry backup, start essbase, can identify you with the new admin user and password.
See you soon

JDK 1.6.0_26Hi Andy,.
I think that this error was triggered due to a failure of Oracle servers that contain the schema definition for validation.
The two http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd URLS have been temporarily low today but shows a splash screen, for schema validation failed.
Currently, the system seems to be again. Could check you if it still works?-Udo

Change IOS on AP 1131AG light to stand alone
Hi experts,
can anyone advice if the ap 1131ag IOS can be changed to stand alone? can you give me a link where I could get a standalone IOS and how? Thank you!
Follow these steps to return mode LWAPP stand-alone mode by loading a version of Cisco IOS using a TFTP server:
Step 1 the IP address of the computer on which the server software runs TFTP should range from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.30.
Step 2 make sure the PC contains the file access point (for example, c1200-k9w7 - tar.122 - 15.JA.tar for a 1200 Series access point) in the TFTP server folder and the TFTP server is activated.
Step 3 set the timeout on the TFTP server in 30 seconds.
Step 4 on the PC where, the TFTP server perform the following steps:
a. disable the firewall, such as Windows, ZoneAlarm firewall firewall software, McAffee firewall or other.
b. ensure that all Windows are visible. In Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options > view. Deselect hide them extensions of known file types check box.
Step 5, rename the access point image file in the folder of the server TFTP c1200-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1200 access point, c1130-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1130 access point, c1240-k9w7 - tar.default for a 1240 series access point and c1250-k9w7 - tar.default for a 1250 series access point.
Step 6 connect the PC to the access point using an Ethernet category 5 cable (CAT5).
Step 7 disconnect the power to the access point.
Step 8 push the MODE button and hold the button while you reconnect power to the access point.
Step 9 hold the MODE button until the status LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds), then release.
Step 10 wait until restarting access point, as indicated by the LEDs become green followed the status LED flashes green.
Step 11 after the access point reboots, reconfigure using the GUI or the CLI.

Stand-alone 3502I without controller?
I have a client with several former Aironet 1121 G from WAP. In one place of the factory several big engine noise levels prevents a reliable connection to the WAP, even if it is located in the same room as users. I mean updated the 1121G to the 3502I to take advantage of Clean Air technology. This raises two questions:
1) will be able to effectively manage the RF noise only 3502I or it requires a WAP network to work properly?
(2) the 3502I requires the controller of CT2504 to clean at work, or it will run in stand-alone mode?
Thanks in advance,
Joe
Does that drop the connection speed down to about 1Mb/s?
NO. 802. 11A is high-speed, short-range radio. 802. 11b is long range and low speed and has 3 channels of Alcan.
Unfortunately, if you have a noisy RF environment, putting a WLC (DCA, with active PTC) can help. Without this, you need to constantly monitor each WAP and manually change the channels and Tx power.
You are in a situation a little "who comes in first place, the chicken or the egg". If you cannot afford to get a WLC with your solution, don't bother upgrading. It's a waste of money.

Published by: Fateh November 16, 2011 21:46Hi Fateh,
If I do not Dapex.home in the 'startup script", so that this file exists?
It will be in the directory temp of your users. The actual location of that APEX listener uses belongs to the output of the console at startup.
But I recommend always using the apex.home parameter, then you can be sure where the APEX listener looking for him and that it is not deleted by some 'clean-up '.Yet, when I create a service for the 'start-up' file, I get the same error:
What account name is the service that is supposed to work? If you do not apex.home , the temp directory will usually be different if you do not use your username. Therefore, you will need a Setup for the account that runs the service.
So, I need to keep the open CMD...
No, you could (and should) pipe the console output to a log file. See the full command line in the example I posted here: {message identifier: = 9606494}
I think that this is the post you mentioned above...APEX earpiece not working only not with ORACLE XE (as I know, waiting for patch)
so far I have faced a problem with Interactive reports do not work correctly with GlassfishThere are two points to this inaccurate publication:
1 there is a work around for this problem.
2. the problem was resolved short after he acknowledged. There are many users using listener of the APEX with XE here in the forum. I have two bodies, including one with the new 11.2 XE and APEX 4.1, as in your scenario and it works very well.
In general, I think that 4 apex is more stable than the Apex 4.1. Apex 4.1 I am disconnected for reason now... A few times, I click on the header of column in IR and takes time to load the values...
Well, as far as I know, have evolved in the IRs, is not completely improbable that some of these changes could cause new problems. But I guess that you can find answers for this in the forum {forum: id = 137}.
Do you have any suspicion regarding the glass fish? I deployed Apex listener by following the instructions in the documentation. Then click launch. Then it should start to use port 8080, but it did not work...!
Hmmm... You see the page default GlassFish ("GlassFish Server - server running") when you call
http://: 8080? Port number, it is not the APEX listeners case when you do not use offline...
If you get a result of http://: 8080/apex you could look in the application log in you GlassFish for more information (like in the console in stand-alone mode).
My first guess would be that you do not have confgured the APEX listener you still deployed. It should be noted that the GlassFish does not use the users temp temp directory, but has its own. So to call listenerConfigure after the first deployment or set up a config.dir with an existing apex - config.xml. I would recommend the latter strategy. You should read the article of the Guide of the Installation on the configuration file and how to set its location in the file web.xml or search the forum for this request (common)...-Udo
