  Hello

  I'm just trying to use the advertising Service for one of my app. I followed the instructions in the documentation here , but the link to sampleApp is broken.

  When I add "import bb.cascades.advertisement 1.0" in my qml file, I get a 'bb.cascades.advertisement is not installed error.  So what am I missing here? You need a working example (QML)? Thank you!

• Area for the advertising service ID

  Hello

  I finished my app and tested against TEST area ID for the BB ads service.

  How can I get my ID for box for my application?

  Should I first download version 1 on App world, ask to IDZone and include it in version 2 and make a final version?

  I missed with the documentation provided to download the app on BB app world with advertising service.

  Hi Afonso,

  You will need to add a new application for your advertising service account. After it is added, you can display the zone ID by going to the "Application Setup" tab and then clicking the 'Manage' link associated with your application, in this perspective, there is a section "Existing areas", by clicking on the 'Code' link to view the ID of the zone.

• Advertising service - NoClassDefFoundError

  Hi all

  Can someone help me traceout the issue related to the advertising department. When I integrate OS6.0 compatable .jar (ads of BB SDK service) file and get the banners, my request to launch 'NoClassDefFoundError '. Here I use zonal trail ID: 31848, 9810 device as Simulator 9900 in Testing. In both cases, I get the same error.

  Can you me say please I use correct zonalID?, I have to build the application using jre6.0 and jre 7.0 as well, but in both cases, I get the same error. I think, I'm using compatible software. but do not know why his mistake throw like that.

• BB10 background services or launching apps at some point

  Hi all!

  Anyone know if there is a way to have some background on BB10 process? I mean, a process of doing things without starting the application? i.e. Messaging apps.

  There is something like an api TIMER to let your app proceed at certain intervals (whiout have your runing app, of course)? For example I want to run some things daily at 07:00, synchronization and things like that.

  BB10 does currently not background processes. However, you may have your app 'register' with your server and you can send these applications, a message of 'push' that would go to the app (if it is already started). In your case, having the user select when they want the synchronization to occur, which store on your server, as well as their device ID and to run a cron job to push a message to your application on these devices, the user specified time (taking into account time zones).

• Advertising service for PlayBook is authorized Adsense?

  Because the BB Adveristing service is not activated yet for the BB PlayBook, I wondered if we were allowed to use Google Adsense to monize for now? I think that ive seen it somewhere in an app before... or maybe if RIM is not answer I will take it as "we will turn our backs on this" * wink wink nudge nudge * a bit much?

  I'm trying to integrate the advertising service of Blackberry with BB10 HTML5 + WebWorks. Is this currently supported?

  The Blackberry advertising service is not currently available for Blackberry 10 gold Webworks SDK.

  I don't know about the docs, but a working example would be more appropriate.

• Error launching application with Service Ad

  I'm integrating the ad to my application service.

  Right now, I have more documentation to create app demo for it.

  I get "java.lang.NoClassDef Error Found" as soon as I run my application.

  Here is the code I use:

  I build my application using OS 6.0

  I tried to run the app on 9800 Simulator as well as on the OS 7.0 device 9860

  For both I get the same error.

  How to test the sample application on the Simulator and the device?

  With the exception of clutter, there not bad for them to be there. These are sharing things of advertising services. They are not connected to your Mac. You can make these go away by turning off 'Hello computers' in the preferences of the Finder, tab of the sidebar.

  If you have enabled file sharing, you can see your own Mac listed there as a PC, as it is the sharing via SMB (Windows file sharing protocol).

  If you use virtualization software, virtual machines are also visible in the PC.

• I'm automatic hypertext links. When I visit my site in Firefox, some words are hyperlinked to pop - ads. They appear only using Firefox.

  I created www.nevoda.com. When I visit this web site using 19.0 FF, some words are underlined by two bars of reading. When you click on the word, a pop-up ad appears. In law, for example, "in-service training" is underlined and the pop-up is DegreeSearch.org.

  They are double-underlined? (Edit: Oops, I see you said they are.) You have probably installed an extension that connects to an advertising service. Try disabling all modules not essential and not recognized on the next page. Don't be fooled by bland names such as "Manager of browser." most of the extensions are not necessary for normal navigation.

  When an ad is loaded, you can retrieve the item and manually add the target attribute. Some advertising services will be actually allow you to specify what kind of target you want to associate with your ads.

  For example:
  Links var = document.querySelectorAll ('a');

  Then loop through the links and:
  links [n] .setAttribute ('target', '_blank');

  * Or something in that sense.

  There is no way to override explicitly all the binding elements in an application to open like a map; you will have to take some manual intervention and change the elements to behave as you wish.
