  It seems impossible to me more to access the BBC I player via the icon in my bar of tasks and do it through the internet.   Problem is now solved. Uninstalled Vista Codec Package and installed K - Lite Codec package and it seems to have solved the problem.

  Since the latest version Flash Player 11.8.800.94 has been installed the BBC Radio Player will not play the Archers. I'm jusing opera and click to download and activate the plugin no longer works. I have cleared the cache but no joy.  Any ideas most welcome.

  Thank you, I have been looking for other forums & found many other people have the same problem. OK not sure if it works for everyone which has this problem, but it worked for me!

  I found that the latest version of Flash Player (11.1.102.55 (Non - IE) 64-bit) is perhaps not compatible with the latest version of Firefox (8.0) because they are responsible for the iplayer of the BBC, ITV Player, etc.

  I tried to uninstall flash & installation of a previous version of flash & I always had the same problem.

  Then, I not unhooked 8.0 Firefox & installed a previous version of filehippo.com & it works perfectly! Maybe there are still some bugs in version 8.0 of Firefox...
