• ColdFusion and Flex or just Coldfusion

  So an application I have puffiness worked for a few years with CF8 and Flex. It assigns tasks, appointmnts, rest, holiday of our operators. Operators open the app on their laptop or PC available. But we believe that this system is a little old and slow and we think that it needs more interaction with operators.

  An example of what we need. It would be nice if the operator can notify the application of changes in real time, so that another operator can be shipped for the backup. Operators also want their own space and communication channels.

  We want to make the system easier to use. If possible using Coldfusion only. With Ajax? I don't know if this is possible. Any ideas?

  In theory, almost everything you have done in Flex must be achievable using HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript and ColdFusion.  The performance gap between the integration of Flex/ColdFusion and JavaScript (AJAX) / ColdFusion is not nearly as wide as it was at the time when ColdFusion 8 is out.  Having said that, without knowing exactly what Flex functions you use it is difficult to answer with certainty.

  The ColdFusion upgrade to the current version (version 11) is expected to provide a performance increase.

  Before the question, I want to give a bit of history.
  
  I started using DreamWeaver and Coldfusion to create simple applications for our employees to use. It started with simple applications that the end user entered data. After several years, I learned to integrate several systems (such as emails, accounts payable and our main software in this first site.) He slowly turned into this huge, disjoint site which doesn't have any flow to it.
  
  About 3 months ago I started to go through the whole site, and using css, I gave him a universal theme. I still don't like the look of it, it still feels disjointed. I started, last week, reading about Flex, but I'm not really a few things.

  In fact, I'd keep the coldfusion server. Basically write you your components in ColdFusion and call them from Flex. So you would create a remote procedure in flex that calls your CFC and it would return a query to tell employees etc. This marriage you gives the most flexibility because you can have everything you need available to Flex CF via your CFC. And if you're lucky, you have created your ColdFusion to migrate using CFC application, so you can reuse them.

  The extent of the Apollo. Apollo is a totally new environment to create rich applications. The palyer Apollo is much more functional that it allows for system access, format PDF, Javascript, HTML etc. So, if you are limited by Flex and you can use Apollo. However, this requires the application installed on the client computer. Not much, but Apoolo is very powerful. Check it out.

  It is not a problem of fonts. It is the problem of the sample text entered by the models.

  The error message means that there is a text field in your book which is still on show at the text included by the model, and you will need to replace this text with your text. This textfield might be hidden behind a picture.

  If you create a preview of the book, such default text is omitted. Have you compared the preview of what you see in iPhoto? Text that shows in iPhoto, but not in the preview will be such default text.

  In collaboration with the team of active directory on a system dual processor pentium 4 two internal drives and a USB key.

  The system was primarily used to support customers who had taken similar systems for their businesses and also used sql 2005 for a knowledge base.

  An update of security at the end of November had touched the directory active directory at the point no user could identify or change anything, we cut it down so that it wouldn't harm to all customers, the day after the workstation which ran xp pro started having problems COM + and MSDTC so in fact it crashed, in the crash, we restarted since a complete system upward, and it ran for a week and then crashed again. This time did us not back up on top of the system, and it's very buggy but clean. Microsoft Security Essentials has been loaded on the system and said that's fine.

  The server has boggled the very nice people at Microsoft, mistakes he sewing equipment was bad as a first step, we took it a part and ran some diagnostics intel and found a bank card that spontaneous USB to work, but that's all. We have disconnected them.

  This weekend, the system failed to load the operating system, whenever we tried, more files would not copy.

  I found a copy of Windows 2003 Web x 86 and told them to format the C drive and see if it would install.

  It and done. Today, I want to format the C drive again and this time, put the WINDOWS Server 2003 x 64 or Windows Server x 86 on drive C. restore the information and the hive of the back upward, and then move data from the d drive format and put the applications she had on her, then take the f drive, format and put the applications and save copies to this topic.

  Thank you for your response. I think that I was a bit of a troublemaker yesterday.  I was looking for a work-around and nice CSR suggested putting the issue here.

  I'm not bad today, so I'll answer the question for your readers, without references to the kb articles and white papers.

  The answer is simple. The CDs are compilations of different files and batch processes and applications. They have 'by default'. If criteria is not met, the reaction is errors. How errors are showing is not always encountered a ready error message.

  Yes, although Windows Server 2003 can support multiple operating systems.

  FF this is your intention in Windows Server 2003, have the default value of the BOOT file on the C drive. This robust environment, you can connect to the other OS as needed.

  When faced with a failure Active Directory of such magnitude nit files are corrupt, you will need to do a full format to NTFS on drive C and redo your configuration of good backups or from scratch.

  I followed the instructions to make sure I don't understand the "update notification" on stop downs and other tips, but I have more patience at this point.  This has been going on and I can't the system up to date.  I made every effort (by previous questions and answers) to ensure that the free trial of Norton has been removed from this computer.  It is a laptop.

  Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.

  [You may want to print these instructions for reference offline. If a step said to reboot, reboot.]

  1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

  4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

  NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

  5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  6. do a clean install of Norton 360 2011 (using your product ID, if need be) & reboot. CF. http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

  NOTE: Do NOT activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

  7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate (Norton) until you get a prompt "no update more".

  9. open IE8 32 bit (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 [ignore if APPLIES to article] & run it in DEFAULT and modes difficulty then AGGRESSIVE. [1]

  10. restart once again & test.

  Seeing that it is an optional update, this will be included in Service Pack 1? I've searched and can't seem to find an answer.

  The Photomerge has been moved from the 'Expert' view mode 'guided edits.

  No change in the Organizer, it is still in the Edit menu > Photomerge.

  No difference between the trial version and the full.

  We have extended our plugin to include views that use the html Bridge.

  The first step was to display the data on our custom types. Applications range from the gui - to the DataAccessControlller as seen in the samples of chassis.  Then a RequestSpec is generated and sent to the dataService:

  dataService.getData (requestSpec).

  The dataServices then forwards the request to our DataProviderAdapter - as in the example. Everything works fine.

  Now we want to rewrite some of the other views (for guests, vcenters etc.) to use the html Bridge as well, but these views use PropertyRequestSpecs for data.  These requests should be sent to the PropertyProviderAdapter - where all code wrote

  I tried something like the following:

  If (targetType is customType) - build a RequestSpec and send it to the dataService

  If (targetType == managedObjectType (as a host) - build a PropertyRequestSpec and send it to the dataService.)  This

  does not work, because the dataService only takes RequestSpecs as the parameter to GetData.

  I looked at the samples for vsphere and saw that they also make RequestSpecs and send them to the dataService.  These applications, however, do get sent to their PropertyProviderAdapter - and I have found no difference in the way in which the RequestSpecs were built.

  The difference between the 2 samples and my DataProvider, it is that I have both a DataProviderAdapter and a PropertyProviderAdapter in the same DataProvider.

  So the question is: is it possible to have the dataService send the request to the adapter is correct (or both) - based on the targetType?
