    I'm with laptop Lenovo S10e. I have a problem, but I can't find the reason of it. I think it's in the sound, but I'm not sure.     The minidump files showed a KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e) consistent error caused by the aswSP.SYS stop.

    The aswSP.SYS is a driver of Avast.

    The aswSP.SYS date is July 4, 2011 for this driver seems to have been recently updated.

    and the beginning of the problem may have coincided with this update.

    The process that crashes is the RTHDCPL.exe which is a process of Realtek.

    What I would say is to uninstall Avast and then see if the blue screen problem resolves.

    Then update the Realtek High Definition audio driver to the latest version available for the Lenova S10e.

    Reinstall the latest version of Avast.

    If you are still having the blue screen issue please provide the files minidump resulting.

    You can try to update the graphics card and check if it helps:

    a. Click Start, click Run and then type devmgmt.msc.

    b. double-click the type of device (graphics card) you want to update or change.

    c. right click on the device driver specific, you want to update or change.

    d. click on update driver to open the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

    Step 1: Use an automatic restart on system failure option. This can show you an error message until the system restarts. If you get an error message and then, after return the exact error message.

    Here's how:

    1. go to the control panel in Windows XP by clicking on the Start button.
    2. in the Control Panel, open system.
    3. in the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab.
    4 locate the startup and recovery area, and click on the settings button.
    5. in the startup and recovery window, locate and uncheck the box next to automatically restart.
    6. click OK in the startup and recovery window.
    7. click OK in the System Properties window.

    These are indeed related to IOMap64.sys for NT of ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Kernel Mode driver.  You need to download a new copy, remove the corrupt current copy and install the new copy.

    Don't forget to do a restore point (just in case)

    In the recent "Timeout detection and recovery' operating systems (TDR) of the video subsystem OS components were capable of making really impressive things to try to find issues that resulted in BONES as soon as XP crashing.

    As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends a video driver command "Please restart you now!" and wait a few seconds.
    If there is no answer, the BONE concludes that the combo of driver/hardware video has really collapsed in a heap, and it fires at this stop 0 x 116 BSOD.

    The first step would be to install the most recent driver and it continues to malfunction, return to a much older pilot that some new drivers are a little bugs.

    If playing with video driver versions did not help, make sure that the box is not overheated.

    If you have a desktop computer, try removing a side panel and a sector large fan directly to the motherboard and GPU.
    Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to check whether the cooler temperatures make a difference.

    If so, it could be as simple as dust accumulation and inadequate cooling afterwards.
