Beats Audio disappeared and low volume

Hi all! I recently bought a new laptop: HP Envy dv7 (product number: COT81EA-#ABZ) with Windows 8.

The other day my audio just stopped working. He said that no output has been installed. So, after looking over several forums, I reinstalled the driver by using the Recovery Manager. Now the volume has started to work again, but it is much lower than before. So I wanted to open Beats Audio and see the settings, but it disappeared completely! I've looked everywhere for it. I even tried Recovery Manager, but it's not there either.

Can someone help me please?

Hello Bianca92,

I understand that your sound does not work very well.

Go to Device Manager and uninstall the IDT audio.

Here is a link that will show you how to enter the Device Manager.

Go to HP.com and update the audio.

Here is a link to your driver updates. You will need to put in your product number and your location.

You can also update the BIOS.

I would like to know how everything goes.

    Hello

I have a laptop hp envy beats audio m6-1178ea. everything worked great until I upgraded to (forcibly) to windows 8.1. Since then, the audio has reduced in quality, power. The control panel with EQ does nothing. Small changes with the sidebar on the left, but in general the sound is it good and really low. When I plugin speakers or earphones, it's even worse, the quality declines more, the sound comes only out really low and flat, no bass and also varies a lot. (for example when I plugin the speakers for 1 second the sound is good and strong, and then he goes down and fluctuate). I have lived many forums like this one, I used the latest drivers (which are more than a year), I used the default windows drivers that disables audio beats, still nothing.

All solutions? Microsoft, HP will lead to a solution and the correct drivers?

    Hello @fivos_,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I read your post about how there is an audio issue with your laptop after upgrade to Windows 8.1, and I'd be happy to help you!

As you said, the drivers for your computer and available software indicate that there is no compatible driver for your system. You can choose to reload Windows 8 on your system and configure your Windows updates to allow only certain updates to the installation. This document should help to upgrade your system to Windows 8.

    I hope this helps!

Recently bought a new laptop with Win 8 Pro (product #: E4T18AV, ENVY TouchSmart 15 t-J000 Quad Edition).  I got the computer to Windows 7 Pro and I thought that I loaded all drivers (drivers missing is more according to Device Manager), but my Beats Audio no longer works.  In addition, the key light mute volume does not work.  The mute button itself still works, but the light does not work.  I tried installing many drivers after a search through the forums, but cannot find the right one.

  • The HT820 ear and lower volume stuck button

I had these headphones for almost 2 years works very well. I don't have a bluetooth phone, but I use my HT820 with my HP Ipaq 211 listening to music or watching movies. I also connected them to my work and the home pc. At work I connected them to the phone Nortel 1150. I just had a few problems since I got to the two atria are beginning to tear. I had them in my backpack and I don't know how, but one ear cushion came off the coast. So I'm wondering where I could get replacement tips? The other problem I have is with the low volume on the left hand button. The button is stuck, but I can live with that, because it is just the right volume level. If I don't find any guesswork replacement I can buy another pair and I can leave the old one at work since I can use it with the 1150 of Nortel. Thank you

As for the volume key. This aspect will likely be repaired if the warranty is only for one year. Sorry!

  • HP envy 15 t-j000 Beats audio fluctuation and jump

So, I recently bought this powerhouse of a machine and I love it.

I have a problem, however, and it's a really annoying for me because I really enjoy listening to music m and use my cell phone as an audio source for my high end audio components.

I have a 15 t touchsmart - j000 want I bought end of July and received in mid-August with the option audio beats.

Since I first turned the computer the sound would ignore or fluctuate.
I have observed the fluctuation when plugged into my stereo via the 3.5 mm headphone jack. It would sound like the volume would be lsightly fluctuate or may be missing some of the low-frequency end.

The most noticeable problem is the jump. He will make a jump noise that sounds as if the computer is bogged down with the material, even when all that is done is reading. This looks like the frequency in the lines.
It happens at random times in various circumstances. It occurs when playback of a music file but also listen to via spotify or pandora music or watching a video on youtube. The jump occurs under all these circumstances both the output to another source (headphones or speakers) as well as play through the built-in speakers.

Is it possible that I'm mising one driver? The sound card is messed up? Is this just a problem with the computer? is there a fix that does not require to refer me to hp?

I really need all the help I can get it starting to irritate me a lot and I don't want my warranty elapse before that I'm close to the question of fixing.

It seems to have solved the problem

That's how I went about the solution, if you can do it another way with the same end turn then the result for you!

1 - go to the drivers for the HP support site and leave the site determine your pc model number.

2 download the latest BIOS and IDT audio driver. Note where these files are saved.

    3. install the new BIOS and wat for the restart to finish.

    4. Remove IDT audio driver in Device Manager.

    5. install the new driver IDT and restart.

Since then I have not had any jump or fluctuation.

However, I had two cases where it makes the sound of crackling. But that's twice in four days, and I heard something that I don't need to hear three full days.

  • Beats Audio software and drivers

My daughter has an HP Envy 15 - u011dx x 360 system 64 bit 8 was on it when she bought I think (about 2 years) and it came with the software audio beats. She had to do a clean install of 10 can I but when she went on the HP support site it came and said that there is no drivers or software for his machine. How is she supposed ot reinstall beats, its cushion toouch software and any other software that came with the machine originally supplied with?

Are these drivers and software available somewhere and if so why, unlike most hardware from manufacturers, are they not available on the HP HP owner site?

    Hello:

The consumer PC HP support site crashed some time last night or early this morning.

All drivers and some other info such as specifications, manuals, etc. went from each model support page.

HP is aware of the issue and working to resolve it.

Given that I do not work for or represent HP, I can tell you when they will be working again.

But once he gets back to the top, your daughter will be able to install the drivers it needs for his laptop.

  • HP Envy Phoenix 810-130qe: Beats Audio Control Panel is missing after upgrade to Windows 10 anniversary

OK I need help with my HP Envy Phoenix 810-130qe desktop computer. My pc came with Windows Pro 8.1 and it had an audio panel where you can set the audio beats. When Windows 10 came out I've upgraded to Pro 10 Windows and my control panel audio beats was still on my pc and worked very well. Then, when Windows 10 anniversary came out August 2 my pc automatically updated for the anniversary edition. Everything was normal, but my control panel audio beats had disappeared and I was able to find it anywhere. Do anyone knows how I can get it back or if there is no driver I can download to get it.

  • How do I reinstall BEATS AUDIO into my computer TOUCHSMART from HP ENVY TILT 27

Hello. I had a big problen in my TOUCHSMART from HP ENVY TILT 27 computer, so I had to wipe everything out. The operating system that I had before, was 8.1 windows so I had to BEAT AUDIO, and now I have installed Windows 7 then beat Audio disappeared. Can someone tell me how to install it back.

    Hi there @Miguelaq,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that wipe you the drive and installed Windows 7 and now you're trying to find the Beats audio software. I'm happy to help you with this. Please report the number of complete product for your computer. Check out the following, if you need assistance with this information. How can I find my model number or product number?

With the model I can link the appropriate support page. Normally the Beats Audio software is part of the audio, such as driver for the IDT audio device.  Have you used a stand-alone OS disk to install Windows 7, or you use recovery media?

    Please let me know.

  • Beats Audio in Windows 8

    Hello...!

    I have

    HP-ENVY 6-1012TX

    Product number: B4Q12PA #UUF

    Operating system: windows 7(64 bit)

and I want to upgrade to WINDOWS 8 (64-bit),

but I've seen in this forum and and also with a friend of mine after having installed windows 8 panel AUDIO BEATS just disappears, I mean the driver is not installed.

so I need help in advance if I have that beats audio Panel and driver (what ever it is) after the installation of windows 8.

Please guide me carefully because this is my first post and I am new to this thing.

    THANKS in advance...

    Hello

The 'Beats' audio interface is provided by IDT software installer - upgrade Windows 8 on-site can (but not always) indeed break it, but it can be reinstalled as follows.

Once the upgrade to Windows 8 is complete, download and install the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8.

When the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

IDT Audio Driver - Windows 8.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

    Kind regards

  • Beats Audio does not work! Features totally lost!

Computer laptop HP Envy Touchsmart 14 specifications

    Processor - Intel i5 4th Gen

    NVIDIA GEFORCE graphics

    Hey there,

I recently updated my laptop for Windows 8.1, and there has been problems galore. Beats Audio has stopped working. It seems rather, he is always on even though I don't want whatever. Using fn + B does not help, nor does the activation or turn it off via the control panel Audio Beats. Initially I couldn't even check box on the tab 'Listening experience' in the control panel. After you follow the steps in this thread - http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Can-t-turn-on-Beats-Audio/td-p/1201775

Now I can manage check or uncheck the option in the Panel, but it has NO EFFECT.

This turns out be extremely annoying, please help me understand this.

    Hello piezoelectron

I'm sorry it took so long, but I think I have the solution for you here. I've updated a notebook here to 8.1 and after several attempts but I have the same problem you have. To solve it, I simply used the Recovery Manager to update the HP Quick Launch software provided on the laptop. Try following the steps below to see if that solves your problem.

Step 1. The type of menu tiles "Recovery."

    Step 2. Choose Recovery Manager

Step 3. Drivers and reinstall Applications

Step 4. Choose the software of HP Quick Launch

    Step 5. Install

    Step 6. Restart your computer

Now, this did not bring the Beats Audio Control Panel for me but he doesn't turn Beats Audio on and off the listening experience which is what you're after.

I would like to once again thank you for posting on the HP Forums and hope that this solution solves your problem. Have a great weekend!

  • How to completely remove Beats Audio from my system?

My computer is a number of product p7-1534, H2N63AA #ABA, running 64-bit Windows 8.1.  The audio driver was an IDT, downloaded directly at HP, specifically planned for my system.  I'm trying to figure out how to completely remove the Beats Audio from my system.  It appears in the Beats Audio, but don't control panel displays in the section programs, so I can't figure out how to uninstall IT... or it can be uninstalled without uninstalling the entire driver?  I tried to disable the Beats Audio screen and it cleared more of the effect it has on the audio, but not all - the bass is still substantially stronger than it should be.  All I want is for the music to sound just as it was initially recorded in the studio, not artificially enhanced by Beats Audio.

I think that I'm finally rid of him.  I searched drive C for 'beats' and 'beat' and erased all those who appear to be associated with the Beats Audio.  I had to do that three times, each time by removing all tht files Beats appeared in a search.  Finally, after the third startup, nothing showed up in the search.  My audio works just fine and no more Beats Audio.  I guess I could still run beats through the motherboard, but, as long as I don't try to run beats, it loads is no longer automatically at startup.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

Try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall your sound driver of origin (probably IDT) - the procedure to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document in question on the link below.

    Recovery Manager - Windows 8.

    Recovery Manager - Windows 7

    After reinstalling, restart the laptop.

If you are still missing the display on the screen for the volume, it can be reinstalled from the pack of software at the following link.

  • Active during songs with Beats Audio volume swings?

I recently took a 15-3033CL Envy.  While the audio sounds very good, I'm running a problem with wild volume swings in my music.  At first I thought it was my headset on the ear, so some earphones that I tried.  The problem seems less pronounced, but it came back again.  I've even heard this problem through the laptop speakers.  The music will start at a single volume, increase and reduce on its own.  It's incredibly distracting.  I made sure that I have the latest drivers and even the reinstalled without success.  I wonder if it isn't a software problem at all.  Note: if I disable the Beats, the problem seems calm, but maybe it's because the music is not as full as before and my ears aren't picking up the differences.  I tried to change different EQ presets and use by default.  I even tried a few custom settings, I found from a thread of advice of settings here.  Nothing seems to completely mitigate the issue.  I thought that it may be a problem of low-quality streaming of Pandora, so I tried my mp3s.  The question was always there.  I tried the music I have in format flac.  Less visible, but always there.  If I take these same headphones on my desk, the question isn't here.  The question seems to disappear at high volumes, but those aren't comfortable listening levels.

    So far I have tried:

    Pandora with computer speakers

Pandora with a headset on the ear, skullcandy

    Pandora with skullcandy headphones

Windows Media Player with 256 kbps MP3s with headphones and speakers latop

"Songbird with flac audio at the same time.

I've been using music is hard rock heavy metal.

HP Support Assistant today informed me with updates and one of these updates include a new version of the IDT Audio drivers. It seems that the volume changes are fixed finnally! Thank you HP
