m6-1178ea audio HP envy beats sound fluctuations and low windows 8.1 (no compatible drivers)

Hello

I have a laptop hp envy beats audio m6-1178ea. everything worked great until I upgraded to (forcibly) to windows 8.1. Since then, the audio has reduced in quality, power. The control panel with EQ does nothing. Small changes with the sidebar on the left, but in general the sound is it good and really low. When I plugin speakers or earphones, it's even worse, the quality declines more, the sound comes only out really low and flat, no bass and also varies a lot. (for example when I plugin the speakers for 1 second the sound is good and strong, and then he goes down and fluctuate). I have lived many forums like this one, I used the latest drivers (which are more than a year), I used the default windows drivers that disables audio beats, still nothing.

All solutions? Microsoft, HP will lead to a solution and the correct drivers?

Hello @fivos_,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I read your post about how there is an audio issue with your laptop after upgrade to Windows 8.1, and I'd be happy to help you!

As you said, the drivers for your computer and available software indicate that there is no compatible driver for your system. You can choose to reload Windows 8 on your system and configure your Windows updates to allow only certain updates to the installation. This document should help to upgrade your system to Windows 8.

I hope this helps!

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59501-60000/sp59882.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

Then, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8.

After reinstalling, restart the laptop and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again before checking if the Beats Audio is now listed in the windows control panel.

  • Reinstalled IDT audio driver now no sound on HP Mini Windows 7 210-1100

I was getting a sound of crackling periodically played audio throughout.  I checked the CPU performance and audio interference coincided with a spike in use (at 100%).   I reinstalled the IDT audio driver and restarted.   Now I have no sound.  The pilot explains how it works, but the taskbar icon shows no audio output device installed.

HP Mini 210-1100 running Windows 7 Starter.

    Hi Ken,

I have to admit that I'm starting to think that this can be a hardware problem and it is very little left to try about the software options.

It is always possible, however, that the problem is due to a kind of corruption of the operating system, so that a final procedure, he is interesting to try to reinstall the OS ( make sure that you back up all your files etc first personal )-there are different methods to do as it is stated in the document at the link below However the "f11 method" may be the fastest.  The other advantage to try this now, what HP can suggest well try a reinstall of the operating system before proceeding with the repair option, so if you have already done this, it should speed things up.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01895783

If the reinstallation of the operating system does not correct the problem, it is most certainly a hardware problem which will need to be repaired under warranty.

You can always check your warranty status here.

If you need to contact HP and arrange for the laptop repaired under warranty, phone numbers found on the corresponding link below.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

Let me know how it goes.

  • HP envy m6 1125dx: upgrade problem lower windows 7 installation

    Hi all

I read the long thread regarding the decommissioning of windows 8 to 7 64 "windows... drivers need. "and found it very useful and also found a site that has collected the drivers win 7 compatible with the model 1125dx and I installed win 7 with success at Christmas for my girlfriend.  But now I need to recreate this facility and cannot win 7 to install.

Recently, she has lost the function of mouse (seemed to be caused either by an update of windows driver touchpad or because we installed a keyboard/mouse wireless logitec - both happened at the same time). Strangely, I could not restore to an earlier point that windows would be Basel during the restoration. I deleted the mouse driver and then it worked until you restart and then the mouse would freeze again after recognizing him and by installing the mouse driver. I found an "unknown pci device" in device manager and thought it might conflict a address so I removed it. This is turned out to be the keyboard then neither worked and since I could not restore (and Windows 7 if found says recovery disc start errors which he attempted in vain to fix) in frustration I decided to do a fresh install, but here is where I'm stuck.

I remember I had to load at least one or maybe install some drivers chipset as an option advanced before win 7 and I think that I have found (using the suggested since a comparable win 7 64 laptop chipset driver listed in the forum). I loaded all the listed drivers compatible with my hardware (except got an error the two USB drivers-error message indicating a need to update drivers - but hope to win 7 would install at least). Unfortunately, I get the dreaded message 'windows can install the hardware of the machine '. I wonder if I need additional / better chipset drivers or if maybe his laptop has a problem at the level of the material and I'll spend more days don't not because something fried/corrupted.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello:

    See if it works...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx? AGR = Y & ProdId = 2101 & DwnldID = 23060 & keyword = Intel + Rapi...

Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without all records.

With the flash drive plugged into a USB2 port and the W7 installation media into the machine, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and hopefully, W7 should install.

If it works, for the drivers and software, you can use all the W7 x 64 drivers and software the m6t-1000, except the BIOS and firmware files.

Notepad you work has the graphics card Intel HD, not the AMD one.

  • Is integrated audio (Audio envy;) Beats Audio) good, or do I have to upgrade to a sound card?

I am considering a desktop HP Envy Phoenix 810-130qe computer. not a gamer, but as the music & videos. Is the integrated audio quality?

    Haaa, welcome to the forum.

I can't answer the question of personal knowledge, but I had several HP computers, none is as beautiful as this one.  I'm a musician who is very picky with how the music on my computer sounds.  I've never used anything sound integrated.  I use 12-year old Polk Audio loudspeakers with my h8 1228 and they sound very good.  My next speakers will be speakers Bose computer USB.  They provide their own power.  They are quite expensive, but worth it.

I know there posted solutions, but my problem is a little different though. My sound is flunctuate only when I looked at Amazon prime (perhaps other streaming websites too, but it's the one I use), so I followed a solution posted on a thread here, where I went to the Manager device and under the sound, I replaced a driver of speakers by another, who was already on my computer. The thing is that now the volume and the overall sound quality is way worse and I can't seem to find a way to get back to it... Can someone please. Thank you!!

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question on your HP laptop and your Beats Audio does not work properly after upgrading to Windows 10. Here is a link to help solve the speakers and sound does not work correctly.

The link by using the Windows troubleshooting tool is the best for this situation.

    You can also try.

    1. right click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your time.
    2. click on playback devices.
    3. click on the speakers.
    4. click on properties.
    5. click on the Advanced tab in the Properties window.

    7. click on apply. Reboot the laptop.

You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

If that's not enough to uninstall the Realtek HD Audio and other that are listed in Device Manager, click the arrow next to its video and controller to expand this category games
Click on it Audio IDT high definition (HD), and then select Update driver software.
Select search automatically for updated driver software.

The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver.
Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.
