beep of adapter hp

a month back I got my notebook dv6 3056tx battery not charging. But until now, I still manage my laptop because I use my laptop very less. Today, when I started to plug my adapter and started using the laptop, a sound came from the adapter. When I close the power switch, after 5 seconds, it stopped beeping. What could be the problem. I need to replace immediately, otherwise it is due to damage of the batteries? If I nned to replace my card how can I find the model number of my card? Pls help...

Thank you very much in advance

Adapters occasionally buzz and whine before I die. It is the circuit which changes its very high power of the wall for the DC power to the laptop. There are doors and switches in there makes a little move and they can make some noise. The adapter could work like that for months or die tomorrow, but you need to replace it as soon as POSSIBLE and keep an eye on it. Don't let that he plugged into the laptop at night, for example. There's a chance very slightly high fire.

Can anyone help? A few days ago the Liteon Pack power supply / adapter for my Equium A60 (EA60-156) started beeping and my battery stopped charging! LED to indicate the connection plug is more lights and my battery is dying slowly.

If anyone has had this problem before or know what happened. This is the adapter or the laptop that broke?

I plugged adapter Satalite Pro L20 a friend to my Equium and the network LED lights or, even if two adapters are 19V and provided by Toshiba! This suggests to me that the internal battery can be ruined?

I can't find all of the resources on the web to help solve this problem!

    Thank you

    Hi Mike,.

It is unlikely to be a problem with your internal battery. Your A60 should work quite happy to power even with the battery removed. The fact that you do not get the power LED when you connect two charger shows that it is likely to be a problem with the socket on your A60 or with internal electronics that control functions AC (battery etc.).

It would be a good idea to have the device controlled by your partner to the closest authorized Service to verify what is exactly the problem.

  • Satellite A60 - adapter not work and make a beep

    Hello

Hope this is the right forum.

I have a laptop Toshiba A60 series, I don't know if his satelliate or A60 Equium, but it is.

In any case this week adapter does not work. I had plugged and initially it seemed that he was not charging the laptop, even if the light on the adapter on and now the lights and all I can hear is a beep - even when it is not plugged into the laptop.

My laptop is now to zero battery so I can not even turn on, it's just flashing orange all the time.

I guess that the adapter just does not? Do I have to get a new adapter? Please tell me I don't have a new laptop of geta - I have some stuff I want to keep.

    Thank you very much

    > My laptop is now to zero battery so I can not even turn on, it's just flashing orange all the time.
In my opinion, this isn't a problem with AC adapter
If computers laptops just flashing orange LED power then it means that a (possible motherboard) error has been detected.
The flashing provides an error code and it can be read by a technician for laptop.

In your case I would not buy a new AC adapter because you are not 100% sure what case this question. I think the laptop must be checked to see what could be the problem and then you could decide on the further handling.

  • My computer keep beep, sayplug in battery adapt, it is plugged. What can I do?

I can't stop my computer from a sound signal. He says to plug the battery, but it is connected to the computer. Its ruin my computer each time that it beep. WHA I can do? My battery does not charge.

    Hi AW-7,

Something similar just happened to me.  The first time they fixed it, they have replaced the adapter and the problem is solved.  5 months later it started to happen again and this time they replaced the battery, the motherboard and the milling table (thanks to heaven, it is still under warranty).  Fortunately, thanks to the new adapters, battery started to load and the experience does not seem to damage it in any way (but you should keep your eyes on it anyway just in case).

How they were able to say on my laptop - a Dell E1705 (other than just experience and common sense) was to go into the BIOS (starts, it should be a brief Flash on the screen telling you how to enter the BIOS setup or menu of the BIOS (usually F2) and check the battery information.  He showed that the power adapter 'unidentified' instead "90W" list which should be when it is working properly and that the battery was not complete and not charging well plugged.  They changed the motherboard and the roll the second time because it could also cause the adapter is not being recognized by the battery (or battery not the adapter to recognize the AC).

The beep is caused by power and its configured settings to warn you of a low and critical battery condition.  In a normal situation, the computer will work right next to the power adapter and does not the battery (it is a way to help maintain the battery life is to run periodically and refill if we leave normally plugged in most of the time).  If you remove the batttery entirely, the laptop will power?  If this isn't the case, it is certainly at least the adapter or the motherboard.  Eventually the battery will get if low, that he's going to sleep or hibernation, or the system stops (you should shut down normally before him to cold shutdown like that).  If If, then I expect the tone to go further because it will detect is no longer a low battery charge, because there is no battery - but then you'll want to be sure to use either a battery backup UPS, or at least a surge protector otherwise already in place because if you lose the laptop battery will crash hard and this is not good for her.

I'm using 32 bit Vista Business SP2 and in Control Panel / sounds / Sounds there is an option for low battery alert. The default to have this. In this situation, you can turn off to avoid the beep (even though I'm at a loss for which is why "it messes up your computer" when it does like all he must do is beep). In addition, you can go into Control Panel / Power Options, click the plan settings and click on battery.  It will provide you with levels of low battery and critical battery and you provide measures to be taken in such a case.  If you are unable to operate the system without battery and it is so weak that the alerts began, you probably fell to 11-5% remaining.  You can adjust actions to nothing for bass and stop to criticism that 5% is about as close as you want to get to the point where you can hang.  Then, you just need to wait until it is repaired and the appropriate parts are replaced.

Even if you have still some life in it, it is best to contact the manufacturer (they the some have the right parts) or a computer of reputable workshop to get a good diagnosis (perhaps by phone at first), a determination of what must be fixed, the applicable fees, schedule, if it is still under any kind of warranty , and what needs to be done in which order of repair.  They can find the adapter is OK and it is just the battery (or vice-versa or two or more).  But that's essentially where you need start.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • HP Pavilion DV7-2015tx adapter beep and not charging.

I desperately need help. I have a pavilion laptop Dv7-2015tx computer and my adapter is beeping and refusing to load. My battery recently failed, and so I can't turn on my laptop. I tried a hard reset, I tried to leave it unplugged for an hour and even shaking autour as suggested by some people on some forums as a solution. The light on the adapter is not on, and this problem has happened 2 times before, both times, the adapter has continued to work after about an hour to be disconnected. This time he didn't. I contacted HP telephone support, but they said that I was going to post a MASSIVE $33 phone support because it was out of warranty. I can't find an answer on this forum and want to be able to find a solution without having to buy another card. Before this problem, my laptop was turned off for a day and a night while being plugged. I desperately need help, please answer from HP.

I'm certainly not under warranty, but I have a solution anyway. I called HP customer care again and this time I was told that it is a good, hard to solve the problem. The only solution is a new adapter, but I found a new on for under $ $20 on eBay still we made a simple diagnosis, for example, by ensuring that it was still beeps when it is plugged into the wall but not the laptop, and the fire was still out. I'm still bummed that I have to wait for delivery, but my laptop needs to go in a factory repair for a noisy fan problem, and also a radiator problem that caused my laptop to get up to 70 degrees, so it's a good time to wait.

My Toshiba Satellite M35x, when it is plugged in, just start discharge and beep.
He always did regularly, like every two months or more. But these days, the computer was unusable.

When it IS plugged in, it will start beeping and I'll see a screen like this:
    http://farm2.static.Flickr.com/1060/1191838676_86e9047a5a_o.jpg
Then, the computer will die and I can not restart for about an hour.
This happens when it is plugged!

The display shows even "generator, AC.
What is going on? I just can't get anything done.
It's a beep again and carry out again as I have this type.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Hello

I can't say that if the problem is truly software related, in this case, you're on your own. Then you should try the following:

All data backup and recover the machine to check if the problem appears after the relocation of the entire system.
But don t install something else except the recovery, it's the most important thing.

The other solution would be to contact a local servicepartner for a checkup of material. They will see if your machine has some serious hardware malfunction, so they exchange defective parts in case of hardware problems.

Here´s a link to find the service/service partner:

  • Beep of LiteOn AC adapter

Recently, my father took my Toshiba laptop on business with him. When he returned, I noticed that the AC adapter has been a sound signal and would not charge the computer. Has anyone else had a problem like this? The adapter is screwed? or is the wrong thing? Any help would be appreciated more...

    Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. In my opinion, there are two possibilities. Or at - there some problem with adapter, or perhaps with electronic power supply.

Try to get the same adapter and test it properly. On this way, you can see if the same thing happens again. If the power adapter is fault don t worry not about this. A new is not so expensive.

    Good bye

  • Type 'L' and 't' of MagSafe adapter

    Good evening

I am a very happy owner of a MacBook Pro 15 inch medio 2009. Yes still work after 7 years. At least it's better that the MacBook Pro from my little brother of 2011 that fell down right after the warranty expired and my iMac 27 inches which is now collecting dust in a room of friends and is in fact a beep very expensive device, but I digress, these are different stories altogether.

I want to talk to you about the MagSafe adapter. Today my second purchase card was getting the on-off-on thing. As you can probably guess that means a broken cable. Just the place where the cable meets the adapter. So no need to buy a new adapter fix my old one or find a replacement of second hand in some markets. Probably the scale of these three. I didn't intend to buy a new adapter via the Mac store because they are not exactly cheap (especially when you need to buy a new one every three years). As a side note, I just want to add that I always drive cable so that there is no strain on the connection (just do two coils, one for the power supply and one for the cable). I do not use clips added to the adapter I think personally you bend the cable too and that this will reduce the service life of the cable. I really hate these clips.

Please fix this problem. I'm not the only one with this problem. Just make a connection as the power cable! If its possible to disconnect the cable altogether. In this way, every three years (in collaboration with a new cable for my iPhone!) just to buy a new cable. Maybe make a package deal?

The second thing. When I bought my mac, I got the adapter in the form of T I liked how the cable would break when someone stumbles on the wires. The connector to break at every angle so it was also perfect. Right now, I have the adapter of the square. When I attach it on my mac with the wire that goes to the rear (as I usually do) the wire emerges not off directly when pulled the shape of the back and any direction from the back and going clockwise. If the Mac is to shot before the wire snaps finally off.

So that's all. Ow I almost forgot. Plastic feet came just after the warranty too haha. Later still a happy customer. I mean... laptop 7 years and continues to do better that most of the more recent Junk I see everywhere. With the exception of the games is... I play indie games now, for the most

You could look through the various models that are displayed on the next page (link)

Note There are a few versions of 't' and 'L' for MagSafe and more recent MagSafe2.

the search results for "magsafe adapters at macsales.com" - product examples:

Be sure to get the correct one for your computer.

Not sure if welovemacs.com or powerbookmedic.com is replacement feet in sets.

Some or the other usually has them in stock. Other repair online services have parts

and he can ask. wegenermedia's a lot of complete repair; a inventory.

    In any case...

    Good luck & happy computing!

  • All in a single CN583A: 3 Long beeps 4 short (more sharp) 5 times; then the PC starts

I can't find an answer to this particular sequence of beep codes. One is around the age of five months. After the series of 3 short beeps long 4 appears five times, the PC boots to the desktop.

Any suggestions? The PC is under warranty, but it would be nice if there was a simple fix first.

Pulling on the keyboard/mouse Wireless USB adapter and start the system back if it did the trick. When I plugged in a different USB port on the adapter and not restarted, no beeps. Offered to the customer she replace the two keyboard and mouse just to be sure.

  • Satellite Pro A100-080 does not start - stays dark after 3 beeps

    Hello
After a week off, the Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-080 (PSAASE-00G004GR, 4 GB RAM) of my kids start not anymore.
When turn on/off the system, he * will beep 3 times * (one long, two short beeps), the HDisk light flashes 'blue' and then nothing more. A/c and battery power LED are 'blue', which seem to be OK status.
No other useful help, as the screen remains dark.

We had upgraded to 4 GB MEM (Kingston) a year ago and I already tried the old used 1 GB (included with purchase) or the replacement of 2 x 1 GB since December 2007, but equal status with these modules. This is not
    a defect of memory.

I hope that this is not the motherboard, probably only the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics included adapter?
Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

    Thx for a short help.

    Hello

Generally this type of beep codes are hardware related or with other words, hardware is defective. So I think it's a hardware problem and an ASP must check your laptop computer to identify the cause of this.

On the Toshiba site, you will find a list of aspic:

  • Satellite R630-14 days - adapter are a constant high noise

I don't know if it's may be normal, but I think that my charger did not have this noise a few months ago.
I got my Satellite R630 14 days in November 2010.

Since a few weeks my charger will beep (a very high constant noise) when my laptop gets loaded or even when the charger is plugged in the computer.

Everyone is the same a issue or whether it is a case for Toshiba support?

    Thanks for the reply
    Nicolas

    Hello

The constant high noise could be caused by broken AC adapter cable.

This noise is normal for power and appears especially if a cable or an AC adapter is defective.

I think you should test a new adapter.

    Good luck

  • Satellite U300 beeps occasionally

My laptop makes a something like a beep that lasts a second time at the time.
Does it only when it is on the current (the battery is still on).

Any ideeas on what could cause this?

    Hello

I don't know what the cause of this problem but I think it's the motherboard or AC/DC adapter.

The best way is to go to an ASP (authorized service provider) and allow you to check your machine. You will find an ASP on this site -online support download & => find an autohorised provider.

    Quote from Wikipedia:

S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format) is a type of digital audio interconnection, used in audio devices to the audio output over relatively short distances.

In any case, it's time to "responsibly recycle" this motherboard and get a new one.

You traded all that was possible exchange, without solving the problem.

Pull on all small riders off the coast of the old MOBO and then save them.  They might be useful.

Try to find a MOBO from the same manufacturer with the same type of CPU (Intel processor) or AMD in AMD.

That increases the chances of (stored on the current hard disk) Windows being able to reconfigure itself to adapt to the new hardware configuration.  This "correspondent" also helps to position all the external (USB, Ethernet) audio connectors on the new MOBO to physically enter your current case.

  • Satellite A30: when the adapter is connected the battery stops charging

Using a Satellite A30 about three years. Recent problem is that while the power adapter is plugged the battery stops in charge, the orange battery indicator turns off.

If you look at the power management utility battery poweer bed On Line, % of discharge meter

So he can load either, I have to turn the machine off (completely or to hibernate) then remove the power cable and reintegrate them, then the battery light turns on. When restart the battery will begin charging for a while, and then for no apparent reason in defence start.

If left reaches 0% battery - the machine continues to operate when the power cable is connected so its power do ok, but of course starts to beep when it goes below 10%. To get it going again, I need to stop and restart etc.

I have checked the bios and have the latest version.

I cleaned around the outlet heat exchanger and deleted all the fluff.

I use a generic adapter that the original does not, but as far as I can tell its working normally.

    All thoughts

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Your problem is caused by a bad connection where the power adapter is connected to the Jack at the back of your laptop. A slight movement of the cable causes a momentary loss of contact and electronics of management power in Notepad is deceived into beleiving that the battery is no longer available, in which case when the battery goes out and the laptop will return to the battery power even if the AC adapter is connected. As you have already discovered, turn off the laptop will be all back to normal.

I have experienced the same situation with my A30-141 and have not yet found one solution other than to resort to power off the laptop computer, but I managed to avoid the problem occurs by pinching the cable ca at the back of the laptop so that there is no risk of power do not connect the bending in order to trigger the problem in the first place. This has been a remarkable success to date, and I didn't have a problem for several months now.

Obviously, it is not a "cure" for the problem but the frustration it causes.

    Kind regards
