I use an incremental encoder on the NI 9411 DI2b (A) DI4b (Z), DI5b (B) as a differential pin configuration.
I need to create a virtual channel to access the physical inputs? If Yes, then should I consider using input digital or counter of entry?
And what would my physical channel for the same thing?
I want to use the encoder to get Crank Angle of the encoder for the degree of pressure Crank Angle V/S on my installation.

Do you want to download content when you make a purchase or do you just unlock code? If you download content RIM hosts it similar to the file of the application bar? Or do I need to have my own downloadable content server host? (or maybe a 3rd party like scoreloop)
So, for example, if I make a game with 50 levels and the basic version is only from 30. Can I code upwards and release all 50 in a folder bar but wrap access to 20 of these levels within some type of if statement where I check the receipts of payment?
OR you release the game with 30 levels and then once the user makes the payment that they download the 20 extra on their phone?
I am currently looking by making payments in application, that is why I ask. Initially I thought that you have downloaded the content (like xbox DLC) but the code example / documentation doesn't mention anything about downloading content.

It's 100% up to you. If the files are large, so it may make sense to build them in the application so that the user doesn't have to wait to download.
All downloads need to be hosted by you, the App World servers only host apps.

My situation: I have a HP digital osciloscope, a HP 54602 B using the GPIB and trial version of labview 8.6. Now, I want to communicate with her from labview. The big question is: how? Before that I used only labview with NI DAQ card and serial port for communications of the instrument.

Welcome to the world of instrument in LabVIEW Control! I'll try and answer your questions one-at-a-time:
- N ° from a point of view of LabVIEW, you can use any interface supported by VISA and your instrument bus. This includes (but is not limited to) boards of NOR-GPIB, 3rd-party GPIB, USB, LAN, LXI, VXI, PXI, etc.. Of course, if you do not have a GPIB interface, I would recommend a NEITHER - this is the safest way to get the experience 'it works '. I tend to use an adapter USB GPIB (DISCLAIMER - I work for the OR).
- You have two options for installing the device driver. "" The simplest is in LabVIEW to select Tools "Instrumentation" instrument Drivers find... and use our instrument driver search tool which will be step helps you locate, by downloading and installing the driver. The other option is to download the zip file, unzip it in
\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\instr.lib and restart LabVIEW. So if you look in your palette of instrumentation, you should see the driver listed under instrument drivers. The pilot will include some examples of the use of the driver (are all certified instrument drivers). In fact, I would recommend this driver rather than that you connected. It is a more modern design and install examples in the viewfinder of the example ("Help" find examples...).

Getting started with Java development and fairly new to BlackBerry, so I have a few questions that I hope are easily treated.
(1) I am aware that there are different levels of API for Java on BlackBerry. I need to write an application that is a little more sophisticated than a web app, but not need features like GPS or motion control. I would like to reach a large part of the audience with a single application. Is BlackBerry JDE 4.0 the best choice
(2) should what screen size I write to? Is there a small number of standard sizes, or is it everywhere in the jury? Are there still many people using monochrome displays or can only be ignored?
(3) at some point I need to show my boss of information on what the BlackBerry user market looks like in terms of peripheral distribution and give him a pretty good guess as to what percentage of this market will reach our application. Where can I find this information?
(4) I really need one of the features is the ability to view external documents from within my application. These documents are mainly PDF files, Microsoft Word or HTML documents. Is it possible on BlackBerry without writing my own code to decode documents? (For example on the iPhone, I can just open a document viewer and pass it a URL).
(5) I saw some references to a 'business' server or a "synchronization server" that I do not completely understand. In the application, I want to write, all I need to do is to make a HTTP request to a server on the internet and analyze XML data that it returns. I guess that will be OK? Will I have access to a XML parser and HTTP connection object somehow? There is a limitation with regard to what I can connect to the servers?

I'll answer 1, 2, and 5 for you, although others may have answers to spare.
1. it is a matter of how many devices you want to achieve. I think that 4.6 is to achieve a good balance between compatibility and the camera, well that others may say, 4.5 or 4.2, for legacy devices.
2. I don't think you need worry too much about the size of the screen, unless you do things that are explicitly graphic, want to do your own drawing for a game or something. If you add a standard user interface elements, should ebb of things, but you obviously test on multiple devices if you are worried a lot about this.
5. you can certainly analyze content XML on the internet (there are DOM and SAX parsers), but you have to be concerned about the methods of connection on a mobile device, if the connection is by proxy through a corporate server, through the Blackberry Internet Service in public or through the carrier's internet gateway. There are here some guides on how to handle this.

I had because I'm a Web Developer and realized that my sites are rendered poorly on smart phones like the BlackBerry and iPhone. I find it almost impossible to find how to solve this problem!
My first question, then, is: where can I find a primer on the latest mobile operating systems and how to code for their browser?
I have also some other pressing queries:
- Is it possible to code a site for, say, my BB Pearl and find that it will make so well on other smartphones? (I mean, is there a generic protocol that will work)
- The BlackBerry has a problem with jQuery? Mine is not running, but I thought that it was working with mobile devices?
- HOW did you this excellent on the side-slide transition in Facebook for BB? I want that!

Beginner question: 'active' setting does not
Sorry for the very noob question but I am just learning AE scripting. I try to use a script command to disable the eyeball on a layer. As I understand it, the syntax for the parameter is:
App.Project.Item (index) .layer (index) true
For the test, I created a unique model, and in this model, I have a solid single. I created an expression with the line
App.Project.Item (1) .layer (1) true = 'False ';
But when I run it nothing happens. It returns an error but the layer remains enabled. Please can someone explain why it does not work?
Try this way:

Beginner question: resizing/scaling of images, STROKE and workflow.
Hi all. I am new to the world of the Illustrator/design, so my apologies for what may seem like a stupid question and I thank you in advance for the advice.
Basically, I created an image in illustrator that I want to use at different sizes. I thought at the start: "Hey, it's all the stuff of vector, so I should just be able measure it goes up and down without problem! However, I quickly realized that while paths are vectors, the stroke applied to paths are not, and they do not change proportionally when I adapt paths. So, if I increase the size of the image, the objects that were once touching now have gaps between them, and if I reduce the size of the image, certain traits begin to overlap. Just to be perfectly clear on what I'm talking about, here are a few screenshots:

My questions are:
- Was my assumption that 'Illustrator files can be resized easily and inconsequential"simplistic and erroneous? (It seems that it is!) Please help me understand how illustrator is or is not useful to create scalable images.
- Is the right way to manage this just to determine the need for size and have separate AI for each size files, or is there a way to 'better' which implies not manually kicks setting for images of different sizes?
- Third option of comedy!

The perception of the way it should be is correct; but there are a few strangenesses that can mess things up.
An important one if you have strokes & effects of scale checked or unchecked, in this case, it must be checked, and I believe that it is unchecked.
You can find it in the Transform palette dialog box.
You can consider the object > path > feature of contour, then Ctrl / Cmd + SHIFT + G to ungroup, then Pathfinder > unite to change the path traced in a simple filling/nostroke. This will work regardless of features & scale effects.
Another important is the ghost of pixel grid Align attribute which may haunt you, know well in other cases; often you can recognize by distortions. If it isn't:
You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher.
And you can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

Beginner question: best way to add users for Secure Login Page ADF

I developed a custom Login Page and created two users "abc" and "def". I am successfully able to connect, make redirects and disconnection. Now my question is, if I have to add users to applications, should I add in JAZN-"Data.xml". in Jdeveloper. Assuming that I have to add users in JAZN-"Data.xml", here are my questions
1 it will be through Jdeveloper?. If Yes, what I have to redeploy the application every time I add users.
2 how the Admins can add users once the development done?

RAW Device Mapping / beginner question
Hello list,
I'm totally new to RDMS, so I have a basic question. I have a snapshot of LUN (Dell Clariion CX3-20) to a NTFS logical unit number (1 TB, a lot of Windows file as doc, pdf, etc.).
Can I mount this snapshot in a virtual machine? Can I use RDM to achieve?
If so, is - anyone can explain this in detail a bit?

If a snapshot of a physical system is the answer is Yes (wink CX are the same as LUNS).
If it is a snapshot of a computer virtual with a RDM, the answer is "maybe" (you must play with LVM advanced options).

Beginner Question - Javascript processing batch

I'm new to Acrobat scripting/batch processing and have a few questions about my task at hand. My first question is: is it possible to create a sequence of commands Dynamics ? I have to write a sequence of commands using javascript to a PDF to a file, merge them together, apply some culture settings and save the PDF file merged into a different folder. This should be automated, but the source folder and the destination folder might be different each time. Is it possible to make a sequence of dynamic commands used folders may have somehow?
Perhaps it is not yet possible, but if someone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

You can use a global object to store the package paths
collected and then access them in the script which merges the files.
This script, created by me, uses exactly this method to collect the paths
two files and then interleave (merge) files in them to an exit

Beginner question: UL Nav Menu and text
OK, I appreciate the input in advance. Even if I use one book Dreamweaver and online tools like Lynda.com... There are a few questions that I have not found the answer too, or don't know how to phrase my question correctly in a browser search to find the right answer...
So, my question:
I used the Spry which are great, but I took the time to learn how to create a Pull Down Menu of a non ordered list and CSS Nav.
This UL is driven by text in the list... so what to do if you want to create a type of unsorted list Nav menu drop down, but to use only background for the menu nav graphics (i.e. the text is already anchored in the graph from Photoshop or the graph has no text and is just a chart). Whenever I completely remove the text of a list item, that do list element disappears, which makes sense, but the question of how to create a Nav Menu with only the graphics that will crumble in several levels?
Is what I ask not a real standard practice and I shouldn't do that?
If there was a menu of level one, I know that I could use floated just the DIV tags, but since I pull down I don't see how it works in a nested multiple Nav drop-down Menu.
Again, sorry for the noob question... and I thank you in advance for your answers.

In FrameMaker documents, you can navigate to something that will become a link in a PDF document to its source, with a "hyperclick" on the page entries table of contents and indexes in the generated files and references or hyperlinks not generated documents. A hyperclick is Ctrl + Alt + click. There is no click back. You can lock the FrameMaker documents to make these active links with a single click and use the dos commands and others on the Navigation menu that appears when a locked document is active.
To lock or unlock a document for the type of hypertext navigation and release these keys in order: F Escape (must be uppercase) l (lowercase ' el' not important 'eye' or number one) k (must be lowercase). I remember as "(F) Island (l) oc (k).»
Google search for words like 'Lock of FrameMaker for hypertext Documents' and "FrameMaker navigation Menu" without the quotes, for more information on these techniques.
Also, you can use the dialog box insert reference allows to browse some sort of plan file, by selecting a paragraph format such as a cap, on the left and scroll through these paragraphs on the right. Page numbers, you can see the list below indicate the first and last page of the paragraphs in the list above. It's a little inaccurate, but useful.
You can also generate table of contents or index or list of external cross-references (special > list of > references > external cross references), and then close window of the file generated to fit in the workspace to the sides of the active document. Hyperclick in the generated files, or lock files and a simple click on an entry, to navigate to the location linked in any other file is advanced to.

In PS CS5, I've hidden a rectangular selection on my first photo. Then I dragged a picture 2nd on the 1st picture using the move tool and it creates a new layer that I now see photo part 2 out of rectangular selection of the photo from my 1st I chose a minute ago. So far so good.
However, I don't see a part of the 2nd photo through the window because the window is not big enough for all the 2nd photo be seen. Is it possible to reduce the size of only the 2nd photo, so that the entire 2nd photo is small enough to be seen with the 1st pictures of rectangular selection?

If I understand your question, the process is quite simple.
1. make sure that the layer with the part you want to resize is the active layer
2. click on "cmd" + "a".
3. go to 'Edit' drop down menu and select: "transform": "scale".
4. drag the corner of the frame until you have the size you want, and then press ENTER. To limit the proportions hold down the SHIFT key when you drag.

Beginner: Question of Date validator on live docs example.
Study this example below raise questions, I can not find easy answers for in the livedocs.
1.) why do we need (just a structure object) model? In the date validator I note that we can not put source = "{dateInput.tyext}" "
2.0) the model has an id of "alternateDate", this change makes no difference.
2.1) connected to question 2, how dateValidator uses model because it has no reference to the model.
3.) don't the code below work when you have more than 1 effective date, do you need a model and a separate validator date for each date entry field? This creates a circular problem as there seems to be a link between the dateValidator implicit and model... confused. This means that I have no way to link the models to date validators.

You can not put source = "{dateInput.tyext}", but you can have source "{dateInput}" = and = 'text' property. " The example already done that, IE. He observes the TextInput control directly. If you remove the template in the example should always work.

What is the right way to generate a menu for a Web site? I built my home page with header, footer and side menu that I love. Now, I want to build pages the menu linked while maintaining the header and menus. What is the right approach? My code is written in html and css. I use to develop websites in html pure and used frameworks but I know that they are not recommended. Also, I don't want to copy my code in each link.
If you could also recommend a tutorial starting on page layout for css Web sites, I would greatly appreciate. I read by w3schools tutorials and a few others.

You have 2 choices:
- Templates
- Server Side Includes
With the help of the function template in Dreamweaver is a good way to go if it's a small site. .
For the largest sites then serverside includes would be more convenient and easier for maintenance purposes.
Templates:
You create a master page, you declare which areas will be the same for all pages, (non editable regions) and then to declare an area that will be
change on each page (content area), editable regions.
Once you create the template and save it, you can create pages of this model - as much as you like :-) "child" so you all need to make a change to the menu or the footer or header, change it in the main template, save it, and the changes will be flowing through the pages of the child created from the template.

When you make a change to a page template, you will need to re - download all pages on the server that have been modified - can become very tedious if it is a very large site.
With the help of SSI, you make a change to a file and don't have to download a single file and all of the pages on the server will be updated accordingly.
