When you reduce the size of the image generally the image will look a little blurry and losing some details. When you are in the Image/image size window, you can change the size of your file now "resample" option on and try the algorithm diverse offering of Photoshop, you can find them in the drop-down list, preview, if the final effect.   If your native images are rectangles and square, you must use the crop tool to get the defined areas. Otherwise, your images will appear distorted.  Unfortunately, batch cropping rarely works well less that all the images are perfectly framed and centered.  From my experience, cropping requires human judgment.

  That said, you can create a crop tool Preset (size & resolution) that can help further your workflow.

• How to I resize a larger image 72 DPI to the smaller image quality but of good size stick in the brochure

  Hi, I'm trying to resize a larger image from wide 16 cm saved at 72 dpi for a smaller image of wide from 5 cm to quality for the prompt for an art show I'm having. I think there a lot of information on the picture therefore it is great, I just want it condensed into a smaller image. If I adjust the size of 5 cm wide, it changes the dpi to 230 which would be better for printing (the 72 dpi is much too grainy). However when I stick it in the flyer that I do in photoshop it sticks like a massive picture. I then tried to drag the corners to make the right size and it became even longer than a 5cm wide 72 dpi image. I hope that makes sense for a person. So basically I need a large document size of 5cm that I can put in my small circular which is the best quality that I can do! Thanks in advance!

  What the PPI is the file that you are trying to drag in?

  You are able to view your office showing the two files... ?

  If you convert 16 cm/72 DPI image in the image of 5 cm/240ppi and then save. Then check the ppi with the flyer. If the flyer is still important with a low resolution will give you the cross between them so the magnified image of the ppi is displayed in big on the flyer paper.

  I want to know is if I can pretty well just select the brush strokes and filling on a coat of paint and have the strokes left alone.

  I want to filter, and then fade brush strokes and fill on the paint layer but keep the sharp pencil lines, I made a paint filling and brush rubbed on a different layer than the pencil strokes, but it takes forever because I draw the image each time twice, using the brush strokes to go along the pencil lines so I can fill it with a color, if I could their blur on the same layer without the pencil strokes then I could fill just the pencil lines the lines with the Brush tool with paint instead of redarwing if that makes sense.

  If you convert a movieclip (right click > convert to symbol > movieclip) everything that you want to filter, you can filter it is independent of other objects.

• Resize the Bitmap image in the image control in flex3

  I'm loading an image in the image at the start control. Then I am a color transformation applying to this image and want to load this bitmap in flex3. That works, but automatic resizing does not work then. If I load another image, then AutoSize works well. Image control does not support resizing of the same bitmap object image?.

  You must create the BitmapData as the size of the original loaded image, not mx:Image height and width. Simply convert you / copy only a portion of the original size that matches the size of the Image. That is to say. whether you have a picture of 400 x 400 and your Image is 100 x 100. Your BitmapData is created at 100 x 100, NOT 400 x 400, you need to do. Everything simply because you resize the Image, does not mean that the underlying BitmapData is also resized.

  Also, in general, addChild would serve after removeChild, never used charge myself. Not sure if this is important.
