Beginning of DB RAC

Hi all

I doubt anything can give some inside information.

-> I have 2 node RAC 11.2.0.4 in RHEL 6.5

-> can I start and stop my 2 ways rac database

1 I'll go to any node of my - and start and stop by SRVCTL START/STOP database d <>

2nd through an instance

Please tell me what is the difference between these two or both are the same?

Kind regards

Hi Aman,

Yes, but I don't know if he is asked in interview or not. But I don't have knowledge on SRVCTL it will update the ocr, but not in case of departure from node to node. Also, there is view of database, in this also not going to update.

Kind regards

Arya

When you say, by 'node' reboot, I have to assume that you are referring to use SQL * PLUS and from an instance with it. Which is not recommended in a cluster environment because it's been a few times can lead to contradictory result from orders of crsctl as OCR can not updated correctly. I have not seen that any view will not be up-to-date. Views are in the database and there is no reason they reflect is not the current situation and correct.

for example, a configuration "Reset to factory defaults".

This should be OK because the Jenkins account is used only for this build process.

What should I do to achieve this? I see that there is a directory ~/.cache/mozilla, but appears not to be the magical place I'm looking for...

  • Need to reset the button by default when you use the structure of the event?

When you use the buttons with a mechanical action "releasing lock" to only trigger the same structure with the same 'value has changed', the button does not jump upwards as you would expect.  I can get to behave as I want by adding a "default reset" invoke the node, but this seems somewhat exaggerated.  Is there an easier way to get the button to jump to the top after pressing on?

The button will reset once it is read by the code. This means that the terminal is inside the structure of the event. If you move outside the terminal, it would read only the beginning of the race and then never and it will not be reset.

If the terminal is learn the structure of the event, it is read by the code (even if it is not connected to anything) and it reset as soon as the event has a chance to run.

  • "Out of the race" begins "inside."

By going to layer/Style/Style Settings/race... the small box says 'outside'... but if you try to add the racing, it is set inside.  If you change the box to 'inside', then back to 'outside', then it works.  But getting to that, even if the box says 'outside', it is actually 'inside '.  Is there a fix for that so it would actually start as 'outside '?

  • First race in call loops

I use 2 timed loop and a while loop in the same case statement.  When I called the case the first time, it runs as expected.  However, when I call the case subsequent times, the loops initially timed races and has indicated that there is an end loop error.  I have both set Timed loops (and they need to stay attached to) deal with cases not, ignore the phase.  Also, I have two timed loop on an offset from the beginning of the case.

If I change to throw cases not the racing goes, but I need to treat the case No.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of the initial of the race.

    I'm using labview 8.6.1.

I solved the problem.  It should have been obvious.  I had 2 periods loops and previously I using independent sources.  To fix it, I wired the same source of synchronization in two of them and erased the source of synchronization once data collection was completed.  Now when I active loops periods several times, I do not start with a block of timed loop errors.

    Hi all

I am about to install 11 g (11.2.0.1) grid infrastructure on Linux racnode1.orasol.com 2.6.18 - 128.el5PAE #1 SMP Wed Jan 21 08:28:04 EDT 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux 32-bit where I use the platform VMware VMware 10 of 2008. I'm sure I followed the installation instructions, but I can't get rid of the following error that occurs while I run the root.sh script. on the first node.

Maybe this is a known problem or can anyone request includes what grid infrastructure. Thanks for any effort.

    Hi Vandana,

    Thanks for your time.

I commented the line on which the IP 127.0.0.1 is shown in/etc/hosts on all nodes.

file/etc/hosts is same nodes.when I do a ping to the public ip address, it is show the IP local hots i'e 127.0.0.1 not the real that I craved in the file/etc/hosts.

After that I comment that line of hole and he ping is resolved.

I run root.sh on the second node only after finished on the first node.

In terms of VMware configuration, I've marked the disk.locking = "FALSE".

It is obvious that the diskgroup CRS would be already mounted by the first node. DiskGroup "CRS" already mounted in a different namespace locking

There is a that lock_name_space initialization parameter related to this, but that should be resolved by the YES itself the installation of clusterware/asm.

    Any help is welcome.

Let know what would help more information

    Concerning

    stupid stupid control...

had set ORACLE_SID as + ASM1 on both nodes.

Set to + ASM2 on the second node and ran new facility...

    went like a breeze...

I heard that it can also happen if the sys-network-config is not set correctly.

for example. both machines using the same name, say rac1... NOT TESTED...

It is very easy to miss one or two things with the help of VMware machine cloning.

I have a list of such things

    Bravo!

  • Steps to upgrade spirit RAC Standby Database?

    Hi all

I RAC environment with 8 knots (4 Linux) I have a knot like physical standby for this CAR.

My oracle is 10.2.0.3, and I want to update 10.2.0.5

Could you advice I do not like, when I googled I found that I must begin by Clusterware before then?

    Any recommendation?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

If you follow the second link I posted, all necessary measures are there, even if you have some CARS, it is explained here. Take a look at chapter "B.2 upgrade Oracle database with a physical Standby Database in Place", and if you have any questions post here.
