• MULTI-FUNCTION RUNTIME error

  Hi, experts,

  I am trying to run "RUN the FUNCTION PANEL" on CVI. During the construction of pilot, I checked the multi-function of this command, but it failed with the error message, Interactive runtime error - Unresolved symbol: _Math_Average.

  I do the material to the CVI basic text, and it is a very simple function. And in addition, it ran correctly when I finished the pilot, so I think that programming should be correct.

  So I fight with all editing parameters, but I couldn't find the solution.

  "' The most obvious solution to this problem would be to activate the Interactive execution environment window options found in Options ' environment ' Interactive window. These options indicate if the project or loaded instrument drivers files are used by the Interactive execution window. Otherwise, if the corresponding option is not enabled, the Interactive execution window fails to connect with your instrument driver symbol and you get an error of unresolved symbol.

  Just change the mode to sample your way of samles genearting to "samles finish" and add a constant or a control with the number of samples you want to generate...

  A customer reported that it cannot create a new function by using the Vista Panel - but he can create one using Windows XP.

  Hi John,.

  One thing you need to check on these machines that fail is the File Format of the FP.  This opens a file of .fp to the CVI, then going to the Options menu and then click on the FP File Format.  In this dialog box, make sure that the default new File Format is set to CVI 5.5 and later versions or CVI 8.5 and later versions. Once you put in one of these formats, you should be able to generate your panels to function again.  Please let me know if this does not work, or if you have any questions.

  I joined the multi - funtion.lld. In this library, "des_v2_Multi-Funtion_Synch I - AO.vi" is the program that I need to change. I've also attached a file of input for runing the program signal.

  It is a very strange behavior.  I tested out and seen the exact
  same results you are experiencing.  This was reported to R & D (AUTO ID # 130246) for further investigations.
  From what I can tell the a possible workaround solution that we have documented
  in the post of root Canal.  I can't continue to look into this in order
  to see if there is no other workaround solution or a reason why it is

• synchronization of multi function HAVE AO

  Hi all

  I would like to synchronize the analog input and two separated outputs analog (Ao0 Ao1) to a NOR-6040.

  First of all, I used synchronization function multi HAVE AO vi of examples and added a second AO as photo 1 indicates, without synchronization and it worked fine.

  But I also want the second AO (Ao1) with the acquisition of synchronization. I tried this as photo 2 States, but it always says "error: 50103 the specified resource is reserved.

  Does anyone know how to do this?

  I use them on different parts of my program, and if I have to write together I always know the value to put on the other channel (except that I'm really trying to put).

• Strange behavior with Scan function

  Hi, I see some weird behaviors with the scan function.  Here's a code (for Interactive execution) window which illustrates what I'm struggling with:

  The buffer I'm scanning has five parts.  The first character is a sign, the next 8 characters is a floating point number, then there is a space that just throw, then five characters is a string that describes the unit, and the last character is a question mark if the reading is unstable or a space otherwise.  The problem is with the last character.  When I run the above code, the value of the variable 'stable' is 32 (space), when I expect a 63 (question mark).  The other points seem to parse correctly, including the double value and the 'unit' char array that contains [g] [space] [space] [space] [space], which is exactly what I expect that it contains.

  It seems I'm missing something obvious, probably something to do with the way that the scan function manages the spaces, but I just can't understand what it is.  Thank you.

  I'm not sure about how Scan treats spaces, but if you check NumFmtdBytes () after the scan you see 12, which means that it has scanned only the 'g' (fill the rest of 'unit' with spaces according to the modifier there) and read the character immediately following the stability.

  This line correctly reads the entire string and returns bytes 16 analyses by the function, which is what is expected.

• How do I get the multi-function of labview for data acquisition on my toolbar function for lv2011? It is a reload of your laptop has crashed.

  I had to reload our installation of LV and have lv2011 and NOR-DAQMX 9.9.    I can't get the range of DAQ function to display the toolbar funtioon.   I tried to fix the OR-DAQMX driver.   It showed message "installation lv2012 support" and "facility charge SP1 lv2012".  I have not seen a message of support from lv2011.

  There was a problem downloading of configuration and 2012SP1 was wrong as my group of licenses for the account representative.  This has since been uninstalled before installing 2011 (without SP1).

  Updated the installation of the driver NOR-DAQMx vs repair.    Apparently, he saw the LV2011 and installed support files.   Everything works now.

• Multi-function generation creates code that calls releases the memory it has no allocate

  Generation of a panel based on our ActiveX component generates the code below.

  My problem is that it is free memory that it does not allocate - a bad programming practice. The user must allocate a buffer for testFilePath, but this method releases.

  This parameter is supposed to be an output parameter? If so, so that the code looks right to me. The function expects a string to pass, and then returns a different string via the same parameter. In this case, by the rules of the ActiveX, the method releases the original string after using it, and then allocates a new string. The only difference between a typical ActiveX interface and this wrapper CVI is that with a typical ActiveX interface it would operate the BStr strings instead of the C strings.

  Because the function redistributes the buffer after the release of whatever you spend, you should not change this buffer memory management in client code. The hope is that you allocate memory initially, then call this function and then free the memory some time after the return of this function. The fact that this function of reallocation of memory at the same time should not affect this process.

  If you use invalid free question, a couple of things to watch are that: 1) when you allocate memory initially, you do not use a different allocater, such as malloc in the C library, for example. If you need to allocate explicit memory, you must use CA_AllocMemory, which is what the ActiveX library and 2) that you don't have multiple references to this pointer that could potentially be released several times.

• How to make multi-function devices under linux (composite) in windows

  I was able to compile my Linux machine to a composite widget. (Series + mass storage)

  When I plug the unit on a Linux PC, the operating system was able to detect and use the two functions. But when I plug it into Windows, it is just detected as a "Gadget Composite multifunction" and I can't use it as either a mass storage or a device series.

  How can I do to make this work in Windows. Deploys a really essential custom driver for this task? If so, how this is achieved the way less "painful"?

  Here is our current configuration:
  
  Webgate1 resides on a web server that serves content for sites def.com and abc.com. His main domain cookie is set on. ABC.com.
  Webgate2 resides on a web server that serves content for the site oneid.abc.com. His main domain cookie is set on. ABC.com.
  
  The primary authentication server has the value oneid.abc.com.
  
  There is a scheme of authentication by site listed above, and the parameter "Redirect challenge" for each have been reconfigured to oneid.abc.com.
  
  Disconnection has not been customized and works OOTB (user only out of the site of action of disconnection has been invoked since).
  
  Resources x.def.com and y.abc.com, used in the example below, are protected by access policies with a login form authentication scheme.
  
  Here's the workflow:
  1. the user accesses x.def.com. The user is redirected to oneid.abc.com, connects and can access the resource.
  2. the user accesses y.abc.com and can access the resource without connecting.
  3. the user disconnects from the y.abc.com.
  4. the user accesses x.def.com again. User can access this resource without connecting.
  5. the user accesses y.abc.com. The user is prompted to log in again.
  
  Question:
  In step 5, the user can to access y.abc.com without an additional log in since MDSSO is in place. The justification is that the user is still connected to def.com and, using some ObSSOCookie which has been defined for the user in the field of def.com, MDSSO must be able to automatically connect the user again y.abc.com. Perhaps what might explain the difference in expected behaviours, is that the area of the primary for the y.abc.com cookie and the primary authentication server is the same. If this is the case, could you please explain why the result is the observed behavior?

  Since you have put MDSSO in place, you will have to find a way to disconnect multidomain as well.
  Step 3 since you disconnected abc.com, the obSSOCookie of this area is removed, but still have the cookie in the def.com field if you are able to connect again in def.com. If the central area has been completely different from the other area you would have gotten the SSO even after disconnection.

  Looks like you have a configuration where you will never be able to disconnect from def.com because the cookie in the central area will always be there until it times out.

  Here's what you need to do...
  -During the disconnection with disconnection for all domains configured

  I have not seen this problem before.  What version of LabWindows/CVI do you use?  What version of the NO-Scope driver you have installed?  In the same directory as the niScope.fp file is located, it is also a file named niScope.sub.  This file must be present in order to fill the attributes - is this file present in the directory?  Correct this problem may require a reinstall of the pilot and the support of the CVI if there is in fact a corruption of one of the files.
