Belkin USB HUB F5L009

This point has worked on Windows 7 now I am Windows 8 elements appear in the control center software, but does not any ideas connect

[Moved from comments]

I solved this problem.

In ' Manager (devmgmt.msc) Windows device, the SXUPTP driver showed as disabled. Windows gave a warning that the device was known to have stability problems. I discovered that SXUPTP is a driver of a company called Silex. Flint makes network USB hubs, so I guess the hub from Belkin is a hub of renamed Flint.

To update the Flint driver follow these steps:
1 close the tray of the network Belkin hub application.
2. download the latest version of SX Virtual Link (sx - virtual_link_win_3120.zip).
3. extract all the files.
4. in Windows Explorer, navigate to the sx-virtual_link_win_3120\s-33a3120\Files\Bin\Sxcsapi\WinVistaX64 if you are running a 64 bit OS, or sx-virtual_link_win_3120\s-33a3120\Files\Bin\Sxcsapi\WinVista if you running a 32 bit OS.
5. right click on 'Sxuptp.inf' and select 'Install' from the menu.

The driver will be installed and the warning in the Device Manager icon should disappear. You may need to reboot for the changes to take effect.

I hope this helps.

I recently bought a belkin usb hub high speed and I can't make it work on my satellite A30 properley. I was told it was something to do with the standard devive Manager improved! I was told he shouldn't say that, but not how to solve this problem? any ideas?

    Hello

Is the USB hub with external power supply.
Because without one, it may be that the A30 does not provide the tension that the hub needs!

  • Belkin usb 2.0-4 port hub - model No. f4u020

I bought a Belkin usb 2.0 hub with 4 ports. It is a model No.: f4u020 and there is no user's guide in the area and none that I can find online anywhere.  The person in the store where I bought it can't answer a phone.

The hub, I bought is "powered" it which means it came with its own cable, connector and power transformer. The other centers I've used do not have "under tension" and seem to have simply operated by using the power of the computer itself.

My computer is a Hewitt Packard (HP) 600-all-in-one with a 23-inch touch screen and a 1080 p LCD and I love her dearly.

I want to use the new hub, I bought to run a new keyboard, a different mouse I bought and my Epson printer.  That should be no problem at all because I ran all that on my previous hub 'Non-Powered.

So playing with this thing, I discovered that it is running with no other energy source, but the computer which brings me to my main point:

Can I plug the power cord usb on an electrical outlet and allow the current to flow to the usb hub that I also have the computer itself connected to a wall outlet?

This means that the computer and the new hub would receive an ankle at the same time electric current.

I am so naïve to all electronic things and I know this kind of question is probably too simple and could be offensive to anyone familiar with computer stuff very well - but I want to use the new hub and I certainly don't want to do anything by FRY to power something.

New: Should the two points - computer and hub be plugged into their own individual wall holds at the same time or should I connect one electrical appliances?

If so, that could be you choose - the hub or the computer?

Something that no one can say to help me would be sincerely appreciated since I have absolutely no common sense about these things at all.

    Hello

Based on the following link, it has a power adapter so it should just be able to do the job and you must plug it into a power outlet.

  • suddenly stops when the external usb hub is attached

My imac 27 inches 5 k 2015 suddenly stops when an external USB hub is attached supposedly designed specifically for the mac. (Cutting) The mac does not start I have to unplug it and reconnect to restart. I tried different hubs of this manufacturer and all do the same thing. Remove the hub, the computer is fine. Any ideas?

Well, try an another factory USB hub, I had good success with USB hubs powered from Belkin.

Question... are the hubs help powered or are bus powered USB? They are bus powered USB is your problem, the USB ports on iMac didn't supply enough power to power bus-powered USB hubs.

    Hello

As far as I know for some USB hubs, it is necessary to install a software that can help to use correctly. Some of them are plug and play devices and there is no need to install any additional software.

I use Satellite 1900 and also have USB hub and it works correctly. In my case, it was necessary to install the driver before the hub is connected. A demon of the mine has Belkin hub and in his case, the driver has been installed after that the laptop has recognized a new hardware component.

All this is based on the producer of hub. I hope you have some instructions how to connect the hub to the laptop on the right feel.

  • best USB hubs?

I noticed that all the USB ports more that my old IMac does not have El Capitan. Is it better to have a hub USB rather than keep unplug a device and plug in another?  If so, anyone recommend a company or design of hub rather than another?  Cutting?  Jeremy? Anker? Badges? Belkin?  J5? Badges? Is there an advantage to having changed ports? I noticed the customers Amazon find fault with several fact, find that they are unreliable.

I just need more 3 ports.

El Capitan is an operating system, it has no impact on the amount of USB ports on the computer to run on.  If the computer has 1 port, then el Capitan magically can he have 5 instead.

  • Windows Update driver installed that weaken the USB hub

This afternoon I have let Microsoft Update install certain updates that have been listed as "optional". Things suddenly stopped working. I realized that they were related to my USB Hub, one things 7 port Belkin F4U047. Windows now thinks it's a Bluetooth adapter. Specific drivers are in System32\Drivers\bthport.sys, BTHUSB. SYS and fsquirt.exe. I can't remove and reinstall. I can't remove the drivers, updating or restoring. I can't find a way to uninstall the update. It appears in the history of the update, but is not available in the programs add/tremove.

I'm puzzled. What should I do?

In Control Panel, programs & features, on the left side at the top, see installed updates.  Highlight the right part of the page and sort by Date of installation.

Now, if you select the ones that you have today, you should get the line uninstall at the top of the page.

Alternatively, use system restore to go back to yesterday.

  • My (not router) usb hub no longer works with the new update, and when it's plugged in disables all other devices.

As of October 11, 2012, my 7 port hub Belkin USB-To-Go is no longer recognized by Windows. It worked without problem until today when I installed updates. When I plug it in, nothing is displayed, but for some reason, USB ports are disabled. I tried it on several ports without result. I contacted Belkin, and it seems more likely to be a problem of driver within Windows.

You need to tell what updates have been installed, since they are usually specific PC.

    Historical Windows Update appears.

In the meantime, use a restore point for a time before this update

  • Drive external hard connected via USB hub: icons not showing on desktop

Hi... on an iMac 2015, using a USB hub 3.0 occasionally to connect an external hard drive (which stores these things as art assets)... but the external hard drive icon does not appear on the desktop... it IS in the sidebar of Finder, though...

But on the icon the Finder sidebar, the small icon "eject" gray is missing, and the only way to eject is to right click and select "eject" or use the eject button in the Finder toolbar... it's okay...

But is there a way to display the icon on the desktop, so I can always remember to eject the disks attached?

(the desktop icon shows normally when connected directly via the USB ports at the rear)

    Thank you.

Finder-> Preferences-> general, check the appropriate boxes under "show these items on the desktop".

[My personal choice is them having all checked]

  • A powered USB hub will support Ethernet / USB?

Wifi in my office is uneven, so I need to wire a Macbook Pro (if that's the term). Because the Macbook Pro is not an ethernet port, I get an ethernet cable / USB. I also get a USB hub with an AC adapter.

I know that you should not the ethernet cable / USB in a hub that is normal because it won't have enough power. But a powered hub will provide enough power for thin ethernet connection? (This laptop gets transported frequently, so I want to minimize the number of items that need to be plugged in every time.)

    Thank you-

    Christine

I wouldn't use a usb to Ethernet port, I would use the port of Thounderbolt ter http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD463LL/A/thunderbolt-to-gigabit-ethernet-adap

  • Airport Extreme and USB hub

    Hi all!!

Witch of USB hubs with printer and hard drive connected can work with last gen extreme airport?

Witch is good, the best of the witch? Powered? No powder?

You can use any hub powered; USB port of the AirPort Extreme provides only a limited amount of energy itself, and is not enough to support many readers.

  • Time machine on a usb hub

Last summer, my iMac (running El Capitan) 2010 started hooking serious problems where the only solution would be to perform a reboot of the material.  After much experimentation and running on an external drive, I discovered that Time Machine was the culprit.  That is, when TM was off, the Mac has worked well, but if I turned back on, after 12-24 hours of TM, the Mac, would essentially become unusable and require a restart of hardware.  While I would certainly prefer to have current backups made via TM, there is nothing on this machine that had not been saved on other storage devices, so I was happy to let it go for several months.  Thinking maybe TM two disks, I had been using had been corrupted, I have them off and on again 5 TB (internal drive is 1 TB).  Once again, the same results.  Thinking maybe the USB hub was at fault, I replaced the hub last night.  This morning, everything seemed fine, but four hours later, after being in mode 'sleep' for most of the time, it was frozen again.  I have attached from the player to the USB port on the iMac Freedmen and will wait to see what happens.

Now I read that Apple has recommendations for the use of TM and nowhere in there is a mention, a USB hub, for or against.  Anyone has any information (even if it's just anecdotal) regarding the use of the Time Machine disks via a USB hub?  For the record, the drive is a Seagate 5 to, USB 3.0, and I connected via USB 2 and 3 USB hubs with the same results (suspended).

Anyone who can shed light on this aura of gratitude.  It has been confusing me for some time - especially since it seems that nothing of what I found to indicate that you can not or do not use a Time Machine drive via a USB hub.

These hubs are externally powered? And what else is connected to them?

  • drive external hard connected via usb hub powered Time Capsule guard fall...

    Hello.

Try using a player external 3.5 "connected via USB hub powered to my Time Capsule to serve as a backup Time Machine secondary.

When I connect the external hard drive, it turns out, and everything seems good (Yes it is correctly formatted). I see the external hard drive in my time machine preferences panel and also the desktop browser window, etc..

After selecting the drive hard as the second backup TM, I start TM. After a few minutes the backup fruitbodies. Audit of airport utility, the drive no longer appears in the profile of Time Capsule. I can't turn back the drive without unplugging / plugging the USB cord. I went to HD (WD green 4to) and HGST 4to - deleted both.

What is the speaker (the box is powered)? Can you have a USB hub between the external hard drive and time capsuls? Something else?

Just seems like something somewhere that expire, causing it to drop the connection...

Thanks for your useful suggestions to fix this!

Is your TC the Gen5, model AC?

I must say that your experience is not uncommon. I tested it myself recently and was disappointed in how the poor reliability has been... Although not as bad as yours... in fact cutting in a few minutes to start a backup is ridiculous.

What is the speaker (the box is powered)?

Quality of the envelope varies a lot... What is it??

If this is the typical brand X... Plug it into your Mac. is it reliable?

Go to your control panel and dig up the actual USB chip used... I don't know if we can help on type a lot. But it helps us determine the fleas are a problem.

I found the hard drive in the finder to mount helped... not the sparsebundle that must be mounted by Time Machine... but the disk must be mounted in the finder so that you can copy files back to him.

I start TM. After a few minutes the backup fruitbodies.

Check in the finder, it has created the sparsebundle and works.

Can you have a USB hub between the external hard drive and time capsuls?

It's our usual recommendation... but he won't always help... especially if the USB hub is another brand X...

Note that all societies are changing USB tokens at the drop of a hat... some seller of a rival company arrives and offers them 1 c off the coast of 1 million chips it is common to spend even in the middle of a race. Even the tenors have no satisfactory fixed hardware...

The computer has loads of memory... and may contain drivers for hundreds of different USB tokens... but the TC is a very limited amount of space and with questions if the driver is not fair.

I started a thread for a database just now... has not progressed much.

  • Canvio Desk and passive USB hubs?

I have Toshiba Canvio Office 5 TB HDD (HDWC250EK3J1).

Manual says not to use passive USB Hubs, but given that this hard drive draws its energy from the wall socket, can I still use passive USB - Hub?

Is it because it slows down HD or it causes real problems?

There are situations where I would use passive USB - hub for a short period of time.

So it causes losses of data or really bad things or what?
