Bent corner trackpad

Last week, I bought a new Macbook Pro. I noticed that one of the corners of the trackpad is protruding outward. Specifically, its case is slightly down at this point. Apple service could do something about it? In all other respects, my Macbook works perfectly.

Bring the MBP.  If you bought at Apple, not a reseller, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return the MBP for an Exchange or a refund.

Ciao.

  • All M1212nf in a Doc feeder Fax upwards or downwards? Seems there is no answer insurance online? one

When google suggest you address this issue to the top or the bottom is facing it is to be face down, but when you look at the online HP, he said face place even with the bent corner that suggests it is to be face down, but they also say that it depends on the manufacturer. SO if you have a M1212nf All in One HP which is the correct way for this FAX Machine use?

    Hi Newaygo1,

The document should face upward on the document feeder, you will find listed by the user guide:

    Fax from the document feeder
    1. Insert the originals into the document feeder face-up. NOTE: The document feeder capacity is up to 35 sheets of 75 g/m2 or 20 lb media.(http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01760651.pdf)

  • The clicks of mouse and trackpad... do nothing.

MacBook Air under the age of two months.

Symptom: pointer moves on the screen I use the trackpad, noise of rattling and sensation is full, but the click does nothing in the system.  I can't click anything on the screen, can not open or close anything. Connect a wired USB mouse, same thing! -move the pointer, occurs, clicking noise but no action on the screen (or OS environment) after the clicks.

    Then... eh.

SMC Reset works temporarily, but the same symptoms returned.

Some responses have been that there has been a spill, crumbs or a chassis folded.

Crumbs?  -Gosh, maybe.  Frame bent or such?

But then WHY would a SMC restore temporarily solve the problem, as it does in my case?

If the problem was physical (trackpad inhibited by crumbs or bent), then LANDAU or SMC should not have any effect, in my mind.

In addition, if it's a problem of trackpad, why the same thing would happen with a usb mouse?

Anyway, I hate just my experience on my MacBook Air two months old now.  I know, give it to Apple and they have to him.  But, dang, the problem could be temporarily fixed, so... .it, for those who know really not on motherboards, firmware or other think about it?

Please read If your pointer is nervous when you use a trackpad, Magic Trackpad, Magic Mouse - Apple Support.

In addition, if it's a problem of trackpad, why the same thing would happen with a usb mouse?

The following can help you pinpoint the problem. Please refer to OS X El Capitan: mouse and Trackpad pane accessibility preferences.

To ignore the trackpad while using the mouse, choose (Apple menu) > System Preferences > accessibility > mouse and Trackpad. Select ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or a trackpad wireless is present.

Determine if the adjustment changes the behavior you know.

  • Notification "Trackpad low battery", but I do not use trackpad

I'm on an iMac OS X El Capitan. I get a notification popup in the upper right corner, the trackpad's batteries are low, but I'm not using a trackpad. My mouse is not even bluetooth. I have a standard mouse that plugs a USB port. So my priority issue is: How do the notification go away? But also: why it does this?

Click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar of your Mac, and then select Open Bluetooth preferences...

  • Bent 6 more screen replacement?

So in November I took a bad fall on a track and Dope the concrete sidewalk with my brand new 6. Remarkably, the screen is not broken out. My glass screen protector had cracks, but the lower left corner of the bent case metal on a little bit. It seems like a lot, but the phone still worked perfect afterwards so it was never a big deal. The metal itself is folded and the black plastic of the screen pops out about a millimeter. Although about 15 minutes ago, my phone is broken and fell off my bed. There screen still works perfectly well and my protective screen has not burst somehow then the cracked glass is contained. I do not think that the LCD needs to be replaced, just the glass (there are a few yellow spots on the screen).

My question is whether or not the folded case will be the effect replacing the screen. From what I've seen Apple will be very probably deny it and get me to buy a new phone. You all guess how a third party would react?

    Thanks - Kris

Nobody here can guess what Apple can do with your phone twisted, especially without inspection.  The only answer can come from Apple.

  • disabled trackpad?

I accidentally pushed a key combination and briefly saw this image of a stop on a finger sircle.  AND now my trackpad is not working.  (No cursor)

When I plug a mouse (Logitech Wireless), the cursor is visible remains in its original position (Center of the screen), and won't spend.

How to cancel the key combination I have pressed?

    Hello

Disconnect the external mouse and then try double clicking the upper left corner of the touch pad - it's often the method used to turn on/off the on/off button.

  • I have black spots on the upper left corner on my Pro 100

My printer started to leave a black stain on the upper left corner of anything beyond 5 x 7.  I changed the black cartridge, cleanied foam more run all maintenance tools.  Thank you

I feel pretty stupid, but I thought about it. Somehow the paper box, I was working on the upper left corner of all leaves somehow got bent slightly upwards so when the document deleted from the bottom plate that the corner would come just enough print head dragged against the paper. Thanks a lot for your help.

  • I have problems with the trackpad on my laptop Pavilion g6 (2012).

I repeated my mouse HP remotely when you use this computer because I always found difficult to use trackpad. On the use of the touchpad, he sometimes goes out of control with the scaling and scrolling text selection. I checked the driver to find she had the latest recommended driver. I walked into its configuration in the control panel with the intention to disable but can find no choice. I need two points of orientation:

    1. are there clear instructions on how to use it? (still not found)

    2. How can I disable it if the first is not successful?

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

    Hello

Find your product on a laptop number:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00033108

    Find your operating system:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-CA/Windows/which-operating-system

    In some models,.
On your TouchPad, you will see a light in the upper left corner of your keyboard. The light is usually orange. If it is on, this means that the TouchPad has been disabled.
If you look to the top left of your trackpad, there is a dash of small circle.
Press twice on the circle to lock/unlock your trackpad.

Below you will find a link on the troubleshooting of the TouchPad. Click on "Disable TouchPad" and see if it still register as disabled.
It is specific to Windows 8:
    Use and troubleshoot the TouchPad-

If this does not work, use the link below. It is similar to the link I put in my post above, but it's for Windows 7:

  • Where to download the drivers for Boot Camp (especially for the Apple TrackPad) 6.0?

I have been using Apple TrackPad with a laptop work (published by company, Windows only) for several years now. Working recently been upgraded to Windows 10 laptop and TrackPad Apple seems to not work well.

Is there anywhere I can download the boot camp 6.0 or more precisely that of Apple TrackPad driver pack?

Please download the general of brigade (https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier). A Mac is easier, but it also works well on Windows, provided that you have installed some of the underlying software that brigadier needs. You must provide a model of Mac and it will provide a WindowsSupport.dmg for this specific Mac/model on which this trackpad is supported.

What is the new Trackpad2 or the original Trackpad?

  • After the update of Sierra: not to Disable Trackpad with Magic Mouse connected

    Hello

After that I updated to macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro the Trackpad is not disable mouse connected with Magic.

Feature: MacBook Pro retina 15 inches (end of 2014) on macOS Sierra.

Since the update, I noticed that my stays compatible with my Magic Mouse connected after built-in trackpad window connection.

In system-> accessibility-> mouse and Trackpad preferences, I have not "ignore the built-in trackpad when mouse or trackpad wireless is present". If I switch it off and on again once again, the parameter will be.

However, once I lock the device (user name right-> connection... window) and reconnect, the trackpad works. You must pass the parameter each time.

Is this a bug of Mac OS Sierra (can't find anything) or am I missing something? I am aware that the trackpad is reactivated at the login window, but before it will deactivate after logging in.

I don't use Magic Mouse, but I have USB Wired mouse and I have the same problem since installing Sierra.

I have the box ticked, but I must go and clear the check box and then save.

I have to use a mouse all the time because my trackpad goes haywire and I wasn't able to find a solution for this. It moves its own and open stuff on its own.

  • Hot corner Windows Application

    Hello
Just got my iMac after a few repairs.
They set up the Sierra for me.
Now, when I was in El Capitan hot corners for windows Application would display all of the windows open for all open applications. I find when I do now, in the Sierra, he shows that the active window before?

This seems useless, as I am already with that. How can I do be defined to display all open windows?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Rob Snow.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I understand that you are trying to implement your active corners, and I'd love to help. You can customize what your active corners show by going to System Preferences > desktop and screensaver. Click the screen saver tab, and then click the corners at the bottom right. Here, you can select another function for each corner (or leave the field blank). To view all your open applications, you can select 'Mission Control' on any angle you like.

If the behaviour continues or if you encounter difficulties, the entire community is here to help.

  • Trackpads only 2 fingers scrolling on the Mac Mini

I have two Magic trackpad (wireless), a couple of years; No will 2 fingers scrolling on my Mac Mini (try them for the first time on the Mini). both work fine on my other machines.  All machines are updated to the latest version of El Capitan, a lot of RAM.  Same settings trackpad on all machines.  The movement of the cursor trackpad, highlighting, click Select OK on the Mini, but no two fingers scrolling, without pinching to resize.  Have not checked all the possibilities, but lack of scrolling is a deal breaker.  Track pad update 1 is too old, have not found another.  Tried with mouse wireless on and outside.  A run first aid.  Reinstalled the system software.  Even enabled the scrolling options, the settings of the mouse.  Help!

If two of your machines running El Capitan and touchpads are version 1 of Trackpad, it is probably the reason.   While versions more old mouse and trackpad will work to some extent, all the features with El Capitan requires the version of Magic Trackpad 2.   The MT2 has developed especially for El Capitan and later operating systems.   I know that it's a nuisance, but the new trackpad is levied directly on your machine and needs no battery.
