BES support JCO RFC, SOAP, XML java libraries
Hi I'm new to Blackberry I have some doubts about this
Applications are not deployed 'in' a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). The BES can be used to deploy applications on a BlackBerry smartphone, which will then connect through the BES to a back-end server application.
There is no specific requirement to configure a BES to allow push. Once a BlackBerry smartphone has been activated on a BES he is able to receive pushed data.

Hi all
I have a simple question. I am using mail library of some j2ee at my request. It works well. I used a lot of things like that.
My question is, is this a good practice?
Thank you
VinayOf course, the library of j2ee javax mail is very good.
Access to a wide variety of Java libraries is one of the main advantages of JavaFX development.Things to consider in choosing libraries are:
-What is the learning curve of their API for you and other developers?
-How to introduce this library will affect (positively and negatively) the architecture of my solution?
-are the features beneficial to your needs?
-How is the stability and the support of the library?
-What is the size of the library for web deployments?
-What are the requirements of privilege for sandboxed applications?
-What are the other dependent libraries your chosen library can bring along for the ride? (beware the kitchen sink, unless you need clean dishes)
The learning curve and complexity introduce some libraries as well as their architectural impact is the most important and often the review underestimated.
Many libraries is in fact frameworks that define the format of your solution, so, in this case, you need to be comfortable that you want to format that they define.
Sometimes less can be more. For example, using a small library for JSON manipulation via a connection HTTP for client-server communication rather than a large number of WS-* SOAP libraries is much simpler for developers to understand and often gets the job done easier - even if WS-* libraries provide many more features that may seem so much better on paper. Curiously, it sometimes takes years allowing developers to do this. For many, many things, you will produce a better product more quickly with a good library to try to build things yourself - today the world needs to be built with glue more than wood.
Then you turn your attention to the implementation of features like a great user interface or a storage interface smart google app engine mail rather than re - implement, perhaps wrongly, an smtp e-mail client. -
The lack of support of Open GL in Java FX 2 forces us to use Swing?
Hello
We are about to begin the development of a major UI in Java. Of course, we prefer this implementation in Java FX 2, rather than Swing. However, we need return 3D models heavy (generated from several CAD files) with superposition of 3D point clouds with ~ 400 K points. We already have an implementation of Swing that supports this, based on the JOGL API. What I understand, there is no support for JOGL or similar OpenGL wrapper Java FX 2. Instead, Java FX 2 seems to aim at a high level 3D API. Based on previous attempts to use similar high-level API in .NET (for example WPF 3D) world, high-level 3D API usually are not suitable when working with complex 3D models and.
Therefore, I would like to ask for suggestions on what to do here. Do we have to develop our new Interface in Swing because of this? Or the JavaFX announced SwingNode can be used to encapsulate such a complex Swing component? If so, how performance would suffer from the packaging of JavaFX? If the SwingNode does not resolve the problem and so we need to implement the main application in the swing, consider still implement the subviews non - 3D with Java FX 2 or must go us to Swing all the way? Our developer group has experience of the swing, but no Java FX. Yet he felt no good start the development of a new user interface - what we maintain for many years from now - using an application framework obsolete. We are about to decide our way forward here and would appreciate any thoughts on this topic.
Thank you
Thomas Berglund
See this StackOverflow question: How to use OpenGL in JavaFX?
It seems that the best answer for you is the addition of a node OpenGL JavaFX.
An OpenGL node not yet added to the JavaFX platform.
Like you have a team of people experienced in 3D development and Java and all corresponding JavaFX code is open source, I encourage you to consider creating an OpenGL or working with Oracle to create node one and (if you're inclined) contributing to the development of back to the JavaFX code base. If you are interested in this, contact the openjfx-dev mailing list.
> Don't we need to develop our new Interface in Swing because of this?
I don't think so.
> Or the JavaFX announced SwingNode can be used to encapsulate such a complex Swing component?
I don't know, but apparently not quite the right approach for me.
It seems that a dedicated OpenGL rendering node would be a better fit, as long as you don't need other functions of Swing in your SwingNode.
> If Yes, how performance would suffer from the packaging of JavaFX?
I think that if you had a JavaFX node that was a Swing node that has treated OpenGL performance would be probably worse than a knot of JavaFX managed OpenGL directly.
> If the SwingNode does not resolve the problem and so we need to implement the main application in the swing, consider still implement the subviews non - 3D with Java FX 2 or must go us to Swing all the way?
Of either way would work, but I do not recommend mixing technology for your application, unless you have to.
There are a few considerations with mixture of JavaFX and Swing:
1 swing widgets a different aspect of the JavaFX widgets (and it's not trivial to make it look the same).
2. you get two boxes to tools and then mentally switch between them during the development (it's all just annoying).
3. He must be (very) attention to the problems of thread as each toolkit has its own main thread.
4. There are some bugs mix JavaFX and Swing (Search JFXPanel in the incident manager) that would not just happen if you weren't mix libraries (most of these bugs have been addressed, but some are exceptional).
5. the Swing features will not change, he's good at what he does, but he won't change and improve.
He wasn't there (very) experimental by merging the application threads to JavaFX and Swing, making it a model of combined programming a little more pleasant to deal with, but remains to be seen if this experimental feature becomes a default value for both platforms.
Unless you want to reuse existing extended Swing libraries (like NetBeans RCP), a pure JavaFX application seems better (as long as the node OpenGL can be developed).
> Our developer group has experience of the swing, but no Java FX.
There are similarities, prior knowledge of the Swing are an advantage, but there are a lot of new things to learn in JavaFX (and a few things to unlearn the likely swing).
My 2 c... good luck with your project.

I'm fairly new to BB10 and began work on an application that needs to talk to my existing web service.
I went by the xml soap example given in bb application examples and have so far managed to create a login in qml page (to collect the user name and password) and to authenticate the connection against my web service.
Webservice response returns to mywebservice::0nservicerequest() and from there I don't know what to do.
I need to (A) bring the answer to my qml and based on the response, go to an another qml (homepage) if validation was successful - something like
If (myresponse is '1')
{
navPane.push (welcomepage)
}
or
(B) access to the qml in the webservice.cpp inside::0nservicerequest() mywebservice - I've seen and tried several examples but without success
Thanks in advance
I finally realized that I need to use QDeclarativePropertyMap

Add to that a host of SOAP translates java.lang.NullPointerException
Hello
get an error on the attempt to add a host of SOAP with the add a workflow host SOAP.
I tried a few different ways to get the added host of SOAP, but no does not work. Also, I have seen here different positions within the community which I have tried to apply to my problem with the same result.
I have attached the WSDL file and also the WSDL_FULL file that contains the schema that I want to use.
Hope for help
Kind regards
Chris
A possible reason for the NPE is a problem in the plug-in associated with the references used for the named attributes.
To work around the problem, you can try to replace the following tag in the schema.xml file:
with this one:

The script generation is not supported for Table with XML or UDT column Types
I get this message trying to generate a script to create a table with an XMLTYPE column. We use the Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio to generate scripts as SQLDeveloper does still not support TFS integration. He was always pretty easy to generate scripts and maintain control of source code in this way (with the exception of materialized views). It was great, just right click and generate a script for the project and check it in. Unfortunately as the adoption of XML grows, we find passage to the SQL Developer more often to perform tasks not supported and then return to the VS IDE to manage source code control. Free of any chance that it will be supported in the future?
Yes, our plan is to support several types as time goes by.
You possibly can speed things along by voting or by filing a request for new feature here:

Java Web Start with various java libraries different version.
Hi fellow Java developers.
I have a Java Web Start program that works very well.
My application uses JAX - WS among many other libs.
I would like to continue my support for Java 1.5 as long as possible. JAX - WS is not included in Java 1.5, so I've been packing via start Java web.
Now I wish I had a JNLP file that provides Java 1.5 with JAX - WS, while sending is not the 10 MB for customers Java 1.6 or 1.7. Is there a way to do this?
The problem may be just as relevant within 6 months for Java 1.6 and 1.7 :)
My server applications (Tomcat) doesn't seem to know which version of Java has a client, so he can't provide the a JNLP different version (or y at - it an easy way to achieve this?).
for example
but it is only beginning of java web on the client displays<jnlp>.... <resources> <j2se version="1.5"/> <jar href="FastInfoset.jar"/> <jar href="http.jar"/> <jar href="jaxws-api.jar"/> .... </resources> <resources> <j2se version="1.5+"/> <jar "mysoftware.jar" /> </resources> <resources> <j2se version="1.6+"/> <jar "some_libraries_specific_to_java_6.jar" /> </resources> </jnlp>
I'd appreciate any suggestions really.<jnlp>.... <resources> <j2se version="1.5"/> <jar href="FastInfoset.jar"/> <jar href="http.jar"/> <jar href="jaxws-api.jar"/> .... <j2se version="1.5+"/> <jar "mysoftware.jar" /> <j2se version="1.6+"/> <jar "some_libraries_specific_to_java_6.jar" /> </resources> </jnlp>
Thank you

What do I do about this error? -Server does not support the RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555
I get this message to both cox.pop and a verizon.pop of servers
When it occurs, TB connects and he's there, without having to download the messages. I can send them however.
It is an intermittent problem. It is not always the case.Thank you in advance.
JackThis is a warning and harmless, if bulky to the error console.
It is not your problem, whatever it is. It is a warning that your server doesn't support security. But is nothing important in the world of ISPS who refuse to do security as it complicates things and increases their support costs. As an indicator, perhaps it indicates your anti virus having a fit. Try disabling anti virus scanning email and see if the error Stops. I have a suspicion it will be.

It seems that the service we ask is having a problem. What we want to do is save the reply message, but weblogic web services moves upwards until it never happens to our code. How can we have weblogic 10.3 dump HTTP all response including all headers and payload so that we can see the exact message that the service is back? The invocation is via https, so we can simply sniff the packets. You can set the property system, com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump = true
This will cause the HTTP request and response to print to the outside system.
Your external service seems to return a web page and no SOAP. I've seen this happen under load when the remote server returns a page like: "the server is busy... try again later. ', etc..
You control the remote service? Is - this WebLogic or something else?

Thanks in advance,
SainabaSainaba salvation,
Did you go through the Meadow requistes correctly?
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/BPM/downloads/index.html
Prerequisites & the recommended installation processThat States
Database
Oracle database is the database recommended for deployments of BPM Suite. Note that Oracle Express Edition (XE) 10.2.0.1 does not meet the requirement of the minimum version of use supported, but will usually work in a personal development environment.
If you use Oracle XE as your database, you must set the RCU_JDBC_TRIM_BLOCKS true environment variable before you run the RCU. Reminder about the level of support, when executing the RCUS against XE you receive a warning indicating that the database version is not supported by Oracle. If UCR has been run without defining this RCU_JDBC_TRIM_BLOCKS (with XE DB), please drop and recreate the schema.

Is THAT SOAP supports the JSON format?
I am aware that REST is slight and besides it supports JSON. But I would like to use the benefits of SOAP as its State-fullness and asynchronous are supported.
Apache axis2 documentation specifies that JSON is another format for XML and axis2 will JSON support. Is SOAP supported his envelope, header and be in JSON as SOAPjr? If it supports JSON, how consuming by using the .NET client? Could someone provide me with advice for this. Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance.

IMO Web services should be stateless, stateful implementations end up causing a lot of bugs and are costly to maintain. On asynchronous support... both REST and SOAP services can be called synchronously or asynchronously, so based on the appeal mechanism.

Thanks in advanceSOAP is based on XML, the last time I looked in the specifications there is no mention of JSON. No experience with SOAPJr but looks like an interesting project. How to consume in a .NET client... is a question of a .NET forum :)

< SkinFactoryImpl > < getSkin > cannot find a skin that fits the family portal and version v1. We will use the portal.desktop of the skin.
You must install the latest patch bundle for WebCenter portal.
I believe that this error is a bug caused by certain features that are available in the portal Builder, but not in a framework application.
Basically, WebCenter is throwing items of metadata to specific models of devices. In the portal Builder, you can create different templates depending on the device, but this feature is not available in the framework where the error.
Just install the latest patch bundle and your problem should be solved.
Also... Note that Oracle recommendation is to use the portal generator and not to develop any new application with the framework.
