  Hi all

  I wonder what would be the best way to view and perhaps make calculations (full speed for example, to get the distance) of historical data.   I am currently using a lot of LabVIEW applications during the trials that generates a large amount of data.  Currently, we are writing these data on a line CAN.  An external SOMAT EDAQ then captures these data and we use Infield to look at our data and print graphs and so on.

  Now I think that National Instruments must have its own display of historical data and printing of graphics software and thus takes away or develop our own applications with LABVIEW?  Is there any data format, you can write to LabVIEW (LVM or PDM?) and then another National Instruments software which is easy to use for data visualization?

  Hi LievenD,

  If you want to display the TDMS files (which I recommend), you have two options:

  (1) make a LabVIEW program.  However, it is very trivial.  I have attached a VI that retrieves data in two different ways, and as you can see there are only four functions.

  (2) you can see all the data in Microsoft Excel using this add-on: TDM Excel Add - In for Microsoft Excel Download

  I'm a photographer and I'm looking for a Dell laptop that will work well with Photoshop CS6. It seems that Photoshop will not support a screen high ground for Windows so I have to stay at a size of 1920 x 1080 (max).

  I would like to get something that has:

  1. excellent range of colours and precision

  2 IPS, or according to the worst angles of excellent visualization technology

  3 side at least 300 NITS

  Please let me know what you would recommend. I want to stay with Dell because we have owned many of them and feel comfortable with Dell.

  Need for better visualization without jerky look of a stutter and overall better performance incease.

  Would I do better with? (Choose one please)

  1. Passing of an SSD to 2 SSD in RAID 0 configuration - cost about $350.
  2. Getting my video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti for a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 overclocked to 4 GB GDDR5 graphics card - $350.

  At this point, you're pretty much stuck to a GPU upgrade. You see, that the GTX 560 Ti is not is properly supported in first Pro CC 2015 when it comes to acceleration GPU of MPE. As such, you may experience random program crashes and/or repeated which are fixed only when you disable acceleration GPU of MPE and run first in software mode only MPE.

  The other improvements are out of the question: the i7 990 X CPU uses the chipset Intel X 58 now-seven-year-old, whose native Intel SATA ports are limited to SATA II (3 GB/s or 300 MB/s) flow. All support 3 SATA or USB 3.0 on motherboards that use such an old chipset comes entirely from complement third-party chipsets to companies such as NEC/Renesas and Marvell. And we know how slow the Marvell SATA 3.0 ports work are compared with native Intel SATA 3 implementation on newer chipsets. Unfortunately, a CPU upgrade would have exceeded the maximum budget $ 350 because both the CPU and motherboard (and probably RAM as well) should be replaced by such upgrade. And additional SSD upgrades are out of the question because newer SATA SSD would have been restricted by the sustainable maximum rate of 270 MB/s of SATA II.

  Therefore, the only feasible upgrade would be a new GPU for your system now five-years.

  In ACR I adjust the image so that it looks OK to me.

  But there are a few differences in the cab and PS visualization of the image (color, contrast, etc.).

  In programs like foto-viewer of windows , there is another difference (compared to ACR and PS) > > images have more contrast and darker than the visualization in PS

  Another program Irfanview shows the image with less color (saturisation).

  I did a test print (in a center of the photo), this picture translates into something between Irfanview and Psalm

  Question:

  What is the best program or way to adjust the color / contrast, etc to make me a photo-image (on paper) which is the same as what I see on the screen of the monitor mij.

  Probably still a problem with color management.

  PS is color managed, will honor an embedded profile (or tag) in an image and to 'bend' the colors according to the color space of image and its supported monitor.  Check the color settings to see if / what that PS takes in what concerns monitor color space and image profiles.  Other programs are not color management and send the RGB values directly to the monitor.

  You can't see a difference if the image has an sRGB profile (or none), but that say a picture comes up with its Adobe 1998 color space.  Photoshop will honor but other programs will not, then you will see a net difference of saturation.  Adobe 1998 being a larger color space, it uses small differences between R, G, B to a saturation of the color indicated that would exist in sRGB, so seen in a managed application without colors, the image will appear less saturated than in PS.  And other "Pitfalls" that can cause the effect reverses.

  You must have a minimum knowledge of color management to be able to reconcile various appearance of the image between the various applications.

  Use the canvas if you want to explicitly position child components.  Use a layout container if you want a dynamic repositioning.

• Problem in the visualization of a converted JavaHelp (jar) file (created using RH2002 to RoboHelp X 5)

  I have a (compressed javahelp) javahelp project created using RoboHelp 2002. The output files are jar files.
  
  The source files are .mpj. When I consult the existing jar files without converting the project to the .xpj I am able to view the jar files.
  
  However, this project should be upgraded to RHx5. The conversion of (.mpj to .xpj), everything seems to work fine and javahelp files are generated. But when I try to view the jar files, nothing is displayed.
  
  I get the following error. Please see below.
  
  Everyone comes across something similar? I have to take care of, before moving on to .xpj? I can't locate the file glo.xml in HR.

  in my case, I need to display waveforms of the stream, so that the user can jump using the waveform visualization. as our files tend to be huge (a few hours), I wrote a little app which boils the audiodata in sounds files binary files which I then load in flex. Basically, I'm taking the biggest audiosample for all n samples and write to a file.

  After loading the data of waveform in a table, I simply draw a vertical line for each sample.

  I don't know if this is what you where after, but it could be useful.
